First visit to DINE Craiglockhart but it won’t be the last. Service was warm, welcoming and attentive throughout. Food and drinks were faultless! Water served routinely and prompt drinks served with a smile. Bread and olives…….Starters of Ham Hock; soups of the day. Mains of Angus Sirloin; Angus Ribeye; Braised ox cheek. The kids got stuck into the excellent junior menu. Desserts were also noteworthy. Creme Brulee and artisan ice creams all round. Faultless. Everything cooked to perfection. On the drinks front - great wine and cocktail selection. We enjoyed well shaken aperitifs and an excellent bottle of superior quality Prosecco…. an equally superior Valpolicella followed with the steaks. Finished with brandies, Baileys (in chilled glass - the minor details matter) and then coffees. Incredible. The decor and ambience creates a warm, inviting setting for the food that follows. If you’ve not been before, we can’t recommend this gem highly enough and hope the locality continues to support the restaurant. Almost worth moving to the area with this on your doorstep ! All at DINE Craiglockhart must be very proud of what’s being delivered here. Neighbourhood dining at its finest…..

Lovely little cafe, with friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of food. It was a perfect place to meet friends from Rome and the Netherlands. Our group ordered a wide variety of choices from the menu including the soup, Scottish breakfast, scrambled eggs and salmon, smoothies, waffles, carrot cake and tea - all delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the owl cushions very comfy. You could miss it walking by, but well worth searching it out and popping in. It extends a way back - a bit of a tardis for seating.

Food, cakes and drinks with a Polish twist. It is nice to support a local independent business. Everything is made to a high standard. The couple who run it are lovely and they have created a nice ambiance. I took two cakes home they were so delicious.

Friendly staff, BYOB, and the best Dumplings I've tasted outside of Poland. Would recommend a lot, so fresh and delicious

I was looking for a birthday cake for my brother. I wanted something which would not only look amazing but also taste great. Kalina provided outstanding customer service. She answered all my questions, she was very open to what I wanted and came up with some ideas too. It was a pleasure to meet her in person as Kalina is very friendly and warm person. The cake she made for my brother was exceptional! Fresh,full of rich flavour and not too sweet. Very tasty!

Me encanta este lugar. Todo vegetariano / vegano y una amplia selección de sándwiches fríos y calientes, además de ensaladas y sabrosas delicias dulces. ¡Pruebe el ‘Festival’ que está cambiando la vida! También el Rock and Roll lleva un sarni de salchicha a otro nivel. Además, las barras de Nanaimo (lo siento si esta no es la ortografía correcta) son espectacularmente buenas. Añadido bono de que los propietarios son personas encantadoras y tan amables. Bien vale la pena un viaje a Portobello, tomar su banquete a la playa o hay un pequeño sentarse en la zona. Vete ahora, no te decepcionarás, te lo prometo.

Fantástico almuerzo, deliciosa comida, buen ambiente y servicio amable. El vegano estaba TAN feliz de tener tantas grandes opciones. Todo lo que pedimos estaba muy bien presentado y tenía un sabor maravilloso. Es un lugar pequeño, pero conseguimos una mesa fácilmente (almuerzo entre semana, antes de que las escuelas terminaran). Varias personas vinieron a recoger pedidos de comida para llevar mientras estábamos allí. El único problema con El Zorro Astuto es que está demasiado lejos de mi casa, así que no puedo convertirme en un habitual... si fuera local, comería aquí todo el tiempo.

Great place for a coffee and a sandwich or cake. This café was an unlikely find first time round and well worth a second visit. The Portuguese 'pastel de nata' are the genuine homemade article and out of this world. There is a large fridge with a range of tempting cakes and desserts. The menu also features soup, baked potatoes and breakfast items. As the café is within a modern community centre accessibility for folks with mobility issues or parents with young children is very good. Table service.

Ist time eating at the Commercial for Lunch but it won't be the last. Great tasting food and excellent friendly service. Lovely wee place, would highly recommend

How this is not a Michelin star restaurant let alone Michelin guide is beyond me. Iv eaten in a few Michelin stars that could take a few lessons from this place and its incredible value. No other restaurant setting like it really One of a kind. People may try and replicate it but what they won’t have is Sean at the pass.

Very happy vegan girl here 🥰 the vegan cheese board is delicious and absolutely worth trying! The environment is cozy and welcoming and the service is great too.

This place is an absolute gem. During the day there is also a beautiful view to enjoy Food is simply delicious and the service is 5+. I would be definitely back.

Visited for my mums 88th birthday and the staff were so accommodating as my mum is in a wheelchair and has dementia. The food was tasty and again the staff made a special effort for my mums disabilities. The overall atmosphere was lovely and very reasonably priced for all we had. Thank you so much.

A great time! Go there with your eyes closed, the addition is also a good surprise given the quality!!
