A shambles, an organisational disaster - I get that the food and bar are different companies but this is so far from even acceptable customer service it’s laughable. That the lady taking the food order appeared at first nit to speak any English didn’t help. The bar staff were just stood around talking and laughing loudly the entire time we were there. The food was also so quickly rushed out to us that we had our starters and mains on our table in just over 5 minutes, we’d barely touched our starters. The sauces were water-thin and we were both ill during the night after having stomach cramps. The beer was fine, that’s the best thing I can say. Avoid!

We're so lucky to have The Griffin as our local. Good choice of beer, wine and delicious Thai food. Excellent friendly service too.

A great little pub with a nice atmosphere, went here on an open mic night so that was nice. Friendly staff and decent beers of which some are quite local. Nice amount of seating and a small garden bit at the back.

I love this pub for its varied choice of local craft beer and the Thai food is always awesome. However, to bring in a 4% IPA at £6.80 a pint is way over priced. It’s great to encourage newer breweries into your offerings but you should have a price cap. This is way over priced and is making your competition more viable. But the bar staff are amazing and I feel for their embarrassment in asking for the over priced beer

Any pub that allows people to sit sucking on a vape gets a one star from me. Thanks to the selfish person doing so Friday night it caused an allergic reaction in my partner and we had to leave. I’m sure in all other respects it's a lovely pub.

The food options are only available after 6pm.Which is a pity .The bar area was lively and a great atmosphere is good.Lots of regulars who are a friendly bunch..Watched Rugby here on BBC but its not a "Sports Bar " .Nice venue for families.

Spent a great NYE in the Griffin, will definitely visit again next visit to Frome

It's always been one of my favourite pubs. For a social pint, or to attend one of the many events, you can't beat this friendly local

4 adults made a pre-theatre visit , were made to feel welcome in the small busy bar, we were allocated a table on arrival having pre booked. The Craft ales were excellent and the basic white pinot went down well. The food was superb and importantly was served very promptly. Unfortunately we were in too much of a rush and next time will spend longer in this great venue. PS make sure you put selwood road as the address into your direction finder, Milk road is confusing!

We left after 10 minutes the service was very poor One of the staff shouted in my face "upstairs" When we were seated in a dark room upstairs We just sat there like lemons for 5 mins or so when a lady finally arrived with a menu slapped it on the table an left 😞 We just looked at eachother an did the same thing an left

Cajun chicken burger is amazing. Just enough spice and chicken very well cooked.

Great, really old historic pub with fabulous staff & amazing food.

Stopped fir a quick pint and burger with my mate. Lovely juicy burger and hot crispy fries washed down with a crisp cold pint of cider. 2 burgers, two fries a pint and coke for £30. Highly recommend this charming back street pub.

Has a good drink soleson and a nice garden to drink in and the best food ever

Love this pub! It’s where my love of real ale started. I’ve not lived in Frome for years, but I go back to The Griffin every time I visit, without fail.
