Friendly staff, BYOB, and the best Dumplings I've tasted outside of Poland. Would recommend a lot, so fresh and delicious

Best Pierogi I've had. Very simple fare but super tasty. It was near our hotel and we chanced upon it. The Russian pierogi and Haggis are my recommendations. Staff was friendly and happy to explain the menu to us. Worth a try!

The staff were super friendly and welcoming. I loved seeing them interact with fellow Polish customers - it made the experience feel even more homely. I love the simplicity of the food - it lets the flavours speak for themselves. It's always disappointing when you get full as there's always more to taste! We were happy with our meals.

So fresh and tasty. Dough holds all the filling together yet is tender. Tried the Russian dumplings and the pork. Both very good. Recommend. Eat in or take away. Cash only. 10 pounds for 10. Next time will byob for small charge!

I got this random tip from a Polish girl working at the hotel i was staying at. Since my mom is Polish I wanted to try this place out. I was very satisfied, they tasted just like homemade and I highly recommend this place! Nice staff and simple but cosy location.

Edynburg to bez wątpienia miasto niespodzianek. Podjęliśmy wyzwanie i weszliśmy zweryfikować to marketingowe hasło lokalu. Z jednej strony ja, fan pierogów, z drugiej strony pewny siebie i swoich pierogów szef kuchni. No i stało się Babciu kochana.

Me and two friends fell in love with Pierogis ever since we visited Warsaw last November. So we were really happy to hear that there was a dumpling place in Edinburgh so we all decided to go for lunch. I can't even describe how good the dumplings were. I had the traditional ones because they are my favourite whereas my friends got ones with spinach and feta. Very delicious, so worth it. We also had lentil soup for starters, very good as well. The male chef was also very nice and friendly, the only thing I didn't like was the fact that our waitress brought our bill and placed in on the table before we even finished eating. Very rude, felt as if I was being kicked out and rushed. Other than that I would definitely revisit!!

Lovely little cafe, with friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of food. It was a perfect place to meet friends from Rome and the Netherlands. Our group ordered a wide variety of choices from the menu including the soup, Scottish breakfast, scrambled eggs and salmon, smoothies, waffles, carrot cake and tea - all delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the owl cushions very comfy. You could miss it walking by, but well worth searching it out and popping in. It extends a way back - a bit of a tardis for seating.

Absolutely gorgeous place to visit. The coffee was incredible! Best I've had and reasonably priced considering the venue has a very up market vibe. Friendly staff too. Will definitely come back again for the food as it looked delicious.

We've been coming to our favourite Edinburgh place since it opened in 2015 and looking back I couldn't believe my only review of it was 7 years ago. Chef Sean continues to innovate and delight in equal measure, as is clear from the proliferation of 5* reviews - don't hesitate to ask anything about the food or the wine, he is rarely happier than when describing the provenance of the cheese or veal.. or the terroir of his new favourite wine... I rarely go for restaurant wine pairings but wouldn't hesitate to recommend the offerings here. You won't be disappointed by the quality, value or attention to detail! I've posted the current menu below - you'll get a copy in your goody-bag when you leave. And I can't leave without mentioning Keith - Sean's brother and head of music production at The Table. The place wouldn't be the same without you, Keith. Look forward to seeing you both again, soon! And next year is the 10th Anniversary! Can't wait for that..
