The best restaurants serving Other european-cuisines food in East of England

I live in S. Wales but travel to the Kings Lynn area to stay with family once or twice a year. I like this pub very much because of it's lovely location, smart interior and a good choice of ale's. However I notice in some reviews people complain about the surliness of the landlord and landlady, well funny thing but I found this to be the case as well, a right pair of misery guts they are, but I do not care about this in the slightest degree as long as they do not have a go at me directly. So we will continue to leave our women in Downham to shop and call in for a few pint's. Oh I'm 74 now so I can get a bit crotchety myself... x

Treated to lunch on our visit to Berkhamsted. Lovely, cosy pub, fantastic friendly and helpful service. Food was plentiful and verytasty with option of roast pots top up - not that we needed it!! Beers & wines were good too. Price wise as expected but worth every penny. Highly recommended..

Ordered chicken donor for delivery for 19.15 and it came 35 mins earlier than asked . Not too sure if it was owner that delivered but I'm sad to say delivery guy was a bit off putting sorry I don't judge on appearance but he wasn't very inviting to food delivery it was off putting for first time customer. Food good but would have been better if hot and not Luke warm although lots of it I couldn't eat pitta as dry, hard . Sorry but won't be returning as first time customer

Horrendous!!! Over an hour late! Paid £20 for a mixed kebab selection and got a diner meat kebab with some burnt chicken. All cold. Tried calling the restaurant to see if they could resolve this but was greeted with utter rudeness. Will never order from them again. Disgrace

Order lamb doner on chips and chicken doner. They gave us the old remaining once from the pot. And even lamb doner tasted like cardboard . Absolutely disgusting

Ordered Lunch to de delivered for staff Christmas lunch. What a great service, food turned up on time piping hot and absolutely delicious. Thank you to all the staff and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Sorry no photos due to eating it all lol

No working toilets, bad rude service, terrible over priced food. Had my worst restaurant experience here.

Worse shish kebab I've ever tasted soggy cold and tasted horrible

We was the only ones there on a sunny afternoon in August!, empty, dark & uninviting & stuck in the corner of the restaurant. Just 8 finger sandwiches & 2 tea plates of the same cakes that was obvious ready for the wedding that day, no scones, tarts, sausage rolls etc & given 2 white MUGS to help ourselves from the vending machine, then left alone, we had to ask them back as vending machine not working, no tea pot etc. Definitely not enough staff & definitely not worth £31!! How they call it an afternoon tea!. . I refused to pay. Thankfully we was at a wonderful event there in the evening - food not supplied by them!.

I had a take-away pizza, margarita with extra onions. Delivery was quick and pizza was delicious - I have their delivery very often and have ever been disappointed. I alternate between pizzas, burgers and kebabs- always delicious so no complaints from me.

Such a shame that the staff are just so poor and don’t care… every single time without fail there is an issue here with Deliveroo - who the restaurant hide behind. Clearly, they’re trying it on and trying to rip off customers. A total joke - and a shame - as the food is actually pretty good

Just picked up a bacon sandwich to take home with me. What a glorious sandwich, just the right amount of bacon and brown sauce. It is even in a heat retaining bag. My first visit but certainly not my last.

After my brother and myself visited many care homes and being a carer in one myself I knew that Alice care home was the one. The manager Rachel gave us a tour and was very impressed with her openness and honesty and said her door is always open. On the day of moving our mother who has Alzheimer’s in we were both so nervous how our mum would be. However we needn’t of worried, as our mum was provided with lunch and introduced to other residents while we unpacked her belongings. The activities lead Penny and carer Emily literally couldn’t have been so kind and welcoming which made the transition smooth. It understandably took our mother a little while to settle which is to be expected but the staff were so supportive and caring to us all which reassured us. Everyone of the staff are wonderful and carers Mary-Beth and Jay have both been fantastic. We are so grateful and happy that our mum is in a safe and beautiful home and is being treated with dignity and respect. The activities and facilities are both excellent and my mum says in her own words “everyone here are just so lovely and I’m really happy here” Well done Alice Grange and thank you. Lynn and Stephen

Appalling service that spoilt an evening. Visited here as the venue for a summer ball for the friends of a school. Bar staff were shocking, rude and incompetent. Food was appalling and verging on inedible. Bar ran out of wine during our event and had a poor selection of other drinks with bar staff that didn’t even know the rudimentary facts about drinks they had. Avoid at all costs - will NEVER go back
