Tasty food. Friendly service. Beautiful decorations. I highly recommend it.

The food was excellent, great value for money. I had the cullen skink as a starter, then the duck breast in a jus, both were very tasty. The only downside was the dining room i was in, a little plain, not cosy or atmospheric, but i don’t think i was in the main dining area, but it wouldn’t stop me from returning, the food was good and the staff professional and friendly.

What a delicious bagel and wonderful coffee! You guys should do soup as well! It would really work with the great set up you have here! 10/10 would recommend!

Very slow delivery service, food arrived almost cold. We were advised delivery would be 6.25 to 6.45 eventually arrived at 7.00. When sat down to eat the food was almost cold. Fortunately we have a hostess heated tray . The food tasted good as we had expected over the past 11 years that we have had and reviewed 5 stars in the past but not tonight, only one star. We have submitted highly rated reviews in the past and we are sorry to be submitting a poor review tonight. THIS IS NOT YOUR USUAL STANDARD. PLEASE DON'T LET YOUR REPUTATION SLIP.

Absolutely superb lunch, the quality of the food was on a par with Michelin starred meals we’ve had in the past. Seasonal and fresh produce Friendly and professional staff. Fabulous - thank you Summer Lodge.

Booked a table ages ago to celebrate a friends ‘special’ birthday which meant that our lunch was very much looked forward to, mainly because I have been a few times before & the food is always excellent. If this review was based on the food alone then it would have been five stars. Sadly and very disappointingly our much anticipated celebration was spoiled from the outset by the less than welcoming greeting, from not one, but two members of staff. One of them rather worryingly appeared to be front of house. Not even a smile…… Neither the FOH guy nor our waiter was remotely interested in explaining the menu, recommending/describing any of the dishes (despite my attempt to engage him in a conversation along these lines). Our orders were taken with zero interaction from our waiter beyond him standing at the end of our table with a solemn look on his face. I’m not going to go into what we actually ate, mainly because my memory of the day does not go past these two miseries…….maybe they had both just got out of bed the wrong side….not the job to be in if one wears one’s mood!!

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience at this coffee shop. I ordered a latte and a mocha, both of which went straight to the trash. The drinks were completely watery, with barely any coffee in them. When I raised my concerns with the staff, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude. To make things worse, they still charged me for those undrinkable coffees. The pastries and food items looked old and possibly expired. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone.

Good atmosphere for football. Landlord puts on good snacks for half time.

Absolutely bloody awful! Dreadful food and then a rotten atmosphere after we complained. We ordered mussels, they arrived very obviously off. A real health hazard. No show from the ‘chef’. The poor waitress having to serve substandard fare. However, she needs much more training if she’s to be customer-facing. Very, very slow service and half the things missing from the menu. Shocking deterioration in a place that used to be fabulous. North Uist deserves better.

Horrible place , we were forced to rush our meal as they had table reservation which nobody told us when we were choosing a table, How rude.

Very disappointing, the dishes were just not up to what I would expect from somewhere like this. Many less expensive restaurants in the area provide much better quality of food. I did complain but was told no one else had complained before, then i read on line some complaining about exactly the same dish i had. No wonder the restaurant was only half full on a busy friday night.

My pancake stack was amazing & so tasty 😋. My friend's raspberry scone was packed full of raspberries. Very friendly & helpful staff. Definitely recommend trying out the place.
