Tucked away in the lovely village of Beckington, Mes Amis looks appealing and welcoming, and this continues inside. The walls are lined with wine and products perfect to accompany the deli offering. We were welcomed with a warm friendly smile and an offer to explain the cakes and food available. Everything looked and sounded so tempting and delicious. A couple of sweet treats were ordered with two coffees (“nice strong black americano for me, please”). Being busy, our order arrived in good time considering Mes Amis was busy. The food was presented beautifully and was appealing, but my coffee was a pale brown in colour. The cinnamon bun did not taste fresh and we would have been surprised if it was baked that day, and my coffee was weak and lacked flavour or aroma. The staff were lovely, but there was no service check to bring any of this to their attention. The food looks amazing. The deli and cafe are beautiful too, but we were just left disappointed.

Have just learned that Sea Fever is now permanently closed. To say I am gutted is an understatement, we have been there many times and each meal was absolutely superb, it was our main reason for visiting Bude from Hertfordshire, we would stay 2 nights and eat there on both of them.

Booked this whilst on holiday in Christchurch for a few days. I saw the 5* reviews on TripAdvisor and I have to say that they are fully justified. There is plenty of parking nearby and easy to find. When you enter the restaurant it has a really nice ambience and the tables are arranged really well, I liked the decorative screens that separated tables so you don’t feel on top of other guests creating a more intimate experience. A massive plus for this restaurant is the tall female manager. When I visit a Thai restaurant I like to see Thai people serving and cooking the food, this wasn’t the case at Nusara but I have to say the female Manager was absolutely fantastic, her knowledge of the dishes, recommendations and great ability to look after guests in an incredibly amiable way was a real credit to the business. I also liked the way she coached and looked after the younger members of staff. We had a slight mishap with the order that one of the younger members of staff took but the manager handled it with such style and class it really wasn’t a problem. The food was really very tasty and I left feeling very satisfied and wishing we had a Nusara close to home 🤣. Portion sizes are very good, two of us had a starter each and three main dishes, on reflection two starters and two main dishes would have been enough. The price was really good/fair in my opinion for a quality meal in a great environment. The manager highlighted the service charge was not compulsory, I think this was done due to the minor order mixup but it really wasn’t a problem and I was more than happy to pay. In summary / fantastic food, great service, great ambience all at a fair price.

Lovely small intimate restaurant . Gorgeous decor and and subtle lighting. This is the second time we have eaten at Eight and both times the food was exquisite, beautifully presented and delicious. The staff are quietly efficient and attentive. We visit Bath often and Can’t wait to visit Eight again.

We ate here last night, whilst on holiday in Charlestown. Cosy fish restaurant. Great views if weather is kind to sit outside. We had the mackerel to start. I had I’d say the best fish chowder I’ve ever had. And my husband had a special of Mackerel. It’s not cheap, but the food is great, the fish is fresh so therefore I think it’s value for money. Very delicious.

Me and my two friends came across this lovely cafe whilst staying nearby in marazion, we are glad we tried it today as they are now shut for a few weeks. The lady was lovely and the cakes were really nice. The cauliflower cheese pies were amazing! I would definitely recommend!

This was our sixth visit and the food and service were spot on as they always are. We had beef and pork which were lovely, with the best roasties and veg around, followed by Martin's delicious pavlova. We don't get here often but last year we had our wedding reception here, we came back two days later to eat and then again on our first anniversary. I think that says it all.

Really nice independent cafe. Lovely atmosphere inside and seating out the front. The sweet cinnamon treat bagel was very tasty and my flat white was crafted really well (I'm pretty fussy when it comes to coffee). If you are looking for great coffee and food this place is definitely worth a visit.

We arrived for breakfast at 10.15 (they open at 9) as the first of 4 couples and were offered a table of 2. We explained we were being joined by friends and there would be 8 of us. They immediately said no as they “didn’t have enough chefs to cook for us”. We wouldn’t have minded had the whole place not been completely empty at the time. We went to the Inn for All Seasons just down the road and even though they were just finishing their breakfast service, we had a lovely welcome and great breakfast.
