Ok if you're smashed but the pizza was a disappointment, dog loved it though.

Just picked up a pizza here for the first time! It was really good! Lovely doughy base and plenty of toppings. I’d definitely pop back again!

Ordered 2 pizzas, one came looking lovely while the other well looks it was made somewhere else. Wasn’t even cut the bbq base was so watery it soaked the bread base and by the time it arrived it had all slid to the side. Because of how wet the base was it also soaked into the paper underneath which then glued its self to the pizza. Stomached a bit before chucking it in the bin. Used to be really lovely but looking at the reviews it seems in the last few months it’s all going down hill

Dirty rotten place the place looks like it needs environmental agency and food and hygiene called on it the dirt on the floor is from years ago cop webs from years back the hole place needs cleaning food poisoning is something u will get here one of the most dirtyest places I’ve ever entered for food disgusting I would not eat here

Every order has always been great - service has always been fab and the food tasty!! And all at a good price. They even deliver to the campsite a good distance away and never had a delivery rescued by them. Great take away with great people and great food! What more could anyone ask for 👍🏻 Thanks guys 😁

These guys are great!! Never had an issue, the food is great, the delivery drivers are polite and awesome and they deliver to me (which is out in the sticks) with no fuss at all!! Recommend using these guys for your take outs. Thanks for all your time and effort and for doing what you do. 👍🏻👍🏻

We order at least 3 times aweek.Not had any problems with the food which is vert good. But last 4 times our XLarge Spicey spuds are now down to size of a Large.So not good when paying for a xlarge

Ordered at 20.30 - said delivery would be half an hour. Then that jumped up to up to over an hour.. Wish the delivery guys Moped broke down on route.. . The food is less than bog standard. The lamb shish wrap is.. 3 bits of lamb and some lifeless onion/lettuce in a saggy thin lifeless wrap. The chicken wings are burnt to a crisp.. Great after you've travelled around the south of the country for 2 days.. . Wouldn't recommended at all.

Ordered the chicken Donna. I know it's not the finest of meats but all three kebabs were a greasy fatty mess with lifeless veg and wilting tomatoes. Delivery driver walked in off the street then started handling food without washing his hands! I would of gone back for a refund but I came from Buckfastleigh and didn't want to waste any more time! All 3 kebabs went in the bin after a few mouthfuls!

Another stop to try a random takeaway. Chicken shsih with pita and salad with chilli sauce. Excellent food , excellent collection time. Will definitely return

Best pizza in Ivybridge… Great staff

Unfortunately the food was stone cold, that's everything we ordered, also the large kebab was just meat and pita. No salad no sauce! When does a kebab come like that? Afraid after a long day out, looking forward to a takeaway as late back, and it was a massive let down.

Ordered a ham mushroom and pineapple pizza, but no pineapple and tasteless ham. Very disappointing. Won't order from here again

Good take-away. I visit here often when I drive past when returning from the sea to have a kebab wrap and I must say, they are really good. I started ordering the lamp donner and I must say, it's great. The only reason for missing out one star is that the chips I got to complement the wrap tasted a bit like rubber.

Well decided to give this place a go on just eats ordered a meat feast pizza and fried chicken. Well the fried chicken they serve is nothing like fried chicken anyone else serves no crispy coating no flavour more like a piece or roast chicken at extortionate prices also ordered a meat feast pizza what was delivered was more like a cheese pizza with a couple of bits of meat here and there. My girlfriend is a vegetarian there was so little meat she had some before we fed the majority of it to the dogs. If you want a decent pizza or fried chicken then it has to be pizza loca feel well ripped off

Ordered a portion of spicey spuds,( just to give them a second chance after the greasy mush i had last time) was told it was £4. When i asked why the price had rocketed was told that the servers council tax had gone up. ???? Last time for me.

Ordered sausage and chips and received it in a small chicken nuggets box. There was about 15 chips and barely covered the bottom of a small plate. Pizza also arrive cold and had a weird smell. I usually buy from here but God knows what happened to the quality! Called the restaurant 20 times, no answer. Called the mobile number on their website and was just told to call the restaurant as he was in today. No apology, no interest in finding out whats wrong. Messaged him and was ignore Avoid!!!

Walked in for a chicken kebab. Not the best but alright for the price. Staff weren't the most polite but overall decent place.

we have had food here fotmr the past 15 years with no issues, however since they have offered delivery it has gone rapidly down hill! Last month we ordered a chicken pizza and we were both ill an hour after eating it! Thought we would give them another chance....my burger that I had paid for was not even sent, chips were cold and under cooked, vegetable pizza was uncooked and wet in the middle... sorry but that was the last time we will have food from there!!! 🤮

30 minutes late, phoned them and they have no information on how long it will take for our food to be delivered. Won't be ordering again.

What a pizza! Seriously! 15"?!! Miles better taste and value than the mainstream big pizza brands in my opinion. Local, small business selling amazing, quickly delivered pizza orders. So impressed. Great choices too, other food is available if you're not a pizza fan.

Waited 2 hours with no sign of our order. I rang to ask for an update and they admitted they hadn't even started it because they had lost the order. I suggest they adopt a system where they can keep track of their orders,

Went this evening hoping to get a takeaway. Stood at the door trying to work out if it was ok to enter - ignored! Then I’m pushed from behind with a loud excuse me! I turned round shocked to find a man right up in my face telling me to hurry up! I moved far away and said if you don’t want to wait that’s fine by me break social distancing rules. He just smirked and went inside. Seems he was staff!! If staff don’t abide by any type of social distancing then my worries about this place go through the roof. I don’t even touch my family and a man I don’t know touched me!

Having just enjoyed my take out ordered on just eat I thought it only fair to leave a glowing review. Food was hot and fresh on arrival. Both the Mrs and I enjoyed the pizza and large Doner. Keep it up guys .

Always good service, reasonable prices, good food

I went in for a large chicken donner kebab and 15" hot and spicy pizza, both were alright but the pizza dough was a little odd. As said before by other reviews the customer service could be a lot better.

Late night visit around 10.30pm so guess must have been near closing time. Order of Jumbo sausage and cheesy chips and a portion of (once famous) spicy spuds. Ordered delivery via just eat website at 3pm ish for delivery later at 5.15pm. got a confirmation called from Ali's at 4.30pm (as soon as they opened) who asked if wanted it any earlier but i said original time of 5.15 was fine. Food arrived promptly at 5.15pm, ordered Pizza (chicken BBQ) and some sides (wedges, garlic bread, jalapeno bites) and found all the sides to be very hot (in good way) but the Pizza was a lot colder than everything else, still nice and still eatable but can't help but wounder if had been cooked and out of oven a long time before the sides were done, partially as were wondering if wanted delivery earlier than ordered online but i ovi don't know this for sure. Thought Pizza was great value for money at 12.50 for 15" (HUGE) and 4 garlic breads deal. wedges and jalapenos cream cheese fair price at £3 each but £18.30 all in for 15" stuff crust pizza, 3 sides and 2 dip pots is BARGAIN! (need a mortgage for that at Dominoes). Think store would be well served by investing in its own website rather than using just eats as get conflicting emails/messages with different times and info etc, plus no one really wants/needs 6 messages and a phone call for 1 order from 2 places.

I Must say really enjoy 40 Dishes Always friends staff and food is good price this is without a doubt a place worth getting food from.

Like others have stated, the customer service was absolutely shocking! We ordered some food through Just Eat so initially didn't have any contact with the so called 'Restaurant' and thought the process would be pretty straight forward. The order went in and we just had to sit back and await its arrival. Credit where the only bit of credit is due, expected delivery was an hour (unbelievable really) but our food was delivered in about 30 minutes, kudos! Upon opening the food (The chicken looked bit ropey, spuds are spuds and the chicken kebab looked alright) I had realised they had sent the wrong food so phoned them to try and rectify my order. After attempting to speak to someone from the 'restaurant' he abruptly told me to wait a few minutes and hung up on me! Stupidly i thought this would mean he would organise a replacement to be sent out to me but how i was so wrong! After a further hour had passed, I made contact with Just Eat who I made the order through who through no lack of trying (they couldn't even get through to the 'Restaurant' themselves gave me a refund and a gesture of good will. Safe to say Ali Baba's have gone down hill big time and the new owners have to learn quick as overall their business is a shambles! Won't be using them again! Should have trusted the other reviews... last mistake

Food isn't the worst, but it's not brilliant. Requested delivery, given a 45 minute delivery time, delivered within 20 minutes. Not a problem, but if you give a delivery time, stick to it.Half the order was right, but the other half wasn't. Requested garlic mayo, got chilli sauce. Called to tell them the order was wrong, said "give me a minute" and hung up.Waited another 45 minutes to see if they were going to deliver a correct item, nothing.Contacted Just Eat to see if they could get anywhere. They couldn't even get through. Managed to contact the owner who said "call back in half an hour". So, they did.Owner was this time unavailable.Just Eat were unable to get hold of them, so instead gave us a voucher to use. Stay away from this shop.

Ordered food as a treat for the children, was told an hour wait which is totally fine, the delivery driver was 30 minutes early and I was upstairs, unfortunately my 3 year old opened the door for the driver who gave her the food and walked into my hallway and left Not acceptetable at all he didn’t even call out for an adult !!!i rang and complained to be told they are busy and that’s why this had happened and I can have a can have a can of coke for an apologydisgusting behaviour and so unprofessional !!!!

Very poor quality Of food ,I wouldn’t recommend them at all if you want to be ill or you would love to give yourself a big punishment go and try them OMG .never had such a bad experience in whole my life been in toilet whole night .

Bought pizza share a tear cheese crust, this is not fresh dough tasted soggy. Was ill hours later and following day, half of order was missing. Phoned up and complained didn't really care got missing items about 40 mins after rest of order. We binned the lot. Never again

had delivery june 2018, chips were dry cold and hard,asked for thick crust pizza, got thin crust, and chicken burger had 1 small piece of chicken in,overall very poor standard, wouldnt buy from there again

Good quality at a reasonable price. Arrived on top, pleasant delivery driver and food still hot! Would definitely use again.

Probably the only time Ivybridge looks busy is in the evening when locals can't be bothered to cook and seek out an alternative.

popped in on our way home from a walk ,ordered 2 small lamb dona kebabs and 1 large chips ,we got back to our apartment opened the containers to find the biggest kebab i have ever seen ,couldnot eat it all glad I didn't order the large one

The chicken burgers are the best you will taste. I often visit and the service is second to none. Also a very clean place

Kebab was tasteless and sauce you order with it was very thin. The burger had almost no flavour and chips we almost stale like taste and cold. The spicy potato was soft and not very nice. I like the potato in Plymouth that's crunchy outside and soft inside. I heard good things about this place but wasn't impressed compared to places I've had before. Only been once. Don't think I'd risk going again unless the quality of food changes and gets better.

I'm a chicken kebab connoisseur. Ali Baba's does a REALLY good one. Can't say about anything else because I haven't tried it.

Reminds me of a place with same colour scheme and name in Union St near the old Palace Theatre. Busy enough to sell a lot of kebabs which means it tends to be fresher and tastier. Like the staff who are friendly and efficient.

Haven't eaten here very often but whenever we do, it's alright. Fine cuisine it ain't but you get what you'd expect from a kebab shop and it's perfectly edible and has some flavour. It's never made me ill but I wouldn't write home about it either. Decent value and the guy in there is friendly enough, what more do you want?

I have regularly bought kebabs from this takeaway over the years, and always found them to be good in taste and size, although obviously a little bit more pricey than what you would pay in the major cities. It is almost always busy in there, and this can mean that service is a little slow (particularly when the younger staff are working), and my only other complaint would be that they often run out of shish kebabs so have an alternative in mind! I have never had one personally but I have been told the burgers are OK too.One thing that you must try is the "Potato Surprise", "Special Potatoes" or "Spicy Spuds" as they are known - a house speciality of potatoes in a sort of batter which I think are cooked in a pressure cooker - a great mystery but well worth a visit for them alone. I have never seen them anywhere else but they are really tasty (and I think quite unhealthy!).If you're in the Ivybridge area, this is the place to head for a kebab. I don't think they do delivery.
