Great place to eat :) Family owned restaurant with great service and awesome food: Scotish, Turkish 🧿❤ & Mediterranean. At the end of your meal don't forget to drink traditionaly served Turkish coffee with Turkish delight!

Very tasty food with great breakfast and lunch options served all day. Loved the ambience and the sights. The staff were amazing and very accommodating, especially Erlo who was looking after our table. Would definitely visit again !

A great place recommended to us by a Leith local. It’s our second visit and we’ll be back again. Turkish breakfast is our choice. House roasted coffee superb.

We were staying at Leith and some locals told us about Cafè Truva for the best coffee around. We had our coffee for takeaway and was pleasantly surprise the we only had to pay £1 for a cup as it was their 26th Anniversary! The staff were lovely and the interior decor was sooo nice, I felt like I could stay there all morning. Coffee was amazing and will definitely pick one up again tomorrow

My partner and I visited for brunch. We thought everything was excellent. The service and atmosphere was perfect for a mid-morning experience. There seemed to be a few happy regaurls there too. We had the Turkish breakfast and the Turkish Meze, both of which were really really good. We'll definitely be back again soon to try some other items on the menu.

Unauthentic food, if I was served Lidl Hummus I’d’ve been happier. Their Hummus is dreadful to say the least. Man the whole meze plate tasted like it came straight from a prison🤢. To top it off, when it came time to pay, the owner rudely asked, "Don’t you want to leave a tip since we don’t charge a service fee?" right in front of my friends. How unprofessional, tacky and cheap can you get?

This small Turkish eatery and coffee shop offered great coffee and one of the best chicken and avocado salads I've had. The server was quite helpful, too. Isat, ate, read my book and relaxed.

We had a wonderful time in Café Truva last week. Didn't plan to eat somerhing but had bagel which was delicious. Owner and staff were very friendly. Will recommend Café Truva to anybody!

Great atmosphere. Service was good, waiter was pleasant and friendly. Food looks amazing and there is defiantly more care and attention when came to the Turkish dishes, which to be expected. Though the English breakfast was underwhelming, small portion size with only one piece of the standard ingrediencies e.g. bacon, sausages, hash browns. I usually expect two pieces for some of these. So, I recommend only ordering the Turkish dishes.

had Turkish bagel and flat white here. all is okay. toilet was clean as well. server was attentive. tbh, i was trying to have breakfast at Toast a place just a few minutes walk from here but it was bustling and had a Q i cant stand. went to Truva as at time they had some seats available. had not regret a lil bit at all. stay for a chat with my friend for a while. overall, worth visiting

Melahat is absolutely wonderful and the homemade breakfast is really lovely! Everything tastes super fresh (especially the cigar borek !!) The location is perfect just by the water at the shore. There is also free WiFi. We recommend everyone to come here for their stay in Edinburgh!

The Baklava was delicious. So very tasty. And I had an excellent Latte to go with it. Very pleasant place. It's right on the Shore, so has the Water of Leith at its front door.

Everyone was very friendly. It's a complete family environment. Breakfasts are very tasty.

Great coffee, roasted on premises. Lovely fruit scone. Very friendly and welcoming service. Good view out on the Water of Leith. The Turkish menu looks and smells great and they do offer Gluten Free options on request.

We ordered Turkish Brunch bagel and Truva Royale. The food was great and the staff were so kind that we felt like ourselves at home. If you are into Turkish cuisine, you should try Cafe Truva.

BEST CAFE EVER! The Bayraktar family went above and beyond. The food, the service and the drinks were wonderful. Definitely a must visit in Edinburgh. Made the journey from Newcastle to Edinburgh all that more worth while. Stay amazing :))

This is such a gorgeous family run cafe in the best location! Received a really warm welcome and top tier service from the staff. I ordered the Truva Royale, it was absolutely delicious. Thank you for a great experience!!!

Two days ago, my wife and I had breakfast here. Unfortunately, we did not like the breakfast and we were disturbed by the fact that the employee did not greet us with a smile. He gave us two small breads for breakfast for two people and when I asked for more, he immediately added it to the account. We go to have breakfast every week in London. This morning, their menu is richer and the prices are more affordable. We went to another place that serves Turkish breakfast. We really liked their welcome and friendliness. Please be more friendly to people. At least saying "hello, where are you from, where did you come from?" can make people happy, bye bye.

Popped in for a coffee this morning. Just excellent. Beautiful coffee, beautiful coffee machine, and they toast their own beans every week. I'll be back tomorrow morning.

The entire staff are passionate and friendly, however, Kerem is the best hospitality worker on planet earth. He’s the single best maker of coffee ever, as well as an all-round legend of a human. What else is there to say? Truva is just simply the epitome of family-owned multicultural small business brilliance. Stunning Turkish flavours with a hint of local influence. And it’s all been achieved with something that’s been around for centuries: brilliant Scottish ingenuity. If you haven’t eaten here, you haven’t really been to Edinburgh.

Stopped in by chance at the end of a walk and had an amazing experience! Really tasty food and super friendly staff. I had the shakshuka and meze and my wife had the truva royale - all delightful and we’ll be back to try the others for sure!

Nice staff with cozy seating. Sausage was a bit off tasting and the bread was stale but otherwise avg breakfast plate.

I had breakfast here today and I have never left a review before but feel like I have to for this place! The atmosphere is so lovely and open, and the staff are so attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The food was also the best brunch I have had in edinburgh by a far shout, for a very reasonable price. I was pleased to see vegan options too, and the takeaway menu looked great. It makes me so happy to find places like these that have been created with so much love! Will definitely be returning.

We had the best experience with the owner of Truva and food. The owner was so sweet and caring. We have only good things to say about Truva. We will definitely come back if we are coming back to Edinburgh.

Best breakfast in town! Turkish breakfast is the perfect combination for a healthy and nutritious breakfast. The lentils soup 🍲 is delicious too!! The coffee is great too and spectacular kind service!

Very satisfying food. Filling and fresh. Lots of good vegetarian options, and my friend said the sausage was excellent. Perfect tea. Yummy sweets. Very nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Nice people only one thing I had lental soup worse soup I ever had very watery definitely wasn't a good pot of scotch lental soup so I'll be giving that a miss next time otherwise the hamburger was good along with the chips and coffee was very good also but I'll have to teach them to make a good pot of Scottish soup sorry

I had the Turkish coffee with Turkish delight which was nice, with pistachios through the Turkish delight. My friend had a very generous portion of banana and walnut loaf I think. Nice young lads serving that made the cake too. Would visit again.

A first visit since Covid to this deservedly popular eatery in an excellent waterside location in Leith lived up to expectations. Tasty, authentic food, excellent staff (attentive, efficient but not overbearing), relaxed ambience... Just two points to note that prevented me from according top marks: 1) £8.90 for 2 Turkish coffees? A little excessive, perhaps? 2) Baklava tastes better served at room temperature rather than cold.

Stopped for a very quick bite to eat. Excellent location and very friendly staff! Dog friendly and made an effort to speak to my dog and fed him treats. Lovely friendly spot.

Fantastic little Turkish cafe with a great mix of Turkish favorites plus your Scots favs like breakfast rolls. But it’s the vibe and and coffee that keeps me coming back. Small, local cafe done perfectly well. This is the place to come for that calming early morning coffee. Recommended if you’re in Leith

Stopped for lunch after walking The Leith Water. I had the best wrap with hummus and roasted veg that I have ever eaten. Friendly staff, brilliant situation near the marina, great value for money.

I can’t believe we’ve stayed at the Shore for two and a half years and haven’t tried Truva until this weekend! It was really great! We were warmly welcomed, seated and served. I got a fry up and my partner got the poached eggs. Everything was really tasty and came nice and hot. Service was so friendly throughout. A must try!
