Great food at great prices ,always served piping hot

Didn’t get a chance to try their food so cannot rate that, the delivery was not attempted as they claimed, I did not receive any miss calls or texts from the delivery. Very poor service wouldn’t recommend.

We have had a fantastic stay and dining experience at the Hawkenbury. Staff are friendly and chatty. The breakfasts are great. Loved the variety in the continual breakfast. The cooked breakfast was also superb. We dined in the restaurant on the first day of the new Summer menu. The new menu was the best pub menu we’ve seen in our 5 weeks travelling around the UK. Pub favourites plus some interesting other options. Reasonable prices too. My husband was thrilled to see mussels on the menu, and it was a generous serve. My pasta dish was delicious and perfectly cooked. Overall the food is fresh and tasty and is obviously made with quality ingredients. The service is fast and friendly. One of the best things is the Inn’s cat, who is happy to be petted at all times.

Stopped by on our way to Tollymore Forest Park. The coffee and delicious breakfast was warming and just what we needed on a cool, rainy morning. Plus, the shop itself was very nice. We enjoyed looking at the item for sale while waiting for our breakfast.

Great view. Hard to get a seat. Bar staff that don't know who is next, can't get a hot drink and very functional staff that don't focus on service.

Found the coffee served too hot causing an initial bitter taste. Good surroundings and light upstairs. Food too manufactured for me. Warm welcome and a smile were optional extras. Not for me. Sorry.

Claret jug was perfect, masters, lovely Guinness, Hannah and Atul made the experience twelve times better than the round I played

I have had really nice food from here before. Yesterday our chips were delivered barely warm. Burger was fine

We stopped here for a little food and drink as a minor detour from a hike and while it looked charming from the outside, once we were inside we saw the following: (1) severe under-staffing (2) depressing lighting and decor (3) very shabby 'garden' area that could use a LOT of improvement and (4) quite smelly, old bathrooms with incredibly slow, weak, and unusable hand dryers that didn't seem to have been updated in decades. The food looked nice enough from a distance but as we were told there would be at least an hour's wait for us to even receive starters (due to the under-staffing) we left. Also it all looked a bit over-priced considering the environment and generally in-need-of-renovation vibe of the place.

Stayed at hotel for 2 nights. Very friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately evening meals weren't available, but that wasn't too bad as the staff did advise on takeaways etc. Apartment was very clean and tidy. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend and we hope to visit again.

I stumbled across this restaurant walking back from Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum and University of Glasgow. I had the £6.50 lunch special, choosing the Jacques Monsiour (Croque Monsiour). I was so impressed with the quality of this sandwich. It was delicious, fresh and I thoroughly enjoyed the side salad and coleslaw too! The service was lovely also and as I attended solo, the guy was lovely enough to seat me in my own area to the side which felt very private and relaxing after a long morning of sight seeing! Food, value for money and service were all amazing. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate going again!

Had our works night out at the pub. food was excellent and well priced.staff were first class we enjoyed our evening many Thanks Nick
