The reviews I’ve read about The Peat Inn on here confirm the adage “you can’t please everybody all of the time”. So, trust me when I say that if you seek an outstanding dining experience, this is the place to visit and here is why… 1. The staff are excellent. Very attentive, totally professional, light hearted and were a major part in making this a dining experience. 2. The premises layout, decor and ambience were perfect. It doesn’t have the feel of a stuffy Michelin star restaurant. It is relaxed, comfortable but with an air of quality. 3. The food. Obviously this is the reason we attended and we were not disappointed. I won’t go through our choices as there were 5 of us, but suffice to say we all loved the flavours, the presentation and quality of the produce. In conclusion, this was a thoroughly enjoyable lunch in the Peat Inn and we are already planning our return.

Lovely restaurant great views. The food was superb We had the tasting menu and the staff took time to tell us how each course was prepared. We stayed overnight and the breakfast was delicious too. Thanks to all the staff for a great experience

Highly recommended, friendly staff, consistent service and food. Good location. We had bruschetta with mushrooms, and mussels in thai green sauce, followed by steak sandwich with pepper sauce and chips, and fish and chips. All very tasty. 2 courses £17 and 3 for £20. They have other special offers too. Light and airy dining room.

I don’t usually review food but feel like I didn’t get my moneys worth. I ordered 2 x large hoagie wraps and they were perfect, two boys are stuffed and happy however I ordered a chicken kebab and the chicken was so thin I actually had mistaken it for Donner meat. It was lukewarm when it came which put me off as chicken has to be heated to at least 75-95 degrees to be safe to eat. Not sure if it was a busy day in kitchen or I just got the end of the kebab so it was thin but don’t think it’s fair to spend nearly 30 pounds on an order and my food isn’t hot enough and it’s barely chunks of chicken Requested a refund for the tikka.
