Visited while on a familiar holiday Booked in advance for the chefs table dining experience and it certainly didn’t disappoint We were 4 of a Group of 8 and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere created by the owner / chef Very good value too

Everything about Andria is outstanding. The food is amazing, we had three small plates each and couldn’t decide which was the best because they were cooked to perfection. The restaurant has a great feel to it, as well as welcoming and relaxing. We came when the place opened and the food is as good then as it is now. If visit Dartmouth, don’t miss out on this special experience.

We’ve been to Andria before & we were keen to take a good friend there, maybe Good Friday wasn’t the best choice. The food continues to be fantastic but the general experience sadly did not stand up to scrutiny. The first time we went we were seated ‘out the back’ trust me it’s cold out there, we were moved after expressing our unhappiness. This time we were put on a table just inside the door, very draughty, luckily we were on the last sitting so apart from people leaving the door didn’t open too frequently. I think our main problem was the close proximity to the dishwasher for the glasses which was in constant use so one of us was enveloped in steam every time the machine was opened and the staff were manhandling large trays of glasses behind us coupled with the coffee machine & the till which was also in constant frantic keying in operation. This table does not give diners a relaxing & enjoyable experience and tbh should not even be there. I booked this table on Jan 9th 2024 for 3 at 8:15, we arrived early as requested. The staff seemed very stressed and we were asked 3 times in quick succession if we wanted to order drinks but when it came to dessert although we did manage to get a menu that was it, we gave up. The whole experience sadly did not make for a relaxing & enjoyable evening, as I said the food is fantastic but that table should not be there. We can only surmise that as we were not ‘regulars’ we would have received the duff table regardless of when we booked. Will we return, probably not.

Really excellent food and good, friendly service

Amazing dinner! We arrived to find that they’d had a last minute cancellation and so it was just the 2 of us for the chef’s table! So Luca cooked us a private meal and chatted to us all evening. (Personally, I wouldn’t have blamed him if he’d squeezed us in downstairs and had himself the evening off!). The food was delicious… we’re still debating which was our favourite dish but we just keep going round in circles. The scallops, the monkfish, the chicken were all just delicious and the wines were all lovely too. Luca said he just likes to make people nice food and he definitely did that! Highly recommend this place and definitely want to come back!

Food nice but had such strong flavours it overwhelmed the main ingredient eg scallops. The beetroot dish was excellent however. Price too high.

The man who served us was really good and friendly, but the manager was rude and unhelpful aswell as the other staff. There was 6 of us and we had been gifted a voucher, as soon as we walked in we were getting glared at by the staff and you could see they were talking about our table. A few people went outside to get some fresh air and accidentally left the door open slightly, the manager came storming over and rudely said "can you shut the door please its cold in here" slamming the door and walking over to his colleagues who were laughing. Once we had finished our meal we still had a large amount of money left over, we asked if we could get the remaining money put on a new voucher to give to one of our friends who couldn't make it, the manager said no its a one time use which I think is very unfair as their was alot of money left. This voucher was gifted to us and we couldn't even use the full money, on the voucher it was never visual or made aware at the start of the meal that we had to use the whole voucher that night.

Excellent restaurant, went for Sunday lunch which was extremely good value. Every dish was incredible. Also had a cocktail (Old Fashioned) which was extremely good, would definitely recommend!!

My wife and I had an unbelievable experience at Chef Luca’s chefs table. Every dish was glorious and paired well with a excellent wine flight. The dishes were perfect portion size and all explained well by Luca. The atmosphere was relaxed and we enjoyed the company of another group of 6 on the table. One of our finest dining experiences to date and I would highly recommend visiting Andria. We can’t wait to come and dine in the restaurant downstairs at some point in the future. Delicious food, each 'small plate' was exceptional. In particular the caramelized sprouts (and I am not a great fan of sprouts) and the celeriac were very interesting and different. Service by Liv and a young man was attentive and they were both very knowledgeable about the dishes. It is a little expensive, but it is worth it. I seem to often be disappointed when eating out recently...but not last night!

We had an absolutely lovely lunch yesterday from the taster menu. The menu and service was impeccable. The food was beautifully presented, the flavours were amazing. We can't wait to come back soon

Andria was a more modern restaurant to what you mightfind Dartmouth around with creative dishes, pleasant service in a nice atmosphere.

Superb restaurant, my husband and I booked on our last night in Dartmouth and the food, service and beautiful setting made a perfect end to our week long Christmas break. The food is on par with some Michelin star restaurants we’ve visited recently, outstanding flavour and the small but perfectly prepared menu made for a really special meal. We’ll definitely be returning

Was recommended this place by a friend and it absolutely did not disappoint. The food was incredible. Every dish unique and full of amazing flavours (the smoked butter was insane) and the feel of the restaurant was perfectly relaxed and unpretentious. Great service throughout from everyone and would love to eat here again. Wines also delicious!

We have been for dinner here once before - and enjoyed it. This time, though, we didn't enjoy our evening and left feeling hungry. A restaurant is about more than just food. Things get off to a bad start with credit card details being taken when booking and a big warning about how much you will be charged (quite a lot) if you fail to show. I know that "no shows" are deeply damaging to restuarants. I have never been a "no show" - but this isn't a great start. Then there is the "only two sittings rule". You can eat at a time to suit them, not you. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told to "perch" on a table but not to get settled. Then the food is cooked in the order in which it appears on the menu. There can be long waits between food - and the latest arrival then goes on to the cold remains of previous food (plates are not changed). The "small plates" are crazily small (maybe two spoonfuls) - and are charged at full main course prices. The bread and butter was nice. I also enjoyed a very small slice of beef, but the rest was OK, nothing more. Just not a nice relaxing evening - the rules get in the way. Clearly I am in the minority - but I have to explain my experience. I won't be back.

Wow. What a remarkable fine dining experience. We went for a family lunch and enjoyed the fabulous six course tasting menu. Dishes to die for, great service and a lovely atmosphere. We will be back as soon as possible.

Tis the one place I go for that special meal once or twice a year. A real treat.

Sadly - nowhere near as expected. Make sure you eat before coming here - or else you will leave still feeling hungry..! We were seated at the sad soul less area at the back of the restaurant - make sure you keep your coat on - it’s freezing cold..! This is meant to be Michelin starred - not sure how. The food is ok’ish. There are far better restaurants in Dartmouth, for far better value. Why else are we frustrated. Shared toilets (male and female) - or should we say shared toilet singular. Absolute no no in our eyes. Long time to get served. VERY small portions - and hence very expensive. We have eaten in restaurants around the world. This is definitely not leading class. No one asked during our meal if everything was ok. Not served on the main what was expected. £18 for two (2) very tiny portions of sliced fillet (£18 per person) …!!!!! We are not food snobs - but - after eating here, we were then looking for a McDonald’s to fill us up… ! We ate the night before in another restaurant in Dartmouth less than 50m away - costing far less, but the food and service was far better. Drinks menu in Andria was also very limited. We hate leaving negative reviews, but for a so called Michelin starred restaurant, we were shocked by the value - or lack of value. Genuinely, and we’re sorry to say this - but look elsewhere if you’re looking for food excellence - plus value for money. Maybe it was because it was winter, and the enthusiasm for the food being cooked and service was at a low end - or maybe we simply went on a particularly bad Saturday night..!

We were lucky enough to have just 2 of us at the Chef's table on a Friday night and wow, if you want an unforgettable culinary evening you have to try the food here. Luca was a fantastic host, keeping the conversation flowing comfortably whilst talking us through his delicious creations. The experience was worth every penny as every plate was beautifully balanced and downright brilliant. We enjoyed the food so much that we returned for Sunday lunch later that weekend and that was just as good! Thank you to Luca and your team for such a lovely experience. We will definitely return.

I have been at Andria’s twice and have been blown away by everything I have ordered. People may look at the prices and think they are expensive but we ended up spending a very similar amount of money (as a 3) at Rockfish (over the road and along a bit) and the quality here was a million times better. 10/10 Sourdough with Smoked Butter 10/10 Kentucky Fried Ling with honey 11/10 Orkney Scallops in Bisque 9/10 Monkfish with citrus 9/10 Purple carrot with Hazelnut 12/10 Angus Fillet of Beef 10/10 Truffle Fries with Parmizan 9/10 Chocolate Mousse

We picked off the small plate menu five different dishes and all of the food was amazing so much so I couldn’t tell you which was my favourite.

My partner and I recently took the day off work for a date day. We looked up places to eat and based our day trip around where the restaurant was, which took us to Andria and therefore Dartmouth. We were not disappointed. We opted for the lunch set menu at £35pp and wow, we were taken to food heaven. Canapes were to die for as well as every single course impeccable which is rare to like every dish given the nature of not being able to pick your options. Had a really lovely dinner here. We were a group of 8, and decided to get the full menu (excluding sides) twice so we could all try a bit of everything. Was really fun going through dish by dish and all tasting together. Some really interesting flavours and combinations used. It's definitely a bit pricier, but worth it for a special occassion!

Very different menu from other tapas style. Flavours were exquisite. 24 hours later we are still discussing which were the best dishes. A reluctant vegetable eater has rated the tender stem broccoli with tahini the best dish! The monkfish, pork, beef, hake,crab, fish of the day ,girolle - all beautiful. One of the party had a shellfish allergy and they dealt with this very efficiently. Really can’t fault it. No photos -too busy enjoying it. Highly recommend

We had an ok meal and enjoyed most dishes, although the monkfish was very disappointing and completely tasteless. Service was ok, although when you do a tasting menu you'd appreciate plates being changed after each dish so you don't mix every sauce and lose the flavours the chef intended for a dish, and also you'd appreciate one dish coming out at one time. The main drawback was value for money. Completely overpriced for the amount and quality of food we had. If the bill had been 50% cheaper we would have not felt so disappointed. It feels like this place tries to be something it's not.

The food was good, but not reflective of the price point. For £15ish per “small plate” i expected something a bit more. The monkfish dish consisted of 90% sliced tomatoes, with only a very very thin slice of fish… maybe the most expensive tomato to ever be served at a restaurant.. However, they do have a great wine list and the staff are friendly…. All in all, a nice meal but not worth the cost

There are some good tastebuds at work in the kitchen here because everything we ate had great, punchy flavours which brought smiles to our faces. Highlights were the black onion seed gnocchi, tranche of plaice and the caramelised white chocolate parfait but I don't think you'd go wrong with anything on this menu. Highly recommended!

(we recently dined at The Angel which did not even come close to the excellence of Andria). The food was truly exceptional, delicious, interesting and beautifully presented. We had reserved weeks in advance but were nevertheless seated in a small back room behind the kitchen with a large window on the washing up area of the kitchen. Obviously not what we had expected from the photos.

Menu described to us as a sharing type arrangement but some of the dishes were difficult to share. Order your own food and it comes at random, as and when it's ready. We did go a bit overboard on the wine but worth a visit.

Starter and desert were excellent as was the wine. A couple of the courses were served with too much sauce. Service was very good.

Always fabulous here. Small delicious plates of food to share. Never a dud one. Please be aware they do one plate of the same food for all the tables, then the next plate, so, if you share you'll be fine, but if you are vegetarian for instance, you may have to wait for tour friends to have their food before you get yours.

Banging roast and the best starters and sides I’ve had for a long time. Team looked after us brilliantly and we’ll be back next time we’re in Dartmouth.

Stunning food. We were a group of 4 so ended up ordering one of all 11 dishes on the menu - which was more than enough (it's small plates and they recommend 3 dishes per person). Everything was delicious, though my favourites were the celeriac, hispi cabbage and the scallops. Staff were lovely too.

Superb, 20 of us went, 20 of us enjoyed every second. Very well organised by Dan and all the staff, two standout dishes for me were the scallops and angus beef, oh what joy they were ! Would absolutely recommend and will be visiting again.

Absoutely incredible food, this is the 2nd time I have visited. Each time I am blown away with the service and detail to experiencing each course. The vegetarian courses I think were the best. Never had Brussel sprouts quite like it!

A lovely setting with friendly and excellent service, wanting you to 'dine in their way', so that the chef can maximise your experience of the local ingredients and fantastic flavour combinations that have been thoughtfully prepared, expertly cooked and beautifully presented. The concept is small sharing plates which worked for me as I could try new foods without having to have alot of something if I didn't take to it. Flavours lovely.

Incredible meal. We loved that we got to enjoy each aspect together and take our time to enjoy the wonderful flavours! We spent 2 hours eating and it was a brilliant experience. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed. Particular highlights were the kentucky fried cod bites, Monkfish with a beautiful jus and somehow the sourdough and butter was out of this world (mainly due to the chargrilled smoked element). Eating out can be an experience taken for granted: you order, you eat, you pay, you leave. Andria ensured that this was a dining experience that was savoured. Ordering a range of plates, we were a little unsure of what was to come but we were not at all disappointed. All elements of every dish were so well executed that every mouthful brought a new taste sensation-flavourful and satisfying: kentucky-fried cod bites; monkfish; smoked butter all paired beautifully with unexpected but delicious flavours. Andria made eating a mindful moment where we shared our love of their food together, enjoying every mouthful-excited for what the next dish would bring. Highly recommended!

The food was amazing, we had 10 plates among 3 people and I can't say there was one I didn't like. I think my favourites were the leeks, the monkfish and the beef. Great service too. There was only a mistake in serving my affogato (was told that server was new and forgot) but of course that did not spoil the great experience.

We had a fantastic Sunday lunch, amazing food and service. A great wine list mainly by the glass allowing us to try different wines.

Exceptional food, delicious, interesting and perfectly balanced. Faultless service, lovely atmosphere. Above all, we loved the concept of sharing a tasting menu. Wine list a little limited / Italian heavy for me, but that certainly wouldn't stop us from coming back.
