Hotspot Kebab House in Norwich

The special chicken kebab did not contain any mushrooms and came without a pitta bread. A shame, as what was delivered still tasted good but it wasn’t what I ordered.

Arrived early but cold. Chips reheated and clearly not fresh. Not by using again!!

I always love the food from here! But sadly today it wasn’t to my liking so I rang them up to see if I could get a refund and without hesitation they gave me a refund and they even came back to give me cash because the app was playing up! The delivery driver & person on the phone was so lovely! Even though today wasn’t the best! They’re the best kebabs in Norwich!

The best one ever, pizza perfect, burger better than BK and a brilliant deal.

The pizza was hard, chewy and dry so not eaten ans chips were cooked in use fat tasting like from a fryer very unpleasant so not eaten

We've always ordered a kebab from.hot spot, but the recent order of 2 large chicken kebabs was shocking. The flat bread was delivered separately to the kebab, due to that the chicken was swimming in so much juice. The salad wasn't fresh. It was just so disappointing.

Disappointed. Have ordered a monthly family treat from these guys for about a year. Delivered over 45 minutes late. Hung up when I rang to track it down. Driver just shrugged and said “they were busy” Won’t be ordering again :(

Ordered a kebab with salad and a extra side salad.. but what we received is brown iceberg lettice and some red cabbage. Awful! However the rest of the order was pretty good.

Order from here often......last meal for me....£40 spent and no sauce on doner... no pitta for chicken kebab ...what's that all about!! Still hungry....beans on toast from now on... value for money? Nope... beans on toast from now on 👎

We arrived 10 mins early, I went in to let them know we were there but were happy to wait until 8pm as that when we ordered collection for. He said it would be another 10/15 mins and he would start our order now. I said well it better be 10 mins as we booked it for 8pm, he then gave me attitude and kept pointing at the clock, I went back to sit in the car. To give him some credit he waved me at 8pm to say food was done. I went in to collect but noticed there were only 2 boxes in the bag when there should have been 4. I questioned him where the 2 portions of cheesy chips were and he argued with me that I hadn’t ordered them, just 2 kebabs. I said to check the order again as I definitely have ordered and paid for 2 portions of cheesy chips. He checked and admitted he was wrong then apologised and started trying the chips, this then took another 10 mins. I have to say the kebab was pretty underwhelming, the box contained the chicken and salad, pitta bread was in a separate bag, the pitta wasn’t opened or of a decent size for the kebab. Overall we’re very disappointed and will not be returning.

Keep coming back! Don't normally leave reviews but for Hotspot I feel obliged to. Food is always hot and delivered early by friendly staff, can't fault them. You'd be mad not to try this place

Very little amount of topping, lack of flavour

Ordered a veggie pizza and was given a meat one, wasn't until a few bites in my husband noticed and he was shocked. The chips were lovely as was my cheese pizza.

For the price I was happy and would buy again from HotSpot.

Awful. Never again. The kebab tasted like cardboard. I asked for chilli sauce on the side not all over the kebab. I asked for no salad. Truly an horrendous experience. No wonder they're cheap. Go somewhere else!

Ordered a large chicken kebab and a large special chicken kebab. Order was delivered wrong and sent just two large chicken kebabs. The receipt was still in the bag clearly stating the order.

Not the best I’ve had from here , garlic mushrooms cold , chips not very hot either , no mushrooms in the kebab but flooded with grilled peppers , chicken wasn’t the best either

I went to my family’s for the evening and we decided to order from Hotspot where we have been going for years. This was ordered on one account (not my own) which totalled just under £50. We ordered our food which took over 1 hour 40 minutes to be delivered. I tried to call the restaurant as it surpassed the estimated delivery time, but there was no answer. Once this did arrive however, there was a handful of problems. The chicken burger buns were over cooked and the burgers themselves were cold when it arrived. We also had one drink missing which commonly happens when I’ve ordered in the past. We ordered 4 lots of cheesy chips which are £4.20 each and the boxes weren’t even half full and there was more cheese than chips. The chips were tasty but vary scarce. This has happened before and we have taken the chips back to the restaurant and asked for our missing drink and they have offered a better portion and drink so no complaints were made. We then went to the restaurant after eating the meal (bar one lot of cheesy chips to show how terrible the portion was). When we arrived to explain the portions were awful and our experience, we were told that the address we ordered from had been ‘flagged’ due to previous complaints about the food although they have returned and used the restaurant again. Baring in mind we have made 3 previous complaints over years of ordering (we must have ordered near to 100 times). Previous complaints have been polite comments on the portion size or the amount of cheese-to-pizza ratio and have never been rude or claiming any money back apart from for missed items. We certainly will not be using this restaurant again after visiting the store and seeing the state of the restaurant and staff not using any hair nets or similar after finding a hair in one lot of cheesy chips which in all honestly may have been from us but after seeing the restaurant we dread to think. The service from the staff is shocking as we’ve had poor experiences both over the phone and in person on several occasions although we have had great experiences in the past. The past 6-8 months we have had nothing but poor experiences. Poor portions Poor customer service Likely poor hygiene

After calling I was told I ordered for 18.50. Which is untrue. After complaining there way of dealing with the matter was to put the phone down 4 times. I have the right to complain I am the customer. I will never use them again.

Ordered through just eat at 17.30 for delivery at 18.30. At 19.00 had not been delivered. Called them. Answered eventually and after asking where my food is and why it was so late. Their reply you ordered for 18.50. Which was untrue. After questioning this they then decided the best way with dealing with this was put the the phone down( this then happened 4 times). I am the customer and have the right to complain. I won’t be using again. Customer service 0/10

iv not been to hotspot for a few years due to not living locally anymore. But i was i the area and decided to try the food, well shocked or what the shop had been retiled in and out the front making the shop look modern and fresh, customer service was far more than you would normally expect to from a takeaway shop, very friendly and extremely polite considering they were extremely busy, a delivery driver even offered to move his car over to give me more room to get out, just when i didn’t think things could get any better the wrap was lush. Thank you hotspot for the wonderful experience tonight i highly recommend you

Waited over an hour for delivery and when phoned to ask about order they told us they were really busy and implied it was our fault

Paid for extra cheese and I got none at all. No cheese and no mayo!!! Still lovely. Just disappointed.

Sadly because it was 1hour 20 mins after I placed the order, and 20+ mins after latest delivery time, when the food arrived it was cold and the chips chewy. If fresh I’m sure yummy! Great portion size though for “small”.

If I could put zero stars I would. I never came across such unprofessional service. Food was delivered, on opening the food we realised that it was not our order, we called the restaurant, all we heard in the background was shouting and swearing when the guy told the woman that the wrong order was delivered. the delivery driver came back with our food. As soon as we opened the door he demanded we give the wrong order back to him even tho we’ve already opened it and told him it would be unhygienic to give it back, he still demanded the food. I’ve told him I’ll be back in a minute and went to call the restaurant, the owner said to give the food back so that they can bin it at the restaurant because they don’t like giving free food away, as soon as coming off the phone the delivery driver started banging on my front door demanding the food again which we gave to him and then got told the restaurant would never serve us again which to be honest I would never order from them again anyway, our food was delivered cold because of the mishap and the driver leaving our actual food outside while waiting for us to give the wrong order back to him.

Food was rank meat chewy couldn’t digest

Kebab and chips were great, their chilli sauce is perfect too.

The food was ten minutes late but was very tasty as always, a pot of sauce was missing from the order too.

Burned pizza sent. They collected them, then called me up to say no pizzas available anymore, didn't offer any alternatives, just said there's no more pizza, get a refund from just eat, and hung up. Got no dinner now. I've ordered here over 20 times easily, pretty gutted. Won't be ordering again due to this awful customer service.

Far too slow, had to wait ages and the staff weren't very apologetic. Food was good though.

We order from here regularly, and are usually very pleased with the service. However our food was over an hour late this time, and communication on the issue was very poor.

Ordered many times before but tonight chips were bit ropey and I ordered a Diet Coke and got a coke.

This was the last time I'll order from hotspot. I received 2 meals, one was for a different person. Called them and they said they'd pick up the food to take to the right person, even though I'd opened it. We could have done anything to that food and the people who ordered it wouldn't have known. Our chips were also so saturated with oil that if you squeezed them, oil DRIPPED out. For the last few weeks the chips also had back dots all over them as well. They said they'd come round later to give us more chips but didn't come back.

Returning customer, kofte kebab , Chicken x 3 pieces ,chips and salad. All delivered on time,hot and tasty. Highly recommended 👌 👍

Food never turned up will not use again

Delivered 30 mins late, driver couldn’t find the house. We usually order at least once a month from here so I when I opened up a box of chips that was less than half full, and costing £4.30 I was disappointed. Probably look for a different takeaway now.

Food and delivery time was ok but we didn’t receive what we asked for - we ordered 2 kebabs with Garlic sauce and an additional pot of chilli sauce and garlic sauce however we only Got the additional pots and no garlic sauce on the actual kebab - very disappointing.

I’m sorry to leave this review but the pizza I ordered tonight was not acceptable. The level of salt it contained was off the chart. I tried to resolve this through just eat customer service but they were ignorant to my concerns. I have ordered from this place many times with no issue. I don’t complain for the sake of it and I’m very disappointed how the restaurant dismissed my complaint. I have not eaten the pizza and I don’t appreciate wasting my money. This could have been handled much better by looking into my previous orders and reviews and the takeaway accepting the customer was legitimately unhappy. I don’t think they will care but I’m not using them again. Poor poor service

the chicken was so overcooked so i didn't like it, but the chips were nice.

Food was great and really tasty, shame my second kebab came with sauce when only stated one with sauce. So the missus went hungry. So I’ll be in the doghouse before crimbo.

Haven't ordered from Hotspot for a while now but was superb. Arrived on time and was cooked to perfection..

Firstly the Lad I spoke too was polite and apologetic which was good. I can appreciate that it was a busy night But why say it's with the delivery driver at 19:31 then don't deliver till 20:30. Most food was okay Doner and chips were cold when arrived. Not the usual service.

Food turned up very late and was stone cold, not even warm. Rang the restaurant who said they would come and collect the food but never did. I expect a full refund. Shame as the food is usually ok. Doubt I'll use these again just for the poor customer service.

It is match day so was making allowances however even if the pizza wasn’t cold it looked awful and tasted bad. The salad with the kebab was not up to their usual standard plus I was told the food was being delivered 25 mins before it actually arrived.

30 minutes late, the kebab meat was nice. The salad was so soggy there was a puddle of water in the bottom and it leaked onto the pitta which was also soggy. Pizza was lovely though

Seems like this place has new owners that have changed food suppliers and hiked up the prices. Can’t say I’m a fan of the new food, quality has definitely dropped (including the cooking quality) and now we have to pay more for it. Last order from this regular customer unfortunately.

First time ordering and can't fault the food or the delivery time. Living alone I rarely get a takeaway as it's an unrealistic min order for one from most places. This place it was only £9....great news ☺️ Fab kebab it was nice and hot and tasty as was the chicken. I will be back...

Over a hour late.. restaurant hung up on me twice when chasing the food delivery time. When it arrived it wasn't as we had asked and they had tried to make it right by giving us a bottle of drink. Hotspot used to be so good but unfortunately it's terrible these days!

Was informed was on its way over a hour ago 30 min before delivery window. Still not here after that delivery window. Very disappinted. The journey from the restaurant to my home is less than 5mins so no excuse. Please refund me immediately

Ordered a bottle of coke, it cost £3. When it arrived, it clearly says on the bottle £1.75. Pretty sure that’s illegal.

The chips was white they literally looked like they hadn’t been cooked… I always use hotspot.. but I wouldn’t want that again 🥴

waited, said it’s been delivered no food turned up rang up they said they knocked but I didn’t answer wasn’t the case atall. They resent the food and called to say I wasn’t answering turned out they went to the wrong door again. I met them outside my property for them to see where I was. Food came no sauces/dips was packed chips were crunchy and hard very disappointing as have ordered a few times from here.
