Absolutely delicious! Very generous and tasty. Great service. We ate two days in a row and we had a great meal. Very recommended!!!

I've had many incredible meals at Taisteal over the years, its one of my favourite restaurants in Edinburgh. But I wanted to leave a review after my most recent visit because it was one of the best meals I've ever had. I had the chicken noodle soup, followed by the teriyaki venison and it was delicious. The atmosphere in the restaurant is always perfect too - a good buzz but never overly noisy. The customer service is always a highlight too - me and my pals left feeling very spoilt. Thank you Taisteal!

Lovely relaxed dining atmosphere with tasty, fresh ingredients. I am coeliac, and very confident with their prep of gluten free food!

Absolutely lovely little coffee shop, waited a little while as they had forgotten about our order but was given two custard tarts by way of apology. Coffee and tarts were beautiful. Will definitely be back.

My wife and I along with two friends went out for our usual Christmas Lunch on Saturday. After some deliberation we settled on 'Dine at Craiglockart'. Best choice ever. The front of house managed by Aiden kept everything running smoothly and Bar Manager Lewis made sure the drinks and coffee's kept flowing. Also must give a shout to Kitchen staff, the food was excellent. Highly recommended. Thanks to all.

Un concurrido café / restaurante en el corazón de Morningside popular entre los lugareños. Menú completo con un montón para elegir. Personal amable y servicial.

Me and my wife wandered in after a meal down the road, we are glad we did! The decor was lovely, the staff attentive and the drinks flowed. The service was good, table only, due to restrictions but this wasn't an issue. The young gent serving us was chatty, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a mixture or cocktails and beers, all great, the prices are also reasonable. Would recommend, a little out of the way but worth a visit!

We've been to groats before when it was a pop-up, we were over the moon when it found a permanent home, then not so happy when they announced they were moving. On that note, we had to go back and try it again! Famous for it's porridge, we went for one porridge and one French toast. Two refillable coffees to wash it down. The French toast was perfect, thick sliced and perfectly cooked. When you do something so good, keep doing it - this is groats all over. Will be looking out for when they next find a home.

Went to this place a while back and it was lovely. Great food and a real homely feel. Not now.....food was awful....calamari seemed open cooked from frozen, crispy chicken wings were far from crispy and every tapas dish was loaded with iceberg lettuce. Poor quality. And very noisy!

Superb moment. A really nice place, warm, bright, in a dynamic neighborhood… The service is really great, friendly, attentive. The food was quality (except the fries!!) A place where you feel good and where you enjoy staying…

Estaba intrigado por probar la compañía gratuita ya que la había visto en línea y me la había encontrado un par de veces. Defo fuera del camino en Balerno por una pista de granja, que es bastante emocionante en la oscuridad. Lol. Recibido por nuestro hist por la noche con una cálida bienvenida y una introducción rápida sobre cómo la noche se desarrollaría. Se le muestra al bar donde tienen su selección habitual, y por supuesto, algunas cervezas y refrescos caseros. El Kombucha casero era excelente. Los canarios se sirven y saben excelente. Arriba para cenar en el desván. Asientos de banco, que, si bien están bien, después de 3 5 horas te deja bastante entumecido. En la comida. Muy respetuoso con el medio ambiente y la agricultura, pepinillos y carnes curadas para empezar eran excelentes, masa madre de parque de bomberos y mantequilla de miel batida también eran muy buenos. La remolacha con Crowide fue excelente, así como la siguiente trucha. De hecho, la Trucha fue el punto culminante de la noche. Hogget era la carne de la noche, y sabía excelente. Sin embargo, y aprecio que este sea un menú degustación, pero la porción de marmota, la parte comestible era un mero bocado de bocado, lo que fue muy decepcionante. El postre estaba delicioso, y los petit fours eran... interesantes. Los maridajes de refrescos son una mezcla muy ecléctica con algunos sabores inusuales y algunos extraños. En general, creo que la tesis detrás del restaurante es excelente. Algunas de las ideas están un poco por ahí, y definitivamente vale la pena intentarlo.
