The Loft Lounge & Bar in Mendip

I had the best night at the Loft . I had a meal with my family and then had a 50th birthday get together with close friends and family. It was the perfect venue for what I wanted I would highly recommend this venue and will certainly be going back for future celebrations 🍾

I chose to celebrate my birthday at the loft lounge in street Somerset. The venue is stunning and local to bus stops so was perfect for friends travelling by taxi or bus. Mark was fantastic. Fantastic on communication and Nothing was any problem. Mark is so accommodating and friendly. We will always use this venue now as its perfect for any occasion there are separate areas for different size parties. Good selection of drinks and bar service was quick. We had the best time during our baptism party event. Mark the owner has been sooo helpful from the day I started inquiring to the actual day of the event. I was very impressed on how Mark handled all my queries and requests. The venue is so beautiful and had such a massive impact on the event. Our guests were very happy with the interior decor of the place. Everyone also loved the buffets food served by Mark and his team. We love the the Loft ❤️❤️

The Loft hosted my daughters 21st birthday party. Mark and his team went above and beyond to make it such a wonderful evening. We would definitely recommend The Loft for any future events!

What can I say about the loft mark and his team, they are truly amazing we had our wedding here August bank holiday weekend and it was amazing. Mark and his team could not do enough for us and made our day even more special we had so many guests that have never been and were completely overwhelmed by its beauty. Visited on a Thursday night and had the burger and drink for £15. We were offered where we wanted to sit and led to our table. Order taken promptly. Food arrived quickly and for what we paid, was really nice and good value for money. The loft burger was perfectly cooked as was the chicken burger. Chips nice and hot too. The chap that waited on us was friendly and helpful and I was impressed when he told two grown women to take their feet off of the nice velour chairs! Restaurant/ bar area has lovely decor and it’s nice to go somewhere that the music isn’t too loud to eat to. All in all a nice visit and we will return.

We decided to try this restaurant, we love to eat out and we were really surprised by how good The Loft was. It was a Wednesday night, we weren't aware that they had a steak night for £20pp - steak and a bottle of wine (although we don't drink) so they offered us a soft drink instead. The waiter / manager was lovely and extremely welcoming. The steak was really good, as were the chips and veg. The restaurant itself is stunning. Highly recommend.

What can I say about the loft other than it being the perfect venue for our wedding reception. Mark the manager couldn’t have been more accommodating to our wants and needs and after several “planning” meetings the day finally arrived. Mark took care of everything on the day for us and liased with our various suppliers so we arrived at the venue stress free. The loft was decorated Amazing and all our guests thought so too. Mark and his team worked solidly all day and nothing was too much for us and our guests. The food was amazing and there was more than enough (which was a worry of mine after going to several weddings where the food ran out) I can honestly say the loft was one the best venues I have been to for a wedding and Mark is one of the best in the business.

Booked for meal and watching the England semi final in Euro 2024. Great seat and view of a huge screen. Attentive service. Steak night and at £20 a head for sirloin steak (with tasty chips, fresh veg and a sauce), and a bottle of red wine to share) was excellent value. Also had very tasty starter and delightful desserts. Highly recommend. Beautiful looking too.

Held my 50th birthday party here just after Christmas. The venue looked lovely, all decorated for Christmas still, the buffet food was tasty, staff were so friendly & helpful, and Mark the owner went out of his way from my 1st enquiry until the party ended, to ensure everything went smoothly and was to my satisfaction. Everyone who came has since commented on what a great night it was, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! An amazing, beautiful venue for any function, thank you Mark & team!

We held our works Christmas party here on Saturday 16th December for 36 people and everyone had a wonderful time at this great venue. The food was amazing and plentiful. The ordered meal was gluten free and often this can be awkward or disappointing when eating out. However the food here is incredible and everyone said how lovely it was. It was extra special, knowing that it was safe to relax and eat what was served. The waiting staff were super helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

Amazing venue for our organisations Christmas party. Extremely friendly and accommodating. The food was plentiful and gorgeous. I would thoroughly recommend this venue for events. We will definitely look forward to future visits @theloftloungeandbarstreet 😁👏🏻

Mark could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Great food - hot, delicious and generous portions. Staff were very efficient too. Disco after the meal was also great fun! Amazing party for our local running club last night! 40 of us had a wonderful 3 course dinner followed by dancing in this beautiful venue. We will definitely return for further parties. We were looked after from the moment we arrived! Everyone agreed the food was excellent and the DJ was the icing on the cake! 🙌🎉👌

We had a work reunion in the Loft on Friday 24th November, 40 ex Clarks employees and friends. The venue and service was simply Superb. Mark and his team were excellent, from the booking many months ago to the decor on the evening, and the standard of food was so good, nice and hot considering the large group. The venue itself is also superb, with a great private area upstairs, if only the Loft had of existed many years ago when we were regular visitors to Street. Thanks again Mark to you and your staff, keep up the great work!!

Recently held my 6 year olds birthday at The Loft. The best decision I've ever made. This place has everything and more. Mark is an absolute superstar. From start to finish, he met all our needs and went above and beyond. The venue is Stunning!! Such a lovely warm feeling as soon as we walked in. Can’t begin to say how amazing this venue is for a party. My granddaughter celebrated her 6th birthday here on Sunday and we genuinely had the very very best time ever! Mark is just brilliant! The Loft is the most beautiful venue to host a get together, party or works meal. It is by far the most stunning venue around these parts. We held a work gathering here last weekend and Mark and his team were so accommodating. The loft is stunning, and Marion’s loft is a gorgeous snug area for an intimate party for up to 50 people. Had wonderful cocktails all night and a great buffet of food for some nibbles. Nothing was too much trouble. Cannot wait to go back for dinner soon.

We regularly go to the loft, and I can't praise them enough. The welcome you get it always amazing. Mark and his team fantastic. The food is consistently amazing. Their steaks are fabulous and steak night is the best value for money you can get. If you have never been to the loft you are definitely missing out!

Nice safe, modern venue for drinks and entertainment with friends. Nice selection of drinks and nice food, the owner takes great pride in making sure everyone is happy.👍

We use this venue regularly as it is clean friendly and extremely well run. Food is excellent and Mark and his staff will do all they can to accommodate reasonable requests. In our view it is the best venue in the area for lunch or dinner or for private hire. They also have a very good vegan/vegetarian selection and an extensive bar selection with a cocktail menu also. In our view no other venue can compare in this area

We held our wedding reception at the Loft in August and it's was amazing! Mark understood us from the beginning and made the whole event so easy. He took so much stress off us both before and on the wedding day itself. All our guests throughly enjoyed the delicious food, music and great atmosphere. Our day was like a dream come true. Hidden Gem off the main/high street. Went on Burger night and enjoyed the hospitality from the moment with were greeted by a handshake and welcome on entering the bar area. Beautiful venue, fabulous food and such friendly service.

Hired the loft for my 50th party, great venue, as friends and family are local, Mark the manager is brilliant, as well as the staff. Venue is clean and tidy, decor is fab, drinks good price, food great, have also eaten a proper meal rather than buffet food, which was great as well…. All in all great place. Hidden gem needs to be used more, spread the word, Street is lacking a “good night out”
