If you have ever thought about experiencing the dining at Andria and perhaps felt a bit daunted or unsure....I can reassure you! Harry and the team make you feel very comfortable, you're in good hands. Service was impeccable, food was excellent. I chose to have three small plates and a side of salad. Each and every dish was beautiful, each mouthful bursting with flavours, tastes and textures. The atmosphere is very relaxed and welcoming. A firm favourite of those in our group who have been before, and now I can say the same.

After a journey to Dartmouth that took 3 times longer than it should have, we only just made it to the restaurant in time for our dinner reservation. Thank goodness we did though. The food, service and ambience was exactly what we needed to cheer ourselves up. It was the first time we'd been and I'd advise booking in the evening. The reviews I'd read suggested it was good and I can wholeheartedly agree. This is a small plates restaurant, where you select a variety of dishes from the menu and they turn up in order when they have been freshly prepared. The two of us shared everything and found that we had ordered just the right amount with 6 dishes in total. The food was gorgeous. So tasty. So much thought had gone into the flavours and the cooking was spot on. Service was super. The two people looking after us were great. They were very friendly, attentive and helpful. The wine list is a good one and not excessively pricey. So if you're looking for great food in a relaxed atmosphere cooked by people who care about what they do, then look no further.

We had not planned to visit Dartmouth on this trip until we found out about restaurant "Andria." Head chef Luca is a personable and fab chef who creates outstanding dishes. We stopped for lunch which turned into 2 plus hours of deliciousness. Incredibly creative Luca and his colleagues know how to make deep rich umami flavours. Our starter of scallops sautéed to perfection and the miso roe sauce so yummy you have to mop it up with their fab bread. Each of the following plates were simply heaven. This place is more than worth a detour.

We like the concept of this restaurant, small plates, variety of dishes and indeed, the food we did eat was outstanding. Unfortunately our experience was let down by the service. Our table was pointed out to us, not shown to our table. It was the poorest table in the room, next to the drinks fridge. We requested a couple of cocktails and three of the four snacks. We were then asked straight away what other dishes we were ordering ( 3 or 4 per person is recommended apparently) . We explained we would order after we’d had a drink and had a chance to relax. But chef likes to know what he’s going to cook we were told! Well, it’s my dinner, not chefs, I’ll order what I please thank you. Several times we were asked if we’d made up our minds yet. We ordered 3 dishes and one was so nice we ordered another portion. However, we were so vexed at the nagging we decided we’d rather have a bag of chips on the way home than order any more food here. Clearly deciding we were not going to be their best customers that evening we were pretty much ignored from then on. The food here is lovely, just make sure you look up the menu the day before so you can accommodate the chefs timetable.

I can honestly say the meal I had last night was amazing. I had not booked and was solo dining but that was no problem (normally I am certain booking would be essential). The restaurant is a lovely experience and has a very relaxed atmosphere with a great selection of music at just the right volume. Food is small plates and the recommended 2-3 plates was perfect, I added a side and dessert and small appetiser. Dishes are served in order as they appear on the menu. Each was absolutely delicious and were complemented by a delicious Italian red. Service was friendly and came with great explanations of the dishes.

When Restaurants say times are tough yet their 12 til 2 lunch actually starts at around 1pm and they turn people away, then it's time to stop listening. We arrived at Andria’s after 2pm with dripping raincoats and no reservation. We were warmly welcomed and the service was excellent. We chose the tasting lunch: it was spectacularly good and terrific value for money at £35. You’re given a taster portion of the small plates on offer, a choice of main dish - duck breast or beef fillet when we were there- and a dessert. The small plates included a delicately flavoured scallop, a miniature tomato salad, a spicy arancini ball and a tiny cheese gougère. Everything was beautifully presented and cooked, and the choice between subtly flavoured crème caramel or affagato to finish the meal was a perfect coda to a generous and imaginative menu. It’s no accident that the Michelin team have endorsed this restaurant. The attention to detail and the carefully judged complexity of the food match the standard expected in the best French eateries where you never feel you could have done a better job at home! This was a memorable meal and a great antidote to a (very) rainy day in Dartmouth.

A tastefull experience. The food here is truly delightful, so delicious and beautifully presented, each of the courses was a triumph. Small plates were not as small as other restaurants we've eaten at, which was a pleasant surprise. We did feel the way some of the dishes were delivered wasn't to our personal preference.. we like to dine together and one course coming out later than another seemed unnecessary, given my wife's cold but delicious tomato dish was served after my hot monkfish. Also the setting is v cosy and for the price of the menu we felt somewhat cramped. This took nothing away from the food and wine which were top notch. I'm unsure if we will return given our preferences

We booked three seats at the chef’s table for a family birthday treat. At the end we all agreed it was one of the best nights out we’d had in ages. The table seats eight and we shared it with four others who were down for the regatta weekend. Luca was there to welcome us and start the meal with a glass of fiz. From the off the atmosphere was perfect, not stuffy or hands off, but as if you were eating with friends. The food was amazing. Sublime scallops, duck, beef (Lucas take on McDs is amazing), monkfish with an incredible chicken sauce and as for the focaccia … O M G. Our lad went for the wine flight which was well thought out, generous and worth it. We also took a bottle of Californian chardonnay from the list. This was great and it’s nice to see something punchy on the menu as opposed to boring overpriced Chablis. But the evening was made by Luca and his sous chef Rosti(?). They were such fun and made ever effort to engage with us. What a great night, didn’t even mind walking all the way home to Brixham .. regatta weekend penalty.

We had a disappointing experience during our visit. The quality of service and food did not meet our expectations. Despite generous portions, the amount of food served was ridiculously small and the prices were exorbitant. There were four of us at the table – me, my wife and our two children. The kids' fish and chips were served relatively quickly (a simple dish, though), but after that the wait was interminable. Our dishes took an additional 20 minutes to arrive. When my wife's finally arrived, I had to wait another 20 minutes to receive mine! So when I was finally served, my wife had already finished her meal. To top it all off, my fish was cold. The second dish, a kind of mushroom soup, was so sweet that it was cloying. The dishes were presented on enormous plates, which further accentuated the small portions. Overall, this experience was extremely frustrating and definitely not worth the high price we paid. There are clearly improvements to be made, both in terms of service and the quality and quantity of dishes.

We are regular visitors to Andria and are always impressed with the creativity, there’s always something new and interesting each time we visit. This time XI prawn was stunning, the beef filet was also very good indeed and the fungi was exceptional. We have eagerly followed the journey of Andria for a while and were so pleased to finally visit - it completely exceeded all expectations! The food was excellent, exceptional quality and well thought out plates. The experience was one we won't forget for a long time, neither the delicious scallops! Being a Brixham girl myself, you certainly did them proud! The restaurant itself is quite intimate so the spacing for my wheelchair was limited, however all of the staff ensured that my experience was the same as everyone elses. The restaurant is also level access from the pavement level so no additional ramps required for wheelchair users. We already can't wait to return.

We visited the restaurant on the recommendation of our Airbnb hosts. It got off to a good start when I was offered a separate vegetarian menu with a decent choice. I had the cabbage, aubergine and new potatoes whilst my OH went with the arancini, fungi, scallops and fries. Each dish was nice, but the overall effect was very rich and we both felt we needed some veg to lighten and provide a contrast. This put my review into 4* mode but the dessert took it down to a 3*. We were told the cream tea strawberry included crumbled scone and meringue - we envisioned a sort of refined Elton mess. It tasted ok but was tiny, 2 mouthfuls at most. I know in refined restaurants you don't expect big portions but this was not even 2 strawberries, and the scone was a bit of decoration which we wouldn't have spotted had we not been told it was there. We so wanted to love this restaurant but sadly it was not to be.

We had a wonderful evening at Andria. We were a party of six, three couples and shared plates per couple to try as many dishes as possible and also to account for the slightly unusual order in which the food comes out. The chefs start preparing the first dish on the menu and then work their way down the menu. Your dish comes when it is ready. We had six plates per couple and this was more than ample. The food is creative, delicious and very well presented. We can recommend this wholeheartedly, an unexpected find in Dartmouth. Our total including several glasses of wine came to around £70 p.P.

My daughter ate most of the aubergine before I got a taste. I can't fault a single dish. Best seaside restaurant I've been to for a long time. We'd high expectations of Andria given the recommendations from locals. They were met and exceeded. This is Michelin Star quality at local prices. A lovely warm atmosphere with lots of (rightfully) happy guests in a smallish intimate space is a nice start but the food delivered better than expected treats on every course. For just £39 on the set menu we had tasty amuse bouches, superb scallops with fermented carrot, , heritage tomato, smooth as silk chicken confit (truffle fries extra, as well as a change to beef for my main) and delicious desserts. Do not miss the incredible smoked butter with the bread - just fab (and hard to resist indulgently dipping truffle fries into - deliciously naughty!). We wanted to go back but we'd already booked elsewhere the following evening. Too busy eating to take photos. A must do on any trip to Dartmouth!

A lovely restaurant, with friendly staff and really tasty food. Besides the multi-course tasting menu, it offers a 'small plates' menu, which are starter sized. We chose the small plates menu, and it certainly lived up to its name. For example, in every quality restaurant I have been in and ordered scallops (as a starter, not a main), I have been served 3 scallops, whereas here it was 2. The other 3 small dishes ordered were equally modest in size. Very tasty, but I felt not quite enough there for 13 to 17 pounds each, hence 4 stars not the full 5... a bit like the portions.

We’ve been to Andria before & we were keen to take a good friend there, maybe Good Friday wasn’t the best choice. The food continues to be fantastic but the general experience sadly did not stand up to scrutiny. The first time we went we were seated ‘out the back’ trust me it’s cold out there, we were moved after expressing our unhappiness. This time we were put on a table just inside the door, very draughty, luckily we were on the last sitting so apart from people leaving the door didn’t open too frequently. I think our main problem was the close proximity to the dishwasher for the glasses which was in constant use so one of us was enveloped in steam every time the machine was opened and the staff were manhandling large trays of glasses behind us coupled with the coffee machine & the till which was also in constant frantic keying in operation. This table does not give diners a relaxing & enjoyable experience and tbh should not even be there. I booked this table on Jan 9th 2024 for 3 at 8:15, we arrived early as requested. The staff seemed very stressed and we were asked 3 times in quick succession if we wanted to order drinks but when it came to dessert although we did manage to get a menu that was it, we gave up. The whole experience sadly did not make for a relaxing & enjoyable evening, as I said the food is fantastic but that table should not be there. We can only surmise that as we were not ‘regulars’ we would have received the duff table regardless of when we booked. Will we return, probably not.

There was 6 of us and we had been gifted a voucher, as soon as we walked in we were getting glared at by the staff and you could see they were talking about our table. A few people went outside to get some fresh air and accidentally left the door open slightly, the manager came storming over and rudely said "can you shut the door please its cold in here" slamming the door and walking over to his colleagues who were laughing. Once we had finished our meal we still had a large amount of money left over, we asked if we could get the remaining money put on a new voucher to give to one of our friends who couldn't make it, the manager said no its a one time use which I think is very unfair as their was alot of money left. This voucher was gifted to us and we couldn't even use the full money, on the voucher it was never visual or made aware at the start of the meal that we had to use the whole voucher that night.

Andria was a more modern restaurant to what you mightfind Dartmouth around with creative dishes, pleasant service in a nice atmosphere.

Superb restaurant, my husband and I booked on our last night in Dartmouth and the food, service and beautiful setting made a perfect end to our week long Christmas break. The food is on par with some Michelin star restaurants we’ve visited recently, outstanding flavour and the small but perfectly prepared menu made for a really special meal. We’ll definitely be returning

Was recommended this place by a friend and it absolutely did not disappoint. The food was incredible. Every dish unique and full of amazing flavours (the smoked butter was insane) and the feel of the restaurant was perfectly relaxed and unpretentious. Great service throughout from everyone and would love to eat here again. Wines also delicious!

We have been for dinner here once before - and enjoyed it. This time, though, we didn't enjoy our evening and left feeling hungry. A restaurant is about more than just food. Things get off to a bad start with credit card details being taken when booking and a big warning about how much you will be charged (quite a lot) if you fail to show. I know that "no shows" are deeply damaging to restuarants. I have never been a "no show" - but this isn't a great start. Then there is the "only two sittings rule". You can eat at a time to suit them, not you. We arrived 10 minutes early and were told to "perch" on a table but not to get settled. Then the food is cooked in the order in which it appears on the menu. There can be long waits between food - and the latest arrival then goes on to the cold remains of previous food (plates are not changed). The "small plates" are crazily small (maybe two spoonfuls) - and are charged at full main course prices. The bread and butter was nice. I also enjoyed a very small slice of beef, but the rest was OK, nothing more. Just not a nice relaxing evening - the rules get in the way. Clearly I am in the minority - but I have to explain my experience. I won't be back.

Sadly - nowhere near as expected. Make sure you eat before coming here - or else you will leave still feeling hungry..! We were seated at the sad soul less area at the back of the restaurant - make sure you keep your coat on - it’s freezing cold..! This is meant to be Michelin starred - not sure how. The food is ok’ish. There are far better restaurants in Dartmouth, for far better value. Why else are we frustrated. Shared toilets (male and female) - or should we say shared toilet singular. Absolute no no in our eyes. Long time to get served. VERY small portions - and hence very expensive. We have eaten in restaurants around the world. This is definitely not leading class. No one asked during our meal if everything was ok. Not served on the main what was expected. £18 for two (2) very tiny portions of sliced fillet (£18 per person) …!!!!! We are not food snobs - but - after eating here, we were then looking for a McDonald’s to fill us up… ! We ate the night before in another restaurant in Dartmouth less than 50m away - costing far less, but the food and service was far better. Drinks menu in Andria was also very limited. We hate leaving negative reviews, but for a so called Michelin starred restaurant, we were shocked by the value - or lack of value. Genuinely, and we’re sorry to say this - but look elsewhere if you’re looking for food excellence - plus value for money. Maybe it was because it was winter, and the enthusiasm for the food being cooked and service was at a low end - or maybe we simply went on a particularly bad Saturday night..!

We were lucky enough to have just 2 of us at the Chef's table on a Friday night and wow, if you want an unforgettable culinary evening you have to try the food here. Luca was a fantastic host, keeping the conversation flowing comfortably whilst talking us through his delicious creations. The experience was worth every penny as every plate was beautifully balanced and downright brilliant. We enjoyed the food so much that we returned for Sunday lunch later that weekend and that was just as good! Thank you to Luca and your team for such a lovely experience. We will definitely return.

My partner and I recently took the day off work for a date day. We looked up places to eat and based our day trip around where the restaurant was, which took us to Andria and therefore Dartmouth. We were not disappointed. We opted for the lunch set menu at £35pp and wow, we were taken to food heaven. Canapes were to die for as well as every single course impeccable which is rare to like every dish given the nature of not being able to pick your options. We can't wait to go back soon with our families. Fantastic service as well by the manager. Thanks for a great day off, Andria team.

Our recent dining experience at Andria was nothing short of spectacular. The culinary prowess on display was evident in each meticulously crafted dish we sampled. Starting with the tantalizing arancini and cured monkfish, we were treated to a parade of flavors and textures that dazzled our taste buds. The aubergine and scallops showcased the chef's creativity and expertise, while the sourdough bread provided a rustic and comforting touch. The Caesar salad was a refreshing interlude, and the smoked mash was a delightful revelation. Every plate at Andria is a testament to the art of cooking, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an unforgettable gastronomic adventure.

I rarely review but this is one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to, whether Devon or London. Excellent fresh local produce and generous service (you get delicious complementary starters and petit fours). A must go if you want to experience the best of food around here.

Jackie and Jeremy are exceptional hosts who made us feel almost part of the family. I have a painful back condition, so I particularly liked the very comfortable beds in a very pleasant room. We had delicious fat free cooked breakfasts with lots of choice of fruit and cereals, etc. The Farm is situated in a very scenic part of Devon, just 1 1/2 miles from Kingsbridge. Do try this B & B - you will not be disappointed!

New to the area and went to see what the pub was like and a game of pool with the son. It's nice to see old pubs like this still but was empty , under 12s can't use pool table and parking is a little tight.
