We arrived today, three of us for lunch just after 12pm. The place was busy and we were informed by the lovely owner that she was a chef down so that the wait might be a little longer. No worries - we ordered 3 prawn sarnies with chips and it was super. Great value for money and the owner was working the room and doing an incredible job- even with a chef down she was smiley and nothing was an issue. It was a pleasure to watch a cafe being run so well… we will return.

Tucked away in the heart of the countryside, this pub is everything you’d hope for and more. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and charming, with a roaring fireplace, rustic wooden beams, and that unmistakable country pub character. It strikes the perfect balance between traditional and comfortable, with plenty of spots to relax over a pint or enjoy a leisurely meal. Speaking of which—the food was phenomenal. The menu is packed with hearty, home-cooked dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. We had the Sunday roast, and it was hands-down one of the best we’ve ever had: tender meat, crispy roast potatoes, fresh vegetables, and Yorkshire puddings the size of your head! The desserts were just as good—don’t miss the sticky toffee pudding. The drinks selection is excellent, with a rotating lineup of local ales, craft beers, and a great wine list. The staff are knowledgeable and always happy to recommend something to suit your taste. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this place is a must-visit. It’s the kind of pub you’ll keep coming back to—and bringing friends along each time. Truly a hidden treasure.

We can recommend going to Knightor for many reasons but especially the wine tasting we along with two friends had an amazing time and learnt a lot about wines and the wine making process, The wine of course is excellent but the day was made even better by our host Wayne whose knowledge of wine is excellent but more than that he has a fantastic way of explaining things, he is funny and genuinely a nice chap. If you haven’t tried Knightor for wine tasting then booking a slot is a must and ask for Wayne
