If 21 was a ship, and it relied on reviews, it would have sunk under the weight of stars years ago. Nobody does food this good in Newcastle, and everyone who knows... Knows. Try the others, they might be alright, but they won't be 21,.. and while you're trying the others,.. I'll get my table at 21. Thank you x

Six of us had a three course lunch and everyone enjoyed it Food and service first rate. Gluten free options were great too.

Went for morning tea as we had not tried them before. Followed a man with a dog otherwise place empty. As we entered the lady behind servery said no breakfasts this morning as I am the only one here. We just wanted espresso coffee and a cake. However, the cake selection was poor. Chose one cheese and one fruit scone plus the 2 coffees. Took quite a while to get the order. The cheese scone was cold and the coffee was not great. Definitely not worth the £14.80 charged.

I booked a dinner party for 15 friends. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and helped me with the pre orders beforehand. The service was fantastic and all went smoothly. The food was delicious and everyone said they had really enjoyed their meals and would be back again. Thank you again for your outstanding food and service with a smile. The best place in Guisborough to eat by far. 🙌

We were really impressed with this place and would recommend, found the staff friendly, the atmosphere and decor of the restaurant was cute and authentic, and mainly the food was great and reasonably priced.

Lovely atmosphere, the food is reasonably priced and you yet lunch deals, the only problem is that the coffee included in a lunch deal is instant, and for a ground coffee or latte you would need to pay extra. Also the breakfasts are lovely, small size was just right for me.

Great welcome when we arrived. Think its the best fish and chips i ever had at a very reasonable price. Locals all friendly and happy to chat and spoil your dogs. Breakfast equally good. Very happy to recommend and will definitely return

Visited for Sunday lunch and was massively impressed. It’s a lovely pub, traditionally decorated, they even have a real fire, which was nice and cosy on a chilly winters day. We had to wait a while for our food to be served as we arrived later in the afternoon and they advised it had a been an incredibly busy day. The staff were so apologetic and even arranged a free round of drinks, which was a nice touch. The food was absolutely worth the wait! My lamb shank roast was unreal, the meat was really well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I also ordered a side of cauliflower cheese which basically could have been a main meal the portion was that huge. It was delightful, so cheesy and creamy, a total highlight for me. The staff were all super friendly and really made sure we were looked after. I can’t wait to come back and try their main weekday menu.

We recently stayed here for a family party at The Ship opposite. The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We had the garden view room which had a comfortable bed my rating would have been 5 if the bathroom was better and due to the lack of parking but I understand the rooms are being renovated this year so it will be interesting to see what improvements are made. The restaurant was really good for breakfast fresh ingredients and fab coffee

There were 19 of us booked in for a meal. They gave us a room to ourselves. We had pre-ordered our food so we had no waiting to be served. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and polite and the price was reasonable. All in all a very good experience. Highly recommend it
