Bar And Co in Camden

Great friendly place. Full of locals, you could be in a cafe in Porto here...The francescinahs are amazing! Not shown on the menu so you need to ask for them.

So... I've read the reviews here and got very excited about it...thing is I got there with my husband at 5.30pm for a francesinha and they told me:"we close at 7pm'. So... I don't know how the francesinha is but the customer service is incredibly awful.

I tried a Francesinha once before from its home town of Porto, Portugal and all I can say that the one I had at Bar & Co in Camden did not disappoint. It was just perfect. Nice little family run restaurant.

I grow up in Porto, and almost as everybody who grow up in Porto my favourite tradicional dish is francesinha. So I decided to show to my friend what is a francesinha, of course is not really possible to find in England something exactly the same as in Porto, as the taste of water and some ingredients is quite difficult to find, what provide quite different taste of sauce. However, this guys doing one of the best francesinhas in London, that’s taste almost same as in Porto, if you want to try real one, I would definitely recommend you go to Portugal, but if you aiming about to spend £15, including a francesinha, beer and expresso, this place is a perfect choice.

Hello, I've been to Bar & Co several times. The food is great and the prices are very affordable ! £10 for a dish in London is a great price. Even with dessert and drinks included you end up paying less than £20 !

I am extremely happy with my experience today. There's no point in going to other more expensive and lower quality restaurants where you are not getting the genuine typical small café-like environment... and above everything, the most important thing is that here you will taste a true and well-garnished Francesinha (guess what? including a large plate of french fries and, of course, a fried egg!) composed of very good quality meat, for a complete bargain price (Porto-like). Besides this, you can hear a lot of local folks talking in portuguese and have an excellent nata for dessert (also, portuguese channels are playing on TV...). All this for 25gbp (2 people). Can you ask for better in London? surely not!
