Just off the seafront, lovely restaurant, obviously a favourite with the locals too. Service very friendly, food is first class. Highly recommend.

What an amazing little find this place was. I ordered the American pizza and my partner had the meat feast; wow oh wow they were incredible, super tasty and cheesy! The service was great, waitress was so lovely. Would highly recommend this place for authentic hand made pizzas!

We popped here for dinner before watching a show at the hippodrome as it is literally a 2 min walk. This was such a little treasure to stumble upon! Everything was just great. Staff are so friendly, polite, professional and efficient. Food was absolutely delicious! We had dough balls to start and they are the best dough balls I’ve even eaten! Mains were lasagna, pizza, steak and they were cooked to perfection - better than some super fancy restaurants we have eaten in. Prices are very reasonable. Fully recommend and will definitely be back!

I took my family here during our visit to Great Yarmouth. This place is just simply excellent! They used great quality ingredients and the pizzas tasted fantastic. It was a nice atmosphere to have two kids in too. Really friendly staff. Couldn't recommend it enough.

A top resturant we stayed in Great Yarmouth for two nights and we came to Pizzaeria Baleal twice, excellent service and tasty good food.

Delicious pizza and pasta. Great service. We ordered the vegetarian pizza and the meat feast pizza. Both disappeared very quickly which is a great sign and a shrimp and clam linguine again delicious.

Had a birthday meal here, 11 of us altogether with varying diets. What can I say, absolutely fantastic. We ordered several different dishes and each one came out just perfect, and piping hot. Great assortment of pizzas, pastas, grills, burger and fish. Good range of starters and delicious desserts too. The Champagne Sangria is amazing, well it all is. We were looking for something other than fish and chips and stumbled onto Pizzeria Baleal and we were not disappointed. The spaghetti bolognaise was the best I’ve ever tasted (And we’ve been to Italy!) and my husband throughly enjoyed his Lasagne too. Would recommend every day!

Eaten here twice now and each time was excellent. The food is superb, freshly cooked and really tasty. A mixture of Portuguese dishes and a huge range of Pizzas to choose from. The food was decent, the service ok, place totally lacked any atmosphere. Despite booking they didn’t know we were arriving. Sorry but it’s just middle of the road for me and really needs an uplift and some atmosphere.

I booked this restaurant for my partners 30th birthday, the process of booking was straight forward and easy, the restaurant were very quick at responding and were extremely helpful. On arrival we were greeted with a friendly face and a table that had been decorated with banners, table decor and balloons (a big 30 balloon also!!) We ordered baked dough balls with garlic butter (oh my god incredible) and my partner had garlic bread with mozzarella and bacon (thoroughly enjoyed) along with grilled chorizo to share. Portion sizes are very generous! For the main I ordered belly pork which came with chips and salad and my partner had pasta carbonara, presentation was very good and portion sizes again, very generous! After we had finished, the staff brought out a trio of deserts with a sparkler in and a small birthday cake and sang happy birthday to my partner. The staff throughout the meal were making good conversation when needed and the owner personally came out to greet us and wish my partner a happy birthday. Overall, the whole service was amazing, I cannot thank the staff and of course the chef for providing us with the best possible service they could and going above and beyond for us. We visited for dinner before the Hippodrome Show. Was empty when we arrived at about 6pm within 10 mins quickly filled up. We ordered a variety of starters and pizza to come out together, waitress handled my allergy to onions no problems adapting the pizza with no issue. We had dough balls, tomato goat cheese and rocket salad, grilled chorizo and the meat feast pizza. Portions are very generous and we prob would have been full without the pizza. Dough balls need a special mention as they were delicious and very large, the garlic butter with them was gorgeous. We couldn't finish our pizza and this was boxed up for us, they even kindly agreed to keep it while we went to the show. All the food above, a small bottle of prosecco and a soft drink less than £40. Great value for money and even though a fairly early dinner for me I stayed full all evening as apposed to some other types of meals. We will definitely be back next time we are in Great Yarmouth.

A large noisy group of friends, 12 in total, descended on this restaurant.The staff were so welcoming & helpful.Half of the group had pizza - which were lovely, I had Octopus and the rest the Picanha.My Octopus with boiled potatoes and olive oil was the best I have ever had.The house red wine was very tasty, ridiculously reasonable and was certainly flowing well.However there is a great offering of non-alcoholic beers and soft drinks.None of us can say enough about how wonderful the food and staff were.

Came here on a Saturday without making a reservation after hearing a really good review from a friend. We were seated right away and felt that if we had got there any later would have struggled to get a table. The restaurant was full by 8.30pm ish. As the waitress took our order she apologized and said there would be about a half hour wait, which we didn't mind as we had ordered some olives to keep us going. We decided to order a pizza which was OK, we'd added some jalapenos to spice it up a bit, but it wasn't very spicy. There was a hot sauce on the table that tasted gone off, and I had stupidly smothered my pizza in it before trying it. For me the restaurant did not live up to the hype, but maybe that's because of the type of food I choose. I am a vegetarian and was limited by that as there were about 3 choices. I believe the meat dishes are perhaps something to rave about.

After hearing brilliant reviews off friends and family we decided to give this restaurant a go. The staff are friendly and the price of the food is good but there were ants all over the table and windowsill which really put me off. We decided to just ignore it and eat but the pizza came realllly greasy which is not my cup of tea so I couldn’t really eat it. My partner and his nan enjoyed the food so I can only speak for myself on that part. The entrance to the restaurant is quite hidden too which does not effect the restaurant itself. But, we probably won’t be returning.

Recommend by a neighbour, ordered pizza’s to take out. I went for the Pollo Peppadew and can honestly say it’s the best pizza I have ever tried. Pizza was literally massive too. The staff are beyond friendly and I’m saying bye bye to Dominoes, Pizza Hut & Papa Johns!

We went here for the second time and found the food simple but tasty and plentiful. The young lady who served us was very friendly and helpful. They offer a large range of pizza, and our meals were served quickly. We will certainly be back.

We popped in here at 5.30 on Wednesday in half term. We were greeted and seated, order taken within minutes and 2 beautifully fresh and hot pizzas brought to us. The 16" pizza is huge and served 2 adults. The 12" served 2 children. Lots of flavours to choose from and great service. Recommended.

Este lugar nos fuimos porque queríamos algo diferente de pescado y patatas fritas. La mejor decisión! Después de mirar en el menú y el menú, elegimos el menú fijo que estaba todo lo que pueda comer. Incluso si elegimos la comida al precio normal, no nos ha decepcionado, las gambas y el pulpo era encantador, igual que el resto de extras en las entradas. Su filete de especialidad, mucho thinner than normal, estaba preparado lo preguntamos y todos los extras que la comida. Yo Portuguesa lager (Super Bock. . El mejor!. ); mi mujer y mi hija, el mejor zumo Compal portugués:. Entrantes? Aceitunas (muy buena) y "chouriço assado" (Dios mío, tan bueno! Con un poco de pan). Platos principales? Mi hija tenía un mini-pizza (riquísimo! Mi esposa), la "Picanha" (un plato de carne de Brasil, también se encuentran comúnmente en Portugal, perfectamente preparada) y yo el pulpo (yep, este era increíblemente preparados portugués y estaba delicioso! ). Postres? "Yo y mi esposa" pudim "musse de chocolate de dulces", "pecado"! Terminamos con una simple expreso. El personal? Muy amable y muy preocupada con todo ser de la manera en que nos gustó! El único aspecto negativo de ello? La música! No es que fuera malo, pero bastante poco ruidosa y, sinceramente, "independientes" para completamente el ambiente del restaurante (mi opinión! ). Haber oído cosas buenas sobre el restaurante de amigos y ver una alta calificación en Tripadvisor, decidimos tener nuestra cena de pre-circo en Baleal.

De paso en la zona y vimos este lugar. Estaba vacía pero que pensé que le daría una oportunidad. Bien vale la pena. Buena relación calidad-precio y la carne a la parrilla estuvo muy buena. Volvería de nuevo. La música era bastante raro para un restaurante (música de baile), pero estaba bien, y no un problema.

A lovely little Italian/Portuguese restaurant with a very friendly welcome. The food was outstanding and you can taste it was cooked fresh. Our 2 boys had pizza and both commented on how delicious the base was. Topped off with amazing tiramisu and cheesecake we stumbled across this lovely place by chance and will definitely be coming back

We visited this place on Friday night at approx 7 o clock. Upon entering there was only one couple in the far corner eating. We were told we could sit anywhere, we were immediately asked if we would like drinks which we did and then we were left to look over the menu which was very extensive. We ordered cheesy garlic bread and dough balls to start and then a margarita pizza for our son and a 16 inch hot bella special (I think) puzza for us when we received our starters we knew we had made the right choice in choosing the place, they were both amazing and looked forward to the pizzas. The pizzas were absolutely gorgeous and rivalled any pizza I have ever had before (including the "well known" pizza places). We also ordered two desserts and a litre of wine which all came in at less than £45. The only down side about this place is that's it's over a 4 hour drive for us to resist! Would thoroughly recommend

We arrived in Great Yarmouth very hungry and just happened to park outside Baleal. It didn't catch the eye from the outside but looks can be deceiving! We ordered pizza for the kids and my husband and a burger for myself. I have to say it was the best burger I've ever eaten. The kids pizza was lovely and my husbands was fantastic. The pudding also homemade was utterly delicious. I went to thank the chef which I don't normally do. I've also joined trip advisor to post this. We just wish we lived nearer Baleal. Well i have been gradually working my way to all the restaurants that i have always overlooked and so far been pleasantly surprised. Yet again WHY HAVE I NOT VISITED BEFORE!! I could kick myself. My husband and i were originally going for chips and a walk but decided to give this place a go. Doesn't look much from the outside and to be fair inside doesn't look much. But there is a certain Italian place with the same issue. Do not judge a book by its cover!! We were seated by a lovely young lady. I explained we hadn't been before so were unfamiliar with a few things on the menu. Although they seem to specialise in pizza we decided on a dish called ' Picanha. Thin sliced marinated steak with rice, black beans and chips and farofa ' We also had a starter of bruschetta.... (pics are attached) Nothing strange just simple food, cooked extremely well and full of flavour. The steak was still pink in the middle as we had asked. It was very tender. Some tables near us had the pizza... they looked home made and gorgeous so we will go back, but then someone else had a massive bowl of muscles and the prawns... what we saw coming out of that kitchen was just good looking and tasty food.We had a litre of sangria as its my favourite tipple and it certainly hit the spot. Then a black coffee to finish. You just can't beat a Portuguese coffee!! Our bill £42. For a couple of hours relaxation, litre of sangria a good meal and no complants we didnt think that was unreasonable at all. Yes it is a Portuguese restaurant but you do not have to be Portuguese to go there... We did not feel out of place or excluded. If you do not try this place next time you fancy pizza and you go to a certain hut SHAME ON YOU... you do not know what you are missing.....

Another fantastic meal at what is fast turning into our favourite local restaurant. Great Yarmouth has been crying out for a decent pizza joint for years - and this one serves delicious homemade pizzas in a friendly, welcoming environment. We're currently addicted to the American Picante, which sees creamy Mozzarella and slices of pepperoni spiced up by the addition of some hot and fiery jalapeno peppers, but we've tried most of the toppings over the past two years and would happily recommend any of them. Most importantly, the bases are perfect - and all made fresh to order!But it's not just the perfect pizzas that make this such a special restaurant. My partner and I aren't really into desserts, but we can't resist the ones at Pizzeria Baleal. Most of them are classic Portuguese desserts, like the creamy, biscuity Serradura and the best chocolate cake ever, the Brigadiero. But there's also a homemade Creme Caramel, which comes drenched in delicious caramel sauce, and a luscious strawberry cheesecake... and choosing between those is never easy. Often it's tempting to order them all!And then when you throw in a litre of Portuguese red wine for just £12.50,which is plenty enough to get my partner and I drunk, and fabulous service from the lovely waitresses, you've got a restaurant that always keeps us coming back for more. Great food and wine! Relaxed vibe! Lovely owners! Lovely waitresses! Really, what more could you want?:

A group of 8 with teenage children, we were initially put off going in the pizzeria due to the outdated decor and musac but as the vote went for pizza rather than fish and chips we went in. The pizzas were great - freshly prepared, thin, stonebaked with lots of toppings, good salads and pasta so we were very pleasantly surprised. The place could do with updating but we had a good value dinner that everyone enjoyed.

This resturaunt has a wonderful family feel to it... I would highly recommend it, the food is amazing and very well prepared. I always feel welcome when i go there as quite a regular... Consider this resturaunt a second home . Lovely atmosphere, food, and experience 5/5. I can tell that the staff put A LOT into their work

This is my second visit and it's now one of my favourite restaurants. Very good value! From the outside looks like a kebab shop. Inside nicely dressed tables, freshly cooked Italian/Mediterranean food and friendly staff. Can't fault this place try it.

Well I am really disappointed! We have been to this restaurant before and the food is lovely, unfortunately on tonight's visit they had dance/rave music playing in the background and all you could hear was the base thumping in the background! I asked twice for some more soothing music and in the end had to leave with a headache. We did not enjoy our visit at all and doubt that I will be going back! I suggested a little bit of Latino or more Mediterranean style music would be more fitting. I am sure my comment fell on deaf ears! Shame, good pizza and we live here so no repeat business!! I do not think dance music is appropriate for a family restaurant by the waitresses did not seem interested that I left upset

We came back here after a year (found it last year on holiday) and the food is just as good as before, even with our 16 month old who was hungry and fractious the staff are lovely, the food absolutely yummy and the price makes it even better, super value for good food. Restaurant ia a little dated but personally we think it adds to its charm. We will be back again next year :)

Excellent Service, Great Fresh cooked food with a Portuguese flare..We had our granddaughter in tow (2yr Old) and she absolutely loved it..Attentive staff with a genuine interest in making sure everything was Ok with our meal and checking if anything was needed by the Little'un A true family atmosphere, we would have missed the place had it not been for a recommendation from a local - well worth seeking out it's literally just off the main strip and could all too easily be missed. Nice thin crusts with plenty of toppings, friendly service and very reasonable value, what's not to like.Plenty of other things on menu as well.
