Duarte’s Cafe in Great Yarmouth

This place is an absolute gem. Stumbled into it on the Friday and was blown away. We went back Sunday. I had the mushroom pasta, and the canneloni and they were both so good, they give you such a big pot of parmesan to sprinkle to taste too. Their homemade deserts in the fridge look delicious, but they were sold out of tiramisu :( I did have the condensed milk and biscuit one though and it was very tasty. My child is dairy intolerant, and they were great with her. This place does her new favourite pizza. Which is saying something given its her favourite food. The only grump I had with them was that I wanted the rocket and parmesan salad on the side, and they brought me a different one, but everyone on the table was in the mood to steal my vegetables so I didn't say anything.

We were surprised by how small and intimate it was, a couple of dishes were off the menu due to supply issues but that can't be helped. All the food was freshly cooked and the service was excellent, in a small place it can be overbearing but it wasn't at all. Tucked in the original side streets this place is a gem!
