Very salty garlic mushrooms. Rice looked like it had tinned vegetables mixed in. Disappointed unfortunately. Wouldn't return.

A really lovely little restaurant, the food is absolutely delicious and filled with flavour. I had the Iskender chicken which was so tender. The sides were also yummy, and the waiting staff were attentive and polite. We will definitely be back soon 🤗

Fantastic meal here while visiting Morpeth. 5* service. The guys were friendly, professional and quick with service. Food was absolutely delicious. Couldn’t fault a thing! Would 100% return if ever back visiting Morpeth.

Fantastic food, Fantastic staff, very friendly

First visit to this little place in Morpeth. Quite quaint inside but spotlessly clean, the place was busy with a nice friendly atmosphere. Food: to be honest everything we had was top class, freshly prepared and absolutely full of flavour, a real delight. The service was excellent: helpful but not overbearing, friendly and the staff seemed genuinely pleased to see their guests. I would recommend a visit, we can’t wait to go back.

Ordered a starter and a mixed grill. Food was very tasty no doubt about that but the portion size was small compared to previous mixed grills I've had. Also didn't come served with pita bread. I think a bit more meat and pita bread on the plate would not of left me hungry after finishing, especially for the price.

First time my wife and I had been to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. Apparently the new owners only took over 6 months ago. All the staff were really friendly and attentive. The food was great, not too big in portion size but good quality. Place was buzzing when we went, which was encouraging for 8pm on a Wednesday. Very authentic Turkish experience even down to the owner's passion for supporting Galatasary! Will definitely go back and would recommend if you're a fan of Turkey and Turkish food.

Decent enough Turkish restaurant. Lunch special portions a little on the small side, but decent enough quality.

It must have been taken over as this was so poor and we used to come here often. The starter was okay but meatballs burnt and not worth the expensive price but the mains were terrible. Special wrap that was frozen chicken, frozen peppers, frozen mushrooms with a watery sauce. Not very nice at all. Salad wasn’t anything Turkish about it. Salad leaves from a salad bag with some red cabbage from a jar on top Used to love it here so such a shame.

My partner and I have been here before, just after the restaurant changed owners, and we were very impressed, so we decided to visit again as my partner had a day off. We were very warmly greeted by the owner, and as before, the service was friendly and efficient. The food, as expected, was absolutely delicious, we both had the Adana kebab and opted for hummus and baba ganoush starter. Dessert was an absolutely delicious baklava. We don’t often visit Morpeth but this trip was made specially to go for lunch at Ephesus. We have recommended to several friends, some of whom have now visited. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, which is worth mentioning. Looking forward to coming again very soon. Heartily recommended, friendly staff and family run, food is glorious and delicious, beautiful decor throughout and clean and tidy. We booked for 1900 and the place was ready for us, cosy seating in a side book authentic Turkish decor, cant speak highly enough, thanks for a great meal and drinks !!

Went for the 2 course lunch menu. The food was very tasty but the portions were measured to say the least. Then we made the mistake of opting to finish with Turkish coffee without checking the menu for its price. At £9.20 for two thimble-fulls it was a sobering experience.

I have visited here a few times since it's been taken over (i wouldnt of visited again under old management). I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience. The staff are friendly and they go out of their way for you. Every time I go in they ask after my family and they remember their names. The food is outstanding and so is their customer service. I would highly recommend visiting here. 11/10. Well done team Ephesis. It's 100% a must visit

We visited as a family of four whilst on holiday in the area. We all love Turkish food, so always try to find a Turkish restaurant to visit and we weren't disappointed. The food was delicious. We had the hot meze platter to start which was enough for the four of us, my son loved the cacık. My daughter particularly loved the rice that came with her chicken shish. I would add photos, but it was all gone before I had the chance to take any! Clean plates all round. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, and the staff very attentive. I feel the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. We would definitely revisit and have already recommended it to friends visiting the area.

Absolutely immense kebab, got the Adana kebab and I was genuinely upset when I finished it cos it was that nice and I wanted more. Service was also top notch and was very friendly. Said I’d leave a tip then realised I didn’t have a lot of change so it wasn’t as big a tip as I’d have liked to give so I apologise for that 😅 will definitely be leaving a bigger tip when I come back!

We come here to try it but was ok at best 4 tiny prawns supposed to be off shell king prawn the mixed grill was a rip off 1 lamb chop tiny chicken wing 5 peice of chicken like rubber definitely won't be back service was fantastic but food not up to it

Extremely disappointed with our visit. £9 for 4 small meatballs. £9 for 4 small prawns, you have to be kidding. And they were lukewarm. Both our mains had meat that was overcooked. Would normally have complained however we had a birthday voucher to use. Probably won’t return

Very unusual experience. Food was good but nothing outstanding, and quite small portion sizes. However, service etiquette was awful. We weren’t finished our mains but the waiter took these away whilst we refused we weren’t finished. Mains followed just seconds behind our start being taken away. It was like we were being rushed to finish to get another customer in. The £24 bottle of red was the cheapest Merlot known to man. Worth £5 at a push. I wouldn’t recommend sadly. Major overhaul needed with the venues interior, staff and management If they hope to succeed and progress.

Food was excellent and also the service, only issue was the lunch time special priced at around £17.. I had a dip to start, no bread so we had to pay for that, my main was chicken shish, which was 3 pieces with rice, and our third course was a small piece of Turkish cake, which you would expect to receive as a taster... So with 2 beers it came to £48...

Pricey for what you get. Small portions, £26 for I heart sav blanc which is a fiver at supermarket. Lovely staff and restaurant experience was good, just small main course for £20. Expected more.

Music too loud. Meat wasn't fresh, more like out a packet . Expensive for what it is!

Visited Ephesus last night for tea with a friend, the food and service were outstanding. Staff were genuine and lovely, which made it a great atmosphere. One of my favourite restaurants in Morpeth!

What a wonderful restaurant. Serkan, the owner and his staff could not have been more hospitable and welcoming. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. A fantastic menu with plenty of choice. Turkish cuisine at its finest. The interior is relaxing with a great ambience. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and am already looking forward to a return visit.

My wife and I went here three weeks ago. I've been meaning to leave a review, but time has been against me. We arrived early on a Saturday evening, soon after opening so before the big Saturday night rush. I can highly recommend this restaurant. The staff were friendly, joyful, entertaining, and helpful. The food was delicious and served quickly. It makes a refreshing change to eat somewhere the staff are genuinely interested in serving and not just working robotically to a script. 10 stars from me. Fabulous.

The food as Ephesus is so good! Portions are generous too. We had a lovely time over there for dinner, friendly staff great for a chat at the end. We’ll be coming back for sure!

5/5 food. 5/5 atmosphere 6/5 service. The bar are great to talk to and give plenty of informstion on the food and it origin. Our waiter was amazing and we had a great talk. It was our second visit to this place.

Eight of us went mid-week for a family birthday meal. The staff were very welcoming, the food was excellent. They even brought a birthday cake out at the end, which was a really nice touch. We'll definitely be going back in the near future.

Prices have been put up significantly, sheer greed. The downstairs restaurant was virtually empty but we were told upstairs was full, it wasn't, all just a ploy to get us in and pay the high prices....didn't fall for it and walked out. Used to be a gr8 place this but no more..

A proper authentic Turkish restaurant. We had a delicious lunch here today, the food was fresh and really tasty. We had the mix grill and the king prawn garlic cheese starter all 10/10. The bread was so good we had to ask for more. The staff are super friendly and the atmosphere felt like we were in a restaurant in turkey. We most definitely will be visiting here again !

Not as nice as Pinar in Newcastle, where you get more for your money....

Came here this evening with my husband. Friendly service - family run establishment that make you feel very welcome. Food was absolutely superb! I had the Kofte and my husband had the mixed grill. Will 100% be coming back!

What a little gem this place is, right next to the bridge with a little river running by. Cozy little restaurant serving Turkish cuisine. I had the mixed grille and my wife had Adana kebap. Clean tasty food cooked to a very high standard. It's run by 2 brothers Serkan and Erkan. Definitely pop in if we are up near Morpeth.👍

Food and atmosphere were great.

Just had the pleasure of eating at Ephesus and had one of the best meals ever. The starters were tasty and hit the spot before our huge mains. The mixed grill has juicy flavoursome meats, the prawn guvec had 8 huge prawns in the most tasty rich sauce. We only wish we were staying up here longer but may try to sneak another trip there before we go home.

10/10 Me and my partner visited for a meal tonight and it did not disappoint. Food was amazing, staff were lovely and atmosphere was great. The new owners Serkan and his brothers are fantastic and couldn't have been any more welcoming and friendly. Had time to introduce themselves and chat to us. Looking forward to our next visit ! Great food! We were working late one night over the road and called in for a take away for the way home. The food was plentiful and flavourful. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.

My friend went in and asked for a lemon for a girl guiding challenge, and the staff were very friendly and supportive. Not to mention the lemon slices were delicious. Apologies if any of this was an inconvenience. But thank you to those involved you really helped. Brilliant customer service and friendly atmosphere.

Great dining experience. Food was lovely with wait staff on hand whenever I needed them. Didn't wait long at all for our starters. Amazing hot mezze sharing platter to start and the Lamb shank was fantastic literally falling off the bone. Would happily consider going again if I was in morpeth

Such a very nice restaurant - cute and relaxed, yet charmingly sophisticated in its authenticity - so easy to quickly feel encompassed into a really pleasurable serenity. Small, friendly and just wonderful. The staff are lovely and genuine… nothing being too much trouble or any bother - really attentive in a really admirable calm way. What a joy to dine here. Best restaurant we’ve eaten in for some good while. Beautiful and scrumptious food. Quality and fresh tasty authentic Turkish / Greek food. Fantastic menu and choices. Really good portions and served with so much style and panache - made the evening go with a real sense of occasion. Great bar! We felt very valued and regarded the staff back with equal feelings. It’s been such a long time since dining in someones restaurant and genuinely feeling like a welcome guest. Will dine here again.

We booked 2 weeks beforehand for a family of 7 & were shown upstairs where there were no other diners, The waiter made a point to tell us there was a busy kitchen that night so we must hurry to order! The meal was lovely, however a hoovering waiter cleared before everyone had finished, including clearing drinks glasses that weren't finished either. We arrived at 6.15pm & were rushed out by 7.15pm. We decided to make alternative arrangements for pudding. It was uncomfortable & on leaving never even had a thank you or goodbye. I was embarrassed to be honest as some of our family had travelled up from Lincoln to stay for the weekend. Ephesus won't be one of our choices on the next visit unfortunately 😕

We were a booked table of 6 for 6.15pm on a Saturday evening. Our ordering was rushed with the waiter stating that the kitchen was very busy tonight. We were the only table upstairs. Our plates were cleared before we had all finished eating. Our glasses were cleared before they were empty. We asked about dessert but decided against it as they seemed to want us out quick as could be. The food was nice but we were out for a family meal with relatives who we don't often get to see & we were in & out in under an hour. I don't think we'll be back.

The restaurant was busy but had a tab8le for 3. We called 20 mins before but they could accommodate us. Bread and dip was provided whilst we looked at the menu. The choices were made. Food was delivered quickly, and the staff were attentive. The food was good, well presented.

This is a terrific place. Food outstanding. Atmosphere perfect. Small and intimate. Service truly a high point. Bravo! First rate dining experience.

I read the reviews and most were positive, but this restaurant was not for me. We were sat under the air conditioning for which we were both cold and there was a draught coming down the stairs to make things worse! My wife ordered the chicken starter which was ok, and I got the prawns (£8.50 for three) which I thought were overpriced for the Portion you got. For our mains my wife had Seabass and I got the chicken which was very dry, and with one soft drink and a glass of wine, our bill came to £62.50, for which we found expensive.

Meal for 7 people (4 adults & 3 children) for a birthday celebration. Every dish was delicious, fresh & flavoursome. Would highly recommend & will be back when back in the area.

For our starter we had the sharing platter that was fine nothing great. Main course was a kebab lamb I asked does this come a flat bread yes was the reply. It came with a tiny piece of what looked like a tortilla wrap . Very disappointed service was great shame the food wasn't that good

We booked a table for 8 people on Easter Saturday at 8pm and were seated upstairs opposite a large party who were already seated. Our table was against the wall with the chairs pushed as far back to the wall as they would go, meaning everyone seated at that side had to slide along into their place. On taking our drinks order, there was no prosecco available and the staff quickly discovered that they could not physically walk between the 2 tables as there wasn't enough room. They asked to push our table further in which meant the people on the wall side had the table resting against their stomachs. We ordered starters and mains (only one vegetarian main option other than salad) which were all absolutely delicious however the table was beginning to be cleared while some people were still eating which was off putting. We asked to order deserts but the waitier apologised and said the kitchen was closed. The bill took a while to sort out as it had to be recalculated several times as there were things on that we either hadn't ordered or that hadn't arrived. Overall we would revisit as a smaller group as the food couldn't be faulted but it seemed like the restaurant was overfilled and the dining experience was very cramped and uncomfortable.

Mage the mistake of going in Restaurant week, which we had not realised was on. They were very busy. We booked a table over a week before our visit but when we got there we were sat right in front of the door. It was freezing and in my opinion, those 2 tables should not have been in use. We had some absolutely lovely food ( not off the restauraunt week menu ) but it was spoilt because they rushed us so much. We had hardly finished a course before the plates were whisked away and the next course arrived. We booked a table for 19.30 and arrived at 19.20 and had paid our bill and left by 20.30. It was a really disappointing night.
