Our favourite shop in the area! Really amazing gelato with lots of different flavours available. Lovely staff and reasonable prices

One of the best gelato in Scotland so far. The amarena cherry flavour reminded me of my Italian childhood. Elena the shop assistant was very friendly and informative.

How have I only just discovered this gem in Gullane! I found this place via a family member who recommended a visit for ice cream. The shop it’s self is very inviting, clean and modern but the star of the show was the ice cream! Highly recommend the tiramisu or mango ice cream!

The gelato here is delicious! We get it every time we visit Gullane. Our favourites are mint choc chip, cherry ripple, and rum & raisin. The staff are very friendly too. I highly recommend. Clearly, the person that left the negative review cannot grasp that Imma’s Artisan Gelato sells gelato not ice cream …

Do not judge a book by it cover. The shop it's self if amazing, but the produce was bad and the pot had a false bottom and the ice cream it's self had a strange flavour which means it is more like ice water rather than ice cream. I was highly disappointed with the chocolate and the hazelnut and pistachio. Over all I thought that I was completely and utterly ripped of. Imma's truly deserves to be avoided during your stay.

I've been here numerous times and have never been disappointed in the quality of the gelato on offer here. The pistachio and hazelnut flavours, as well as the cherry ripple are a particular highlight. The owners also run "The Main Course" restaurant in Gullane Village, which is a lovely italian place for dining out. Imma's deserves to be visited during your stay.

We turned up for our booking and they didn’t have a table available. “You must have booked the beer garden, we can set up a heater” they offered. It’s December 29th and we don’t book the beer garden No apology, We went to Zitti next door and had a lovely lunch.

Oil and balsamic vinegar bottles just plonked on table should be served in dip bowls - I asked waiter if dish I wanted would be covered in a sauce - he convinced me it would’t but it was completed drowned in sauce - not happy!!

Can't say enough good things about this hotel. Room was nigh on spotless and very fresh looking so I'm guessing was refurbed quite recently - I hadn't looked at photos before booking so I was pleasantly surprised by how nice it was. The bed was really comfy and the shower was great. The temperature of the was perfect too despite it being a cold night. I didn't have dinner but the cooked breakfast was really good and the portions were generous. I couldn't think of a way to improve it. The man with grey hair I spoke to on the phone and on reception was very pleasant. I don't know if he's the owner or a member of staff, but if he's staff then the owners should know how good he is. Location is good as is only a 5 minute walk from the train station, has a car park and is right on a main road so easy to find (but not noisy). Price was reasonable, too. All in all, 10/10.

We went to the Prestonpans shop today for a few baguettes before we started wrapping christmas presents. We always buy BLT baguettes and a Mexican burger or similar and a few scones. Apparently they don’t sell hot food anymore or so we were told and we ended up with cold bacon strips. It was disgusting. Never thought I’d say this about the filling station as I’ve always gave it as a recommendation and held it in high regard in the past. I cooked my own bacon to put on the baguettes in the end but at £4.80 a time I was rather disappointed. No scones left but I could accept that. I am not sure of the reasons for the no hot food thing, is it to do with a licence or what? Just doesn’t have the same feel to it either. Maybe it’s changed hands? Anyway, we are from further up the country and sadly we won’t make the trip again.

Quite honestly this is the best pizza I’ve had in years! Our first visit and so glad we live locally as will be back many times I’m sure. Can’t fault the pizza - lovely thin crispy base, very generous toppings, perfectly seasoned and quite simply delicious. And very reasonably priced too. Only a few tables if you want to eat in so probably best to book, especially for larger groups.
