What a great wee place . Such friendly service , best bacon roll I have had in a while and great coffee . Open early and Dog friendly too .

We finished the last day of our 3-day holiday with an excellent Turkish breakfast. Thank you everyone, everything was great. We had our breakfast in a more pleasant atmosphere with the sincerity of sister Melahat.

Delicious food, perfect atmosphere! Service was wonderful, especially Melahat was very friendly and attentive.

Lovely little cafe in Leith serving delicious food. The coffee is pretty nice and well made. I had the aubergine shakshuka which was really excellent, lovely and rich food to start the day right. Friends had more English style breakfast food which looked to be tasty (although not veggie so didn't partake myself). Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Wonderful and authentic Turkish cafe, I would highly recommend their Simit as it's the best I've had outside of Turkey. Also a big shout out to Melahat for her incredible service.

Todo está fresco y la hornada casera es para morirse. El personal es muy amable y recomendaría a cualquiera que pase a pasar por algo de comer y un té / café.

My favourite cafe on the shore, friendly people and comprehensive and delicious Turkish inspired menu. Always welcoming to the dog, he expects us to go everytime we walk past whether it’s open or not! My favourite is the Turkish Breakfast, cannot be beat!

I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, he personally attended to us and it was truly wonderful treatment. The food was delicious and the atmosphere very pleasant.

Mel is the best! This is truly the best place to grab breakfast in Edinburgh and we are over experienced. I always get the Truva Royal. It’s so well balanced and every bite is deliciousness. Go in and enjoy it🌟🙏🏼🌟

Mel is an amazing person and is very lovely, knew how to make us feel at home. Been to Truva a couple of times now, it is one of the best places for a brunch in Edinburgh. Highly recommend

Lovely wee cafe. Very tasty bagel with smoked salmon and a fried egg with a lovely fresh side salad. The lady was very helpful and friendly. There are lots of cafes to choose from in this busy area but this one is definitely in the mix.

I love this place, It’s my favourite place to visit when I go Edinburgh. The food is amazing and their coffee is incredible, why can’t the big chains make coffee like this? The place is always relaxed and has a good atmosphere. Trying to find an excuse to get back up there as soon as possible.

Really friendly local business that cares a lot about their regulars with a great service to everyone that walks through the door. I had their lentil soup which had so much flavour and the Turkish Coffee was served in the traditional cezve which is hard to find in Edinburgh. Would definitely come back again!

We recently visited this cafe, and unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. The food was quite disappointing, especially considering the high prices. For instance, we were charged £4.75 for just a bit of scrambled egg, which had a strange smell—so much so that my baby refused to eat it. Additionally, £2.75 for two pieces of bread felt way too expensive for what we received. While the waiter was just okay, there was another man—likely the boss—who made the experience even less enjoyable. He was overly talkative and came off as somewhat rude, which detracted from our visit. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place, as the quality of both the food and service was disappointing for the cost.

First day in Edinburgh, I went out for Turkish coffee in the morning and just fell in love with this place, so I brought my friends for brunch later and we ended up going 4 times in 3 days. The food, drinks, and people are all so great!

We were staying at Leith and some locals told us about Cafè Truva for the best coffee around. We had our coffee for takeaway and was pleasantly surprise the we only had to pay £1 for a cup as it was their 26th Anniversary! The staff were lovely and the interior decor was sooo nice, I felt like I could stay there all morning. Coffee was amazing and will definitely pick one up again tomorrow

My partner and I visited for brunch. We thought everything was excellent. The service and atmosphere was perfect for a mid-morning experience. There seemed to be a few happy regaurls there too. We had the Turkish breakfast and the Turkish Meze, both of which were really really good. We'll definitely be back again soon to try some other items on the menu.

Unauthentic food, if I was served Lidl Hummus I’d’ve been happier. Their Hummus is dreadful to say the least. Man the whole meze plate tasted like it came straight from a prison🤢. To top it off, when it came time to pay, the owner rudely asked, "Don’t you want to leave a tip since we don’t charge a service fee?" right in front of my friends. How unprofessional, tacky and cheap can you get?

This small Turkish eatery and coffee shop offered great coffee and one of the best chicken and avocado salads I've had. The server was quite helpful, too. Isat, ate, read my book and relaxed.

We had a wonderful time in Café Truva last week. Didn't plan to eat somerhing but had bagel which was delicious. Owner and staff were very friendly. Will recommend Café Truva to anybody!

Great atmosphere. Service was good, waiter was pleasant and friendly. Food looks amazing and there is defiantly more care and attention when came to the Turkish dishes, which to be expected. Though the English breakfast was underwhelming, small portion size with only one piece of the standard ingrediencies e.g. bacon, sausages, hash browns. I usually expect two pieces for some of these. So, I recommend only ordering the Turkish dishes.

had Turkish bagel and flat white here. all is okay. toilet was clean as well. server was attentive. tbh, i was trying to have breakfast at Toast a place just a few minutes walk from here but it was bustling and had a Q i cant stand. went to Truva as at time they had some seats available. had not regret a lil bit at all. stay for a chat with my friend for a while. overall, worth visiting

Melahat is absolutely wonderful and the homemade breakfast is really lovely! Everything tastes super fresh (especially the cigar borek !!) The location is perfect just by the water at the shore. There is also free WiFi. We recommend everyone to come here for their stay in Edinburgh!

The Baklava was delicious. So very tasty. And I had an excellent Latte to go with it. Very pleasant place. It's right on the Shore, so has the Water of Leith at its front door.

Everyone was very friendly. It's a complete family environment. Breakfasts are very tasty.

Great coffee, roasted on premises. Lovely fruit scone. Very friendly and welcoming service. Good view out on the Water of Leith. The Turkish menu looks and smells great and they do offer Gluten Free options on request.

We ordered Turkish Brunch bagel and Truva Royale. The food was great and the staff were so kind that we felt like ourselves at home. If you are into Turkish cuisine, you should try Cafe Truva.

BEST CAFE EVER! The Bayraktar family went above and beyond. The food, the service and the drinks were wonderful. Definitely a must visit in Edinburgh. Made the journey from Newcastle to Edinburgh all that more worth while. Stay amazing :))

Don’t go here waste of the time and your money rude owner

Two days ago, my wife and I had breakfast here. Unfortunately, we did not like the breakfast and we were disturbed by the fact that the employee did not greet us with a smile. He gave us two small breads for breakfast for two people and when I asked for more, he immediately added it to the account. We go to have breakfast every week in London. This morning, their menu is richer and the prices are more affordable. We went to another place that serves Turkish breakfast. We really liked their welcome and friendliness. Please be more friendly to people. At least saying "hello, where are you from, where did you come from?" can make people happy, bye bye.

Popped in for a coffee this morning. Just excellent. Beautiful coffee, beautiful coffee machine, and they toast their own beans every week. I'll be back tomorrow morning.
