Found this ice cream parlour last year and had the banana and honeycomb ice cream, I could not believe how good it was , with the real taste of banana and no flavourings.Banana is my go to choice of flavours especially for milkshakes but it’s quite rare to find in an ice cream , so when we went back to bude ( sandymouth ) this year we made the hike out to widemouth for another ice cream I was so pleased to see the flag at the parlour flying as we rounded the corner, Again the ice cream did not disappoint Banana and honeycomb double scoop for me my wife had the salted caramel, both exceptionally good, I even had another double scoop for the walk back with one scoop being the new flavour of chocolate fudge brownie (I just had to try it and wow ). If your passing this place by car or on foot it’s definitely worth the stop. Top marks from us

The best ice cream we’ve ever had! We found this little gem last year when we walked from Sandymouth to Widemouth. So, this year we just had to revisit. It’s well worth the long trek! My husband is a fan of the banana (says it tastes like it’s made from real bananas) and hence he went back for another two scoops! This time he had a scoop of banana and a scoop of chocolate fudge brownie……which was rich, gooey and sooooo delicious! I had the salted caramel which was just as delicious. If you’re not fancying an ice cream then try an iced coffee. I had one last year and it was so good! Dog ice creams are also available (I’ve not tasted it 😁). We can’t wait to visit Gerry’s again……work our way through the menu

After hiking the SW Coastal Path from Widemouth Bay to Bude, and back again, we were pleased to stumble across "Gerry's Originals" and indulge in some of their delicious homemade ice cream. There are great flavours to choose from and two scoops are £3.50 in either a waffle cone or a tube. I had the banana and honeycomb and the Italian Cherry, both were amazing. They even do special ice cream for dogs and a whole range of other treats for their owners. Friendly owners and great service make Gerry's a place we hope to visit again soon. Highly recommended.

We had ice cream from ‘the hole in the wall’ at Porth Beach today. Honeycomb, white chocolate and raspberry and mint choc chip, they were all so delicious we went back for seconds. Thank you

Found this beach shack by chance. Wow, they do nut free vegan ice cream ( does contain coconut) and it was even tasty chocolate flavour !!

After a week in Cornwall searching for Nut safe ice creams for our peanut allergy daughter we found this amazing place. A fantastic selection of delicious home made ice creams that are completely nut safe. Not a but in sight. We will be visiting every day of the holiday. Great service and great tasting ice creams.

Fantastic ice creams, milkshakes and sundaes! Between our family we’ve tried eight of the flavours and each one is sensational My nine year old has declared the sundaes “the best he’s ever tasted, like EVER!”.(...and for grown-ups - try the gin & tonic sorbet!)It’s a must on a trip to Widemouth Bay!

We were recomended by friends to visit Gerry’s Ice Cream & Snack Bar in Widemouth Bay. We had the best Icecreams and hot snacks, try the pinnaple icecream its delicious. The staff is very friendly also. Rigth by the beach, couldn't ask for a better location. Very worth the visit.

Had a lovely Cornish icecream here and also they do dog icecream so our little Westie had his own which I think he enjoyed!

Walked the coastal path from Bude and used this place as our pit stop. Adults ordered lemon smoothie and blood orange smoothie and kids had a milkshake and ice cream. All enjoyed what we had. Service was quick and friendly and the view of the beach was lovely. Definitely worth a visit.

Gerry’s Ice Cream & Snack Bar Widemouth Bay is definitely worth a visit. Very friendly staff, great take away food, ice creams and drinks. Everything you need for a filling tasty snack on the beach. We return every year!!

Visited Gerry’s for the first time today , our food was yummy and was so impressed with my vegan bean pasty and mango sorbet. The proprietors are happy to chat and very very friendly . Will be back there again very soon!

My parents used to have a place in widemouth so I always came here. However now they have moved to Bude and I am willing to WALK from Bude to widemouth just to get their ice cream. I would recommend the chocolate orange, chocolate and fudge, rum and raisin, honeycomb..... (and all!!!) Much better than the beach cafe and the snacks always look scrumptious aswell.

The Sweet Potato & Gouda Cornish pasties are the nicest tasting pasties of our whole trip. The are warm and not soggy or dry. The staff are so friendly and helpful.....the view abs the beach for swimming and surfing excellent.

Delicious ice-cream, made locally and friendly service. So nice we’ve been back several times on our holiday & have gone out of our way to visit! Highly recommended.

We discovered Gerry’s Ice cream shack last year when we walked onto the beach from the SWCP. We had the best iced coffee ever. It was so good we went back especially to have another last week even although it wasn’t a particularly hot day. PS their pasties are the bet too!

Walk by here most days with my dog however I have never actually tried any of the snacks on offer until this Sunday. My husband & I decided to have an ice cream to refresh us after sitting in the sun for a couple of hours. WOW.....I cannot believe I have not tried before. I had a 2 scoop Black Cherry and straight chocolate, husband went for a honeycomb with a caramel. The black cherry was the most amazing flavour and I even went as far to say it beat the one I had in Sardinia years ago which was up to then my ultimate ice cream!! Even better this beach snack bar make there own ice cream so no foreign imports all served with a smile & friendly chat by the owners & creators in the best location!!

We visited Gerry’s Originals Ice cream & Snacks this afternoon and were the first to try their new Black Forest Gateaux ice cream sundae. It was delicious!!! The staff were really friendly too. This is a place you must visit if you are in the area! Lots of options on the menu and a lovely outdoor seating area with fantastic views across the beach

I had the Italian cherry ice cream whilst hubby had the chocolate orange ice cream. The cones were lovely and crisp and the ice cream flavours were beautifully intense. Would definitely recommend - and the snacks on offer looked good too!

A visit to Bude is incomplete without a visit to Gerry’s icecream bar. My personal favourite is the Italian cherry icecream (by far the best cherry icecream I’ve had) and combined with Chocolate fudge brownie and indulgent chocolate ...reminds one of a black forest cake experience. Based out of an unassuming simple and traditional shack the couple who run Gerry’s, quietly create experimental and hip flavours.. some really unique such as pineapple and ginger, banana and honeycomb. Partly hidden gem, Gerry’s Original ice cream and snack bar, at one end of Widemouth beach is great. After a bit of rock-pooling we headed up for refreshment and their own sorbets and ice cream were fantastic. My husband said the Italian Cherry was the nicest ice cream he’d had in years. Definitely worth a visit. Ditch the brands and go for Gerry’s!!

Located at the far end of this amazing beach is Gerry’s Originals. They serve amazing ice cream that they make themselves in lots of interesting flavours, serve great coffee, and most important to us sell the best vegetarian pasties in Cornwall. I’m sure their meat ones are just as good

Nice for a visit after the beach, top ice cream and very friendly. You could stay all evening and see the sun set.

We had an ice cream sundae and a single scoop cone ice cream. I chose the chocolate Orange ice cream and it was delicious. Tasted of proper Orange. The sundae had 3 scoops of ice cream which my son devoured and said was lovely. Our friends had a sundae and a sausage roll which looked and smelt delicious. Would recommend a visit if you're at the beach.

Wonderful place to go if you are spending the day at the beach.Open rain or shine great selection of ice cream, Cornish pasties, sausage rolls and much more.Very friendly staff 5 star treatment everytime very reasonably priced.Also have a loyalty card system which you get stamped every time you go and after 12 items are purchased you get something for free,so if like us you are on the beach for 3 weeks it's well worth it. Welcome find in the corner of Widemouth Bay for every day treats. Ticked off the menu of ice creams (great selection) milkshakes (excellent) and pasties. Cheaper and friendlier option to the overly busy Widemouth Cafe at the back of the beach.

There’s no doubt about it it’s definitely the best ice cream in Cornwall !! The service is very friendly and it’s highly recommended. If you are in widemouth you have to go ! P.S the chocolate ice cream is amazing !

We called in after a day on Widemouth beach. The ice creams were amazing and my children loved the milkshakes.

Located on the edge of the beach and backing onto the sand dunes. The four of us loved our ‘posh’ pastries and your milkshakes are the best ever!! Topped off by a fantastic G&T; sorbet. A definite must visit if your in the Widemouth area.

We visited Gerrys on a very hot day for an ice cream and it was the best ice cream of our holiday! Delicious flavours and very creamy. A great place to stop in from the beach or the South West Coast Path.

Located absolutely on the coast path, this place is a must-do for anyone on the SouthWest Coastpath trek! Put it on your itinerary to arrive on Salthouse Beach, Widemouth at lunchtime! The pasties are tasty and hot, the coffee is good. Unfortunately it is a too far from the beach to be convenient for those who have come to the beach for the day - small children have trouble walking that far over the sand. There are inventive, bright coloured pallet seats, that allow you to gaze at the beach and the surf. Unfortunately the benches with tables have sunk into the sand through the winter storms and need digging out - they are very uncomfortable and the coffee leans at a precarious angle!. Some of the service needs thinking through - for example, paper plates would be a good idea - children cannot eat out of paper bags, and food gets put down on the very un-clean tables.

If you are walking along the South West Coast Path and find yourself in Widemouth Bay, drop down on to the beach and treat yourself to an ice cream. Great range of delicious flavours, friendly staff and the view of the waves breaking is fabulous.

This is a very special find! The service, coffee's, food and ice creams are all first class. One to try is the waffles "there amazing!"

Visited Gerry’s for ice cream whilst spending some time in Widemouth Bay. Without a doubt the best ice cream I’ve ever had - have the chocolate orange you won’t be disappointed!

We stayed at the beach house B&B; for a night and both days visited Gerry’s. I had ice cream both days which was delicious and indulgent. My husband had an ice cream, and a pasty on the second day, which he loved! We found the service very friendly and we liked being able to sit on one of the many benches and enjoy the view. We will be back.

You can't beat a good ice cream and this is marvellous, lots of varieties, made by the man who served me. I preferred the coffee here to the café nearby. Right on the beach and the friendliest of staff.

We enjoyed the vanilla and the Italian cherry ice cream. Both were tasty and sitting in the sunshine, enjoying the view was so lovely.

Gerry makes truly amazing artisan ice cream. We tried her 2 new flavours developed over this winter; Chocolate caramel fudge brownie & Bananna honeycomb. It might be grey and damp outside but get stuck into her Icecreams and enjoy a little summer!

Very delicious home made ice creams, raspberry and white chocolate is my fave. Hot fresh waffles as well.A great alternative to the often very busy cafe in the car park. Worth a visit for beach treats after an hour or two with the kids at the rock pools.

We stayed in Widemouth for 10 days with 3 of our grandchildren and visited Gerrys most days. They have homemade ice cream and it's delicious. During our stay we tried most of the flavours and they are all fantastic. On our last day the boys had the trippletastic and as you can see they loved it. If in Widemouth Gerry's is a must visit, enjoy.

We had visited Widemouth Bay a few times and did not know this place existed until one morning a lady was walking along the beach handing out loyalty cards. It is down the end of the beach (to the right of the stairs from the RNLI hut). We ordered waffles on a stick £2.95 each but all cooked to order with a choice of sauce. Absolutely delicious if not a little messy. Would definitely recommend and return to.

Tucked away at the end of the sand dunes and car park you'll find Gerry's. A fine selection of hot and cold foods and drinks just perfect for the beach. A great selection of ice cream flavours and best of all look out for the waffles on sticks. A Widemouth Mess of waffle, sauce and 3 ice cream scoops is naughty but nice. Prices are very reasonable. If you're on the beach look out for their teardrop banners.

Great local icecream at a reasonable price, on a wonderful beach. Nicer place to relax and watch the surfers.

A little shack in the corner of widemouth bay selling the best ice cream! The owners make the ice cream themselves and have a wide selection of flavours, our favourites were raspberry and white choc, honeycomb, choc Oreo and blackberry crumble. Didn't have enough time to test the baileys, choc orange or mint choc chip!

Amazing sorbets, ice creams, waffles ... which can be ordered separately or as one big Widemouth Mess. My son has a sweet tooth and said this was by a long shot the best pudding or sweet treat he's ever had (and there has been much competition in his ice cream filled 13yrs)!

I love ice cream and love Cornwall. Have to say this is the best ice cream I've eaten around here. Very friendly. A bit of a walk to get to but truly worth it. Go rock pooling and take a walk after to Gerry's. All delicious.

Right on the beach, tucked away at the quieter end of Widemouth bay, in front of beach House hotel, might be missed if you don't wander along east from the main car park ( where the beachside cafe is). Ice cream is delicious, and a variety of other little snacks, hot waffles and drinks are available with converted pallets to sit on . A bit more sheltered here too if it's windy. Owners/staff are very friendly and pleased to serve you and chat.

Well worth finding - behind the Beach House Hotel and accessible from the beach - a very popular destination for all of our family (and dog). Ice cream and sorbet selection is mouth watering and delicious, Looking forward to the next visit.
