Nandos,St.andrews Fife in Fife

Having eaten at numerous Nando’s over the years, this sadly was a poor experience. Our food sat in the pass for about 10 minutes before being served, cold & disappointing. Mayonnaise had solidified or coagulated - inedible. Sadly didn’t deliver the much anticipated Nando’s experience we were expecting.

I liked this Nando’s restaurant. The ambience was cool. Food is same as any other of this chain but, the staff were cool. I would prefer go there once a week if, I start living in St Andrews.

Always have an amazing experience here, I have a gluten allergy and have never had another restaurant take it so seriously. Each time a staff member takes my order at the table and checks all ingredients beforehand. Makes for a really comforting experience, thank you!

It was a lovely experience, great food and a nice atmosphere.

The food was delicious and spicy, which we love. Although, service could have been more genuine with a smile. It felt like something was off.

Always busy but never really more than a 20 minute wait, they take your number and give you a time to come back, with a bar next door its easy!

I enjoyed my dinner, just what I needed

Nando's can always be replied upon to serve tasty chicken and fries and the St Andrews restaurant was no exception. Excellent, friendly service in a clean and tidy restaurant.

Staff was very nice and helpful. The food was also so amazing. It was my first time eating at this restaurant but I really enjoyed it and I would like to come back again and try the other menus.

As a loyal Nando's customer, I can genuinely say that Nando's St. Andrews is among the best-run Nando's restaurants I've ever encountered. The warmth of their hospitality truly stands out, and folks like Grant, whom I believe to be a manager, takes the time to walk you through the menu with such attention to detail. This not only makes it easier to cater to any dietary preferences but also boosts your confidence in your meal choices. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, especially if you're a chicken enthusiast

Excellent food and friendly staff

Food is always brilliant. Service is self service. No real atmosphere in these kind of restaurants.

We had a great time and had one of the best meals we have ever had at this Nandos. We had great service from David who helped us and made us feel like nothing was too much to ask. Will definitely be back as soon as we can and we highly recommend you go here.

Limited menu both food and drink. Overpriced basic food would be tasteless if it wasn't for availabile sauces .

It's Nando's so if you're familiar with their restaurants, you know what to expect. Their chicken is definitely tasty, so are their sides. Some gravy with the mash would be good. Prices are fair, especially for set meals.

It was my first time visiting the Nandos franchise in St.Andrews. When we arrived we saw that they had many free tables but all with uncollected dishes. The waiter took us to a table at the end and wanted us to sit next to a family with children, which I said no to, so he left us at a large round table in the middle. The table was dirty and sticky. I went to order at the bar and after 10 minutes the food arrived that left something to be desired for the price I had paid. The meat half cold and little quantity. The portion of potatoes cost me almost £4 and there were very few. The terrible experience so I will not visit this establishment again. Very expensive for what they offer and very bad service.

Ordered grilled chicken wrap with no salad or sauce and repeated that to the server, and yet I was still given a wrap with salad and sauce on it. Additionally the garlic bread was like concrete and impossible to bite through without hurting teeth, and the peri chips had the lightest dusting of peri on them. Really disappointing in comparison to Dundee and Glasgow stores.

By far the worst experience I've ever had at a Nandos. I order a butterfly burger with peri fries with garlic bread. The peri fried had the lightest sprinkle of peri on the chips to the point that I should have ordered regular chips and the garlic bread was so hard it wasn't edible. My partner ordered the grilled chicken wrap with no lettuce or sauce ie plain yet it came with all the standard items, her peri chips were also barley touch with peri salt and her garlic bread was even harder than mine. The staff were clearly rushing and not paying attention at all and not even 10 seconds after the food hits the table the waitress asks "how the food and can I take the menus" yet we haven't even touched the food. Also our main server was wandering around with our food not paying attention at all and came to our table twice with other people food even as our plates are sitting in front of us. Honestly so disappointed with this nandos

Cannot praise the staff enough! Above and beyond with genuine kindness and a friendly way of helping out and making a wee meal with my 81 yr old father much easier. Patient and attentive even with a very busy restaurant with not all so cheery customers. I have visited a few times in the last year, don’t live locally but know my father does appreciate how great they are as he pops in more regularly. Also lovely food - goes without saying - it was fresh, tasty and classic Nando’s. Tried a few places in St Andrews before but it’s the people here that make this place so welcoming and comfortable and that’s not always easy to find. Extra special thanks to Pheonix and Dave who were superstars and so sorry I wanted to leave a good tip without my father knowing (as he would been insulted) but couldn’t just tip with the card. Will bring cash next time but maybe make this possible too? Thanks again 😀👍

As always Nando’s never fails to deliver. 4 mains and sides ordered for collection. Sitting waiting in the warm cabinet when I arrived. A modern and impressing restaurant for the young people. If you like to eat different meals than Burgers and wants to have a new experience in getting real good chicken meals - so come here and check the interesting menu. If you're a younger person you would prefer to make your order with your mobile. If you're more often here, you shurely will have also installed the Nando's App. But fortunately it is also possible to place the order at the counter. There you also get more information and help. For most dishes you can additional select, how spicy it should be, and you may get the meal pure or with several side dishes. And i suggest to drink the bottomless drinks like Cola - you may (re)fill your glass as often you like for a good prize. The meals will reach you fast and they really taste delicious. You may add several sauces to fit it perfect to your taste. So, come in and try it - and i am sure, you will come back more often!

Great lunch (you always know what you're getting with a nandos). Attentive, friendly and welcoming staff. Ordered at the table and glasses arrived within minutes, food followed quickly after. I've been in this Nando's 2-3 times before, always a consistent level of experience/service. Comfy seats, bright airy space and a darker, more moody space, all in one place.

Great food, great staff, great atmosphere and reasonably priced. One of our party had allergies and the asst manager came and had a chat with us to ensure she wouldn't be affected! Love a cheeky Nandos x

The best Nando's we have ever been to. The food was amazing and piping hot, and the service was fantastic. Our host Grant was so polite and explained the allergy information very well, which was so helpful as I have quite a few allergies. He made the experience even better. Can't wait to come back.

It's always a pleasure to eat here . There are lots of new changes on the menu . And I found it to be a bit cheaper . Staff are very friendly and always on hand to help .

Staff are always so friendly and take the time to make sure the food is gluten-free! Wraps are not GF.

The food was fine, nothing great but not bad either. The wait was unnecessarily long however, I understand that they are a busy restaurant, but still the amount of time we had to wait, first for the waiter, then for the food, not that much fun.

By far the best nandos for miles, if not the best nandos I’ve ever been too (and I’ve been to a few) staff are amazing, Especially David the manager. He goes over and above with every visit, he’s polite and always makes us very welcome, his customer service is second to none. We drive 20 odd mile to visit St Andrews Nando’s as no other competes The food is always 1st class and so is the service. It’s not true when they say they are all the same. 5 ⭐️ every time.

We went to Nandos after a long time for evening snacks. Wonderful service by JOA .. Joa was very kind and polite..Joa gave us best recommendation for vegetarian food. We really liked the service. Really appreciate.

Always a pit stop while in standrews, the staff are always so friendly, food is incredibly fresh and perfect temperatures. Nandos can be a hit or a miss never had a bad meal! 10/10 Nandos Standrews!

Went in for my lunch today and have what I usually order.The service was excellant and also the food.The staff there are very helpful

Food was awful was in front off us 4 minutes after ordering! Half chicken was dry,my wrap hardly had any chicken in it. Place wasn't clean and staff behind the pass were more interested in having a chat than paying attention to the food.

Food was good, as always. Jasper was very friendly and made my nando’s experience truly incredible.

Nandos here is great. Our handsome server Jasper took good care of us. Will definitely come back. Enjoyed hearing about his modeling career.

Not all Nandos are the same. The one here in St Andrews is fantastic, the customer service is very good, and the food is to a high standard. Shout out to our host Kevin, who was very helpful and patient with us! Thank you Kevin 👍

Amazing! First time I'd ever been to Nandos, and I enjoyed it. One the staff joked that 'I'd be totally fine' when I said I was vegan, which made me Giggle. Staff were super friendly and upbeat. Food was delicious and I highly recommend the Nandos sauce with mixed herbs if you love spice. Super delicious.

Very well run location and quite consistant. Staff are friendly, the restaurant is organised, and the food is tasty.

This restaurant is usually goid. That's why I rated it a 5 star. This time it wasn't up to it wonderful standard. I normally order the chicken on the bone but this time I ordered the butterfly chicken breast. It was overcooked and dry. I ordered the rainbow coleslaw for the first time, it was also dry. The second side wss was mashed potatoes again very dry. I was all a disappoint. I know this is not the norm. I had this as a takeout which is not my norm. I'm hoping that this isn't the quality of the takeouts.

If you have been to Nando's then you won't find anything different here. Nothing special but enjoyable all the same.

First time I’ve ever been greeted by shown to a table with menus thrown down on the table so they skidded across the table and asked if I’ve been to Nandos before then when said yes told good then left to it. No welcome smile, nothing. Just a person who couldn’t be more disinterested to be in their work. Left without eating and told the person that they needed to raise their game with their greeting of guests and made sure the manager heard us say the only reason we were not staying was their attitude. It may not be Michelin but still expect a polite greeting and a smile and the menus to be placed on the table

Fantastic food, service was above and beyond. Manager Kev was extremely friendly and happy to chat throughout our visit. Will definitely be back and recommend. Something for everyone :)

Our order literally took 30 minutes, we went there at 2pm hoping service would be faster. We scoffed our food down in 10 minutes as was on a coach trip and had to catch it. Would not recommend if you don't have an hour to spare as service takes forever.

Hilarious…….they took our phone number and was supposed to text after 20 mins for a place, which I completely understand because Nando’s is generally busy. But after ONE hour there was no message and the person actually forgot! What’s the book for then to collect our numbers? 🙄

What more do you want from Nandos?!? Delicious chicken, chips are on point and the sauces are always delicious. This place can obviously get very busy with students but for the most part they pump food out. Yes, it can get a bit pricey, but I firmly believe Nandos is one of the few casual restaurants that consistently puts out quality food. Obviously go to moves here are the chicken and the chips, but pro tip is play around with their free sauces when you eat in and find your favorite combo. Also the garlic Pirinaise (no idea how to spell that) is delicious, so are the piri piri dusted fries.

Food was good. They were really good with helping with allergens for my friend. Friendly staff and good service.

We waited an hour for food because there was an issue with gas which is completely understandable but when food arrived it was cold. Staff were lovely, especially Rachel? She was very apologetic. Because we paid upfront nothing was dome to rectify the situation. Disappointing overall.

Chicken chain restaurant with copious seating and a large menu. My chicken was a bit dry.

Food was great service was hit and miss good with me not so good table next as her food cold as it had been on shelf waiting for a server to pick up but was left up there to go cold. She sent it back .

My family of four children and I go to Nandos a lot - all around the country. We were therefore really surprised to find both the food and service disappointing at this Nandos in St Andrews. We were welcomed quickly and shown to our table after a very short wait. I ordered straight away as we knew what we wanted. The starters took some time to arrive. The pitta bread was cold, and the hummus was too acidic to eat. It tasted off so we did not eat it. No one came to check how or food was, but we mentioned the issue to the waitress who cleared the table. The main meals were okay. The corn was soft - as if it had been boiled too long - and the peri chips were just chips. No one checked on us during the entire meal - as Nandos normally do. The earlier waitress did not return to let us know about the hummus. We finished the meal. As we were leaving, I saw the waitress and asked about the hummus. She fetched the manager who told me that no one else had complained today. We left.

Love Nandoes, however, feel that there is insufficient staff during peak times….. with a 20 minute wait although half the seats are empty. Sad as I absolutely love this place. Give me the franchise for Jordan pls!!!!!!

I had some really good food here. I'm still thinking about the Peri Peri chicken to this day. While it was on the small side for a chicken breast, it still tasted amazing. The service in the place was also good at the St Andrews location.

Excellent Nandos outlet in St Andrews. We were pleased to be able to get a table immediately. Friendly helpful staff. I was amazed how spacious the restaurant was judging from the size of the shop front. A good selection of food and drinks on the menu. We were promptly served and the food was hot and tasty. Wheelchair accessible and a disabled person toilet.

Nandos Nandos, burning bright, Your toilets clean, your staff polite, But what immortal hand or eye, Forgot to bring my halloumi? (*I think you'd ran out by the time I ordered? Waiting staff didn't tell me... Either way, mildly annoying. Otherwise excellent.)

Visited here a couple weeks ago although the young man serving us was lovely and very helpful I felt the prices for a chicken salad flat bread were expensive for what you got hardly any chicken a little salad wasn't worth the money

Much better than other Nandos I had been in clean and the staff were good. The thing is I find the menu very un interesting so no fault of the staff.

Struggled with the app, ended up having to order at counter...arent we supposed to be trying to stop people wandering around? 6 people in queue in front of us trying to order. Food eventually arrived...smallest chicken breast I've ever seen in my life on the driest ....well I don't know what it was...bread roll of some description. Poor quality of food. Not impressed at all. Honestly wished we had got chips out of chip shop and sat at the seafront. Not a good experience Nandos!

Authentic portuguese/African food! The chicken was delicious and very juicy. All the sauces are amazing. Definitely a different experience, the place is very well decorated, has an amazing atmosphere and great service.

Great chicken and service. However, I found the servings to be smaller than expected.

Great food as always and staff really pleasant but what got this place 5 stars was the way they are dealing with the latest covid restrictions. They have a 'virtual queue' where you scan into the q and they let you know when your table is ready. Meanwhile ypu can shop or whatever. Once in its full table service.

I was so impressed with how proactive the staff and manager were in understanding my nut allergy and explaining how they could accommodate my needs. I thoroughly enjoyed my tasty meal and it was served lovely and hot. The building is interesting and spacious for social distancing. We will be back!

Food was great, my grandson says it was the best food he ever ate!

They are pretty friendly and kind and Nando’s, and usually chicken is on point 👌🏻

We went in on a Monday afternoon around 4pm. It was extremely quiet, possibly only another couple dining. Place is warm and welcoming. We had a horseshoe shaped seating area. The seating could have been cleaner.... Bits of debris left.... But, this was a minor gripe. Plenty condiments to choose from, prompt and pleasant service. Ordering is done through q codes.... Luckily my teenage children were there to order...food was lovely. Fresh and hot and portions very good. We have a yearly visit to St Andrews and always treat ourselves to a Nandos. Reasonably priced too. Staff all very polite and pleasant too. A nice experience.

Cold, rubbery, tasteless pitta bread. Has put me off eating there again.
