Me and my wife wandered in after a meal down the road, we are glad we did! The decor was lovely, the staff attentive and the drinks flowed. The service was good, table only, due to restrictions but this wasn't an issue. The young gent serving us was chatty, friendly and knowledgeable. We had a mixture or cocktails and beers, all great, the prices are also reasonable. Would recommend, a little out of the way but worth a visit!

Can't recommend high enough, very reasonably priced drinks, good cocktails, student discount. The food was AMAZING! Service was a little slow but lovely when it arrived. Never knew about this place but will definitely be back! My new local!

Had a truly delicious meal with my wife and son on a Monday night in Edinburgh. Marios, our waiter looked after us very well and we loved the ambiance, comfort, music and most of all the food. Great value and we were offered a 20% student discount as my son is at University here. Great evening all round. Would really recommend Damm27 to all. Peter

If you are in Scotland, I highly recommend this place! It was our last night in Scotland and we tried this place since it was within walking distance to where we were staying. It was a very fortunate find. The food was delicious and the drinks were very well made. The service was spectacular. The ambiance was very relaxing and inviting. If you find yourself wondering where to end your evening, this is the place to be!

Popped in for a Drink : Decided to check out the Menu . Went for the Ribeye & Chips :I like it crispy on the outside . The steak and chips were both Crispy .. Marvellous. Best Steak for a long Time . Service: I wasn’t left waiting .. I will be Back .. I am local .. Dougie : Horologist .

I love the pie and I love the ice cream which was so real and real home made ice cream experience Pie was so delicious!!! And the venison (deer) meat was very delicious too . Staff were lovely and make me feel comfortable despite of the opposing efforts of the “guys” *** Update 07.03.2025, there is a new well dressed guy at the bar making faces if he does not like your look.

17 St. Stephen StreetWe've been to groats before when it was a pop-up, we were over the moon when it found a permanent home, then not so happy when they announced they were moving. On that note, we had to go back and try it again! Famous for it's porridge, we went for one porridge and one French toast. Two refillable coffees to wash it down. The French toast was perfect, thick sliced and perfectly cooked. When you do something so good, keep doing it - this is groats all over. Will be looking out for when they next find a home.
