Restaurante situado a una calle de distancia del famoso muelle de Newcastle en los jardines de trinidad, una zona de desarrollo moderno. Elegante comedor con un servicio muy profesional y atento. Menú degustación, así como un excelente menú entre semana de 3 platos en el momento de la visita. Las ostras Lindisfarne eran súper frescas y zingy. Todas las entradas probadas fueron deliciosas, incluyendo una sopa de capuchino de setas y espárragos, plato de remolacha batida y un salmón ahumado en grulla. La panza de cerdo principal con lentejas fue la estrella. Excelente carta de vinos que cubre un gran rango de precios. En general, una excelente experiencia gastronómica en Newcastle. Muy recomendable.

Cappuccino to write home about. Hot, but not that hot it can not be pleasantly drunk. Staff very friendly. Has now become a regular stop off point when down that way. Food excellent.

Mi esposa y yo estábamos visitando a mi tío y tía en Yorkshire del Norte que nos trajeron aquí para una noche de fiesta. Tuvimos una comida encantadora servida junto con un buen vino. Crédito especial al chef por cocinar mi filete "bien hecho". Debe ir en contra de todo su entrenamiento, pero es justo como me gusta. Recomendaría a los amigos si están en el área local.

This is a second review. My first one is below, We went here again midweek and mid afternoon, around 3.30pm ish. The food was amazingly good and the staff just as friendly. The restaurant and toilets are spotlessly clean. The food is all made on site by their chef. It's not mass-produced, generic rubbish but authentic handmade dishes. The portion sizes are just right, not too big or small. The prices were great too. We had the afternoon special of three courses with sparkling water and it was under £20 per person. We were the only people in for most of our meal. Here's my first review from a few moths ago: My wife and I went here three weeks ago. I've been meaning to leave a review, but time has been against me. We arrived early on a Saturday evening, soon after opening so before the big Saturday night rush. I can highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were friendly, joyful, entertaining, and helpful. The food was delicious and served quickly. It makes a refreshing change to eat somewhere the staff are genuinely interested in serving and not just working robotically to a script. 10 stars from me. Fabulous.

Slightly nervous in case it didn’t live up to expectations - especially after seeing a recent review - but on this repeat visit I was relieved and delighted to find that the menu was as extensive and inventive as ever, the taste and presentation of the dishes excellent and the value for money exceptional - as always. My favourite restaurant in the area!

Lovely atmosphere, the food is reasonably priced and you yet lunch deals, the only problem is that the coffee included in a lunch deal is instant, and for a ground coffee or latte you would need to pay extra. Also the breakfasts are lovely, small size was just right for me.

Just heard that Vinny’s which was the fantastic Italian pop up at Patricia is no more! Gutted as it was one of the best Italian restaurants out there! Visited multiple times and always had great meals! I hope whatever they’ve got planned is just as good!

Great welcome when we arrived. Think its the best fish and chips i ever had at a very reasonable price. Locals all friendly and happy to chat and spoil your dogs. Breakfast equally good. Very happy to recommend and will definitely return

Called on a quiet Tuesday lunchtime, not a soul in, but a friendly barman and a friendly dog. A nice glass of wine and fab fish and chips. Thank you.

We have been customers of Bistro en Glacé for many years, long before the current owners took over the restaurant. We visit 3/4 times year spending approximately £150 every time. The food has always been good until our most recent visit when we experienced an issue that should have dealt with in a much more professional manner. We were not upset about the fault re one of the main courses as everyone makes mistake in their own occupation, that happens, but for me you judge the true values of a business by how the handle negative circumstances and in this instance Bistro en Glacé failed miserably. Our son ordered his usual, steak with peppercorn sauce, which he’s had several times previously at this restaurant. After pouring the sauce over the meat and fries he took a mouthful of food and commented that the sauce was not right. My wife and I tasted it and it was clearly wrong, it tasted and smelt cheesy as if the cream used was off. It was truly awful. I commented to the waiter and he went to the kitchen. We naturally expected that a replacement would be provided, that would have been a normal response. Instead after several minutes the lady that we assume to be the owner came to our table and said that she, the chef and waiter had tasted the sauce and it was exactly as they make it and turned away. That was patently not true as my son had eaten the peppercorn sauce on previous occasions and it had been nice. At this stage, I was understandably disgruntled and ready to tough it out but my wife and son do not like it when disagreements occur so for that reason I very reluctantly held my tongue. My son eat the very few mouthfuls of fries and steak that were not covered with sauce. Later that evening we received an automated text message from the restaurant requesting review. It was negative, explaining why as I have in this review and invited them to respond. Had they reflected and realised they had failed in the first rule of commerce “Customer is King” and apologised we would most likely have put the experience behind us but they did not respond it just reaffirmed their only priority was monetary and not customer satisfaction. For that reason I decided to post this review to make others aware of our experience that could so easily have been avoided at minimal cost to them , their cost of a steak and a few potatoes, £10 at most for which they charge over £30. Instead they will lose over £450 of our custom annually as we shall never again set foot in the premises.

There were 19 of us booked in for a meal. They gave us a room to ourselves. We had pre-ordered our food so we had no waiting to be served. The food was excellent, the staff were friendly and polite and the price was reasonable. All in all a very good experience. Highly recommend it
