Amazing venue, very chilled great food and music and amazing service

Last minute on a Saturday night I searched for live jazz music in London and I found Room 43. Low key place, great jazz music, fantastic food ( best lamb chops I ever had !) and cocktails!. It was way better than what we expected.

Cool atmosphere at this bar with live music. There was a three-man jazz band when we went in to have a beer and the musicians were really good. Cool vibes, nice waiters and simple décor. The only con is that the music was really loud so it was hard to have a conversation beyond the person right next to you. But we will be back to grab a bite as the persian food in the tables around us looked great!

I regularly perform in the jazz trio here at Room 43. I look forward to this gig every week, not just because I love playing music, and enjoying the food and drinks, but because it is like home from home: the friendliest, most dedicated bunch running the show you could ever imagine; all are really passionate about providing the best service and experience to customers and it is an honour to be part of the Room 43 family. Whoever I recommend this place to always return once they have savoured the atmosphere.

Had my 42 birthday party in Room 43 and it was really amazing!! Incredible crew, beautiful place and amazing food and cocktails. We had a magic night! The communication before the event was clear and quick thanks to Aghil. They were very flexible, even I hired my own musician. The day of the party everything was prepared as we agreed. They are very kind and the venue is perfect for a private party or to enjoy a dinner with some cocktails and jazz. Highly recommended!!

We came here for a family birthday meal. The atmosphere is fab, really enjoyed the live jazz! Food was a mixed bag, the chicken skewers were lacking but the lamb was delicious!

I visited this restaurant for my sister's birthday recently. Although Decor isn't fantastic, the staff, music and food definitely are!!! The staff, although they seem new to the restaurant business, they were very friendly, professional, and helpful. There was live Jazz music which was pleasant and unobtrusive. The food was delicious, with good size portions, and served in a very timely fashion, which is always appreciated. Drinks were a bit pricey ( which is saying something as I live near quite expensive bars in Clapham) but the cocktails are made to lethal perfection.😁🥰 Apparently there is also a comedy night, so may have to check it out another time. If you are in the area and would like to enjoy good food, in a relaxed atmosphere drop in and enjoy. ❤

Very cold inside, no heating. When I phoned up, I was told music would start at 6.30pm but when we turned up we were told music actually starts at 7.30/8pm.

Really good Iranian food, cool atmosphere and interesting cocktails. I’ve been to a lot of Iranian restaurants and this place manages to have really authentic food in a contemporary setting.

Great venue for a wedding party. Andrew and the team were friendly and responsive, nothing too much trouble. Delicious food served throughout the night. Relaxed vibe perfect for the occasion. Would highly recommend.

Celebrated my 30th here and had a fabulous time - took over the whole venue for the night and had the freedom to do whatever i liked - the whole team, especially Amirali were amazing making us cocktails and drinks all night and bringing round food! Wish i could do it all over again :-)!

I recently held a reception for my babies baptism here, as it was a short walk from the church. I am so happy I did. We had an exclusive day hire with a minimum spend. The food was exceptional. We had such a lovely feedback from all of our guests. The venue was so nice it didn’t need a lot of dressing. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a private event or even just for dinner. Huge thank you to the staff who were helpful, friendly and made our day extra special.

We found this place on line and thought we’d give it a visit, OMG, great place, Outside seating, nice lighting, great atmosphere, super friendly staff 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Cocktails were AMAZING 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We only went for Drinks but the Food looked Delicious. Can’t wait to return ( this time for food as well ) Easy parking off side roads and free after 5.30pm. Nice little intimate bar with live jazz. The food could have had a bit more seasoning and spice and slightly larger portion on the skewers but overall a nice experience.

Really nice place to go for food or drinks. They have an outdoors bit on the front which is pleasant too with a sofa if you're lucky. It's shaded, well lit and covered. Food looked great but we went for drinks which was a bit pricey, felt like cocktail prices for spirit mixers but maybe that's a sign of the times. Nice touches throughout, eg lighting outside, book shelves and toiletries in the bathroom.

This place is my local. Ben makes the best cocktails and in particular Margaritas in London. Further the food is really tasty as well. Highly recommend!

The best Persian food which I ever had in my life , brilliant staff and nice jazz.

The live jazz was exceptional so definitely go there to check that out but the food was very average and definitely not a 4.7 worthy experience (this rating was why decided to eat dinner there instead of somewhere else so we were very disappointed by the quality). The portions were tiny for the price and they served the entrees and the mains all together on the same plate. I would rate the food a 3.8 maximum. We had calamari which was really tough and the bread served was toasted but stale. Cocktails were very weak and not really worth their £10 + price tag. Definitely worth a visit for the live music but I'd eat elsewhere first.

We ordered The Mix Grill, The food came very quick, it amazed us. It was so beautiful and well made but unfortunately we were not happy with the service from the front house staff. Would definitely come back for the food but we were displeased by certain members of staff.

Low-key, high quality. Delicious food at very reasonable prices and fantastic cocktails. Ale on tap and good wine. Attentive service, live jazz, comedy nights, outdoor seating with heaters. Late service on the weekend. What’s not to like?

Had the most lovely evening here, the service was excellent, food delicious and cocktails extremely tasty!!! The waiters were very friendly and made our dinner there so special! Would very much recommend, the vegetarian menu for two was the perfect amount and all came so quickly!

Very poor service, took over an hour and a half for the food then had the cheek to add a service charge. The cocktails also took over 20 minutes to arrive

We had a lovely Sunday evening at Room 43. Great service, delicious food and wine, amazing array of cocktails. Add live music to that and we felt we'd found a real gem in London that didn't break the bank. We'll be back.

Slightly disappointed. The set menu(£40 meat one) is in a very small portion, and definitely not enough for two persons as they stated on the menu. I would recommend to order separately instead of the set menu. Food is average. I was attracted by Jazz performance and high Google reviews score. On their website, it was more of a live house style, a musician was singing "Summer time". When booking, it requires credit card detail and has a minimum spend of £30 per head requirement, all made me feel this will be a very good Jazz night. However, on the day, there was only 3 college student like musicians dressed way too casually (geek style) playing(drum, guitar, bass). Music was alright, but it is not what they advertised on the website. In between, the musicians took a very long break before playing again. Cocktails are good, beer selection is limited, only one or two draught beer to choose from, but the beer tastes alright. Overall, it is an alright place to have some cocktail, but don't expect too much from the Jazz night and high Google review score. Price is average for a brief night out.

Had a very nice meal here. Cocktails and music were great. Food was lovely - between two we ordered a salad, three dishes, a dip and french fries. That was the perfect amount of food. The mango and lentil salad was probably our favourite and I'd recommend it. The moussaka wasn't the traditional layered Greek-style moussaka we were expecting, but more a stew of chickpeas, peppers and aubergines. I assume this was a regional variation of it and it was still delicious! It was around £80 for the five dishes, two drinks, a bottle of wine and coffee. A few very slight downsides: The man next to us would not stop drumming on the table with his cutlery which was incredibly annoying. I don't think he and his wife said a word to each other all evening - don't blame her. This is of course not the restaurant's fault! I might have expected a nicer pitta bread rather than the basic supermarket variety that came with our meal. Service was very pleasant but the restaurant was full and it had just two very busy waiters who were (understandably) hard to get hold of. We had to ask to place our order and each time we wanted anything else. Overall though I'd definitely recommend a visit and would happily return.

A super friendly and lovely home cooked Iranian food. The salad with pomegranate was so tasty. My daughter lives around the corner and so luck to have such a fab venue. The Comedy night they had looked good but not a big crowd unfortunately but it was raining

Justin was one of the best servers available. The food was unique, fresh, and delicious. The chef knows how to make his customers happy. Without a doubt, I recommend it.

Ok, the food, the VIBES, the friendly staff. I'mma keep if short and sweet here but google need to allow us to give more stars where we want to because this place deserves it! Only took away food but i need to come back on a weekend for the jazz music nights and eat in. I was absorbing the music whilst waiting and was just in a good mood the whole time! Shout out to the band! Never had persian food before but I need to try more of the menu!

Really good cocktails and jazz music. Unfortunately the food was not good at all - quite dry meat and bitter stews. We had a two hour booking and they constantly reminded us that it was two hours long and even put the bill down before we asked for it or had a chance to order dessert or cocktails. Twenty minutes before our booking ended they told us again that we needed to finish up and leave now. So we literally downed our drinks and left. Note: the booking was under a different name to the one in the review as my partner made the booking so not sure how they've got a copy of the receipt.

Highly recommended- Great live jazz, Persian food and service Wonderful local restaurant in Battersea / Clapham. Nice ambiance especially with the live jazz. Food is very good across the menu but the falafel needs improvement - a bit dry, probably due to the donut shape. Chicken skewers need a bit more flavour. Wine is great. Highly recommend the French Malbec. The Persian Rose cocktail is great. The Maitre D is very helpful, friendly and has great suggestions. Online booking system & website needs some improving.

Funky place, lively atmosphere with stand up comedy Wednesday nights and live Jazz on Fri-Sunday. Cocktails are awesome, we loved Saffron Trace and Lavashak, both with a Persian twist. Food is also delicious, small portion for the price but nice. You can book the venue for personal ceremonies, make sure you call before you drop by, might be booked!

What a fantastic bar in the heart of Battersea! Food is excellent and really reasonably priced.. The cocktails are absolutely on point. They have taken every covid precaution possible, the atmosphere is wonderful, and then the biggest selling point, the staff! Cristian and team are amazing, extremely warm, v attentive, you can just tell everyone loves doing what they do here! Highly recommend a visit, and then repeating that visit over and over until you have had every cocktail and every item on the menu.. Then you can start at the beginning again 🥂 😂

Great yummy food. I echo what others have said the service is amazing. We went on a Saturday lunch time and it was very quiet. Think you get a better atmosphere in the evening when live music is on. But overall great experience and would recommend!

Amazing food (the chicken skewers and the okra were the best) and lovely atmosphere. Went with my boyfriend on Valentines Day and we had a mix of comedy and jazz music. Very cosy and lots of fun! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back
