We took our children (10 and 12) for a special treat after a trip to the theatre. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. The decor in the terrace is very pretty and it was lovely and cosy, despite being wet and windy outside. Would definitely recommend for a special treat.

We loved coming to your beautiful restaurant. It is a really stunning and unique setting and the hotel overall was so lovely to walk through. Our waitress Emma was very friendly and we thought that the food was delicious. Will definitely come back.

We had booked Dalloway Terrace for Mother's Day, and walked away VERY underwhelmed. The service was extremely slow (despite it not being full), the waiters weren't flexible with the menu (they didn't allow mum to pick a dish from the Mother's Day menu and one from the usual menu - I would class this as a "won't " not "can't"), the food was average and bland. All of this and the menu wasn't cheap...

Amazing lunch - food was delicious and service tip top!

Afternoon tea. Overall the ambience, food and service were fantastic. The egg & truffle followed by the smoked salmon sandwiches in particular, were outstanding. All the beautifully presented sweet items and lovely fresh warm scones and homemade jam were fabulous. The tea selection was great (we had Chai). Perrier Jouet a wonderful choice for the served champagne. All the staff we came in contact with were super helpful and professional. The toilets were clean and delightful. Thanks again.

Went here to celebrate my mom’s birthday was loved it! Tucked away behind Tottenham Court Road, it makes for a wonderful day out! The environment, staff and food were all lovely! Definitely recommend for any special occasions or just a nice day out!

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit / afternoon tea and thought the scones in particular were excellent! The extra round of sandwiches and the gorgeous teddy bear for our baby girl were also hugely appreciated! The staff were very friendly and attentive and we’d love to come back one day! Thank you!

Both Dalloway Terrace and Coral room as part of the Bloomsbury Hotel are hidden gems just off of Tottenham Court Road. Well recommended for a night out.

Right in the center of London, this restaurant has a special atmosphere, they decorate the place according to the seasons with flowers. We ate well there. Attention ! There is a tip included in the bill in % (I think 15%). Do not be surprised. The menu is also changing, there were many vegetarian dishes.

Went for the pre Theatre menu. It was great value for money and included a glass of bubbles. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. Shukran and Sephora were wonderful hosts and added to the ambience. p.s ladies Little Big Things is an absolute must see!

A wonderful visit to the Dalloway Terrace on Saturday evening. Shutran & Lucian looked after all 7 of us expertly. Delicious menu & super atmosphere. Drinks in the Coral Bar before, location close to theatres etc. Thankyou we will return.

Unfortunately we attended Dalloway Terrace over the festive period prior to myself leaving for Australia. It was my last meal as a family, and after attending Dalloway Terrace for the last 3 years we were excited to return. At the time of dining a Christmas party was in full swing in the room next to the terrace which we could hear but didn’t initially think this was a problem. We seated for dining and waited 35 minutes for a drink, one of which never came (beer by bottle) and we had to chase twice. The food was delicious as always however we had to find staff if we needed anything as not once did anyone come to the table. The bill came without asking and a card machine to which we asked for the service charge to be removed due to us expressing our disappointment at the service, the bill was taken away and then returned at a higher amount than initially given. When questioned the staff member mentioned that the bill had initially been calculated wrong so was recalculated without service charge but the tone at which this delivered was extremely rude. We subsequently paid and left, but absolutely wouldn’t return again. It seems the priority is with the events in the hotel rather than the terrace, even from the usual winter decorations which were unfortunately not up. This review is delayed due to me leaving for Australia however to say this was my last evening in the UK I was keen to write a review to prevent others having a similar experience.

Very beautiful setting. We sat on the patio on a January afternoon. Well heated and offered blankets. Very very dog friendly. The terrace food menu could be more.. limited choice. forgot to take food pictures 😇

Very nice restaurant with good food

We came for dinner with my husband and we spent a wonderful evening for his birthday. The place is absolutely charming, the service was perfect (kind, attentive and professional), the meals tasted really good (from starters to dessert, flawless) and the special attention for the birthday note at the dessert was adorable. I highly recomend this restaurant and would 100% come back.

A beautiful venue which was complimented by wonderful staff and food. I was greeted and helped from the time I entered the hotel lobby till the time I left. We ate spelt risotto, chocolate dessert and fig and ricotta cheesecake.. the mocktails and cocktails were also delicious. I would certainly return. A great location in the centre of town too

We went for brunch to Dalloway Terrace. The food is delicious and reasonably priced for London. The ambience is stunning!! The service was good. Will definitely want to go back for the afternoon tea.

A bit cold on the terrace in winter, other than that it was great! The scones and the sandwiches were perfect, the cakes a bit too sugary for my taste.

First course shrimp- flavorless and overcooked. Ribeye entree for two- apparently sous vide. One does not order a ribeye hoping for no fat. All the fat had been cut off by the kitchen. The steak was bland and had a boiled texture. The so called bearnaise had thick mayo texture. Atrocious. Terrible food. Then our waiter disappeared after entrees were served and the remainder of the experience was handled by the busser. Not a good experience.

This was my 3rd time visiting and every time I'm impressed with the quality of the service - from the very start of my visit, to the very end. Anastasia welcomed us with the biggest smile and instantly made our entry more positive, she also helped us with some recommendations from the menu which were delicious. Then we were in the reliable hands of Elena who made sure we had everything needed and even treated us with a complimentary drink - Virgin Prosecco or call it TEA WITH BUBBLES, it's a must have especially if you don't want to drink alcohol but still want the essence of a bubbly glass in your hands. The food was really good and I'm always impressed with the whole package you get at Dalloway: Instagrammable deco, friendly welcoming faces and quality food. I saw a lady doing a solo dinner treat for herself, which I found very cute - So until next time, on my first solo dinning trial.

So glad we managed to secure our booking here so that we could finally try it out during the Xmas season. Beautiful interior, not only in the dining area, but also around the bar, toilets, hallways, brought down to every detail👌🏻 Diverse menu, offering a bit of everything. Every plate we chose was delicious and very well seasoned. Yummy desserts were just a great finish to our Christmas dinner🤤 Extremely nice and professional staff👍

I came here specifically for the holiday decor as past years’ decor looked quite nice from IG photos. This was the restaurant I was looking most forward to going to and I flew all the way from Toronto, Canada. When I got there, the decor looked tired and not photogenic. The leaves were dried up and looked faded and lifeless and the arrangement of them was very unappealing to the eye. The food was absurdly expensive and the bill came out to be around $68 Canadian. I had a hard time choosing from the bland menu. I could eat a very filling and delicious multi-course Chinese meal with that amount of money! I got the crab linguine which had tiny crab scraps and nothing else. It was not a nutritious dish. I couldn’t really see or taste much crab. And I got a winter roots vegetable salad which was ok, but it was very small and had some sour roots vegetables that I didn’t like. I tried to take as many photos as I could but none of them turned out well. It was a very disappointing experience with an expensive bill and subpar decor.

I would say this place is worth visiting more for the setting/atmosphere than the food. Had brunch so can't speak to the rest of the menu, but the dishes weren't exceptional for the prices paid. Place is really pretty though! Service was kind.

Cosy looking place although a massive draft was coming through and made it freezing. Menu is more appealing than the food. Food was bland and needed basic seasoning like salt. Definitely overrated place.

Stopped here for afternoon tea on my trip to London, and I was not disappointed! The terrace was beautifully decorated, and the food was really good. I was definitely full at the end of the tea, and their tea choices were delicious!

We went to the Dalloway Terrace for Afternoon Tea after heavily researching all of the available ones in London. Although I enjoyed the experience, I couldn't help but feel it was a little lacklustre. The sandwiches were fine, the tea was fine, and the cakes were fine. It was a pleasant atmosphere, albeit it a little cold and a little quiet. We were served by two waiters, one was quiet, serious and distracted, but the other was very lively, and was probably one of the better aspects of the tea. Nothing here was bad, but nothing was that good, it was just fine. Had I paid £20 each for this, I would give it 5 stars, but considering afternoon tea for two came to ~£120 it did not feel worth it.

Lovely place for an afternoon tea.

One of my favourite places in London for high tea. The terrace is beautiful and has a lot of fresh plants. Service is top notch and the food is great as well! The hotel itself is also beautiful, check out the pink bar as well.

Our first stop in London and we were so pleased with our experience! We got the afternoon tea set and were absolutely filled by the end of it. The sandwiches were all perfect, and the sweets were super well balanced (also very accommodating of any allergies). Our servers were absolutely lovely and super attentive, will definitely be here again on our next trip!

It used to be BY FAR my favourite brunch spot in London. Great menu with lots of delicious options, good portions, good value for money, amazing atmosphere. Unfortunately since the pandemic, it has really gone downhill. Menu has shrunk substantially, quality has dropped off a cliff, and prices have increased dramatically. I still go from time to time, but it's not the same. Truly sad.

I had a bad experience at this restaurant. First of all, they had a new menu, and when I asked about their recommended dish, the staff didn't have a clue. It seems like they had either just started working there or simply hadn't bothered to familiarize themselves with the new menu. I decided to order the risotto, which is typically made from rice. However, what they served me was some kind of barley equivalent that tasted awful. It had a burnt flavor to it, and the cheese on top was overcooked and tasted terrible as well. To make matters worse, I had to wait for what felt like an eternity just to get someone's attention to ask for the bill. It seemed like there was never anyone in the room when I needed service. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the decor is pretty. But pretty decor can't make up for the terrible food, clueless staff, and overall disappointing experience. I won't be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

This is the 3rd time I’ve come to the Dalloway Terrace and each time my experience has been lovely. Today we were there to celebrate 3 family members Birthdays’ and our whole party of 10 really enjoyed the afternoon tea experience. As always, wonderful ambience, delicious food and wonderful service by our server Sephora; as well as Sara and Andrei. Thank you very much!

I would give the service six stars if I could, we were looked after so well on our wedding anniversary. Food was great and beautifully presented, all in all this was a wonderful way to mark a special occasion. Thanks to everyone at the Dalloway Terrace.

We arranged our post-wedding meal at the Dalloway Terrace as we wanted a small, intimate and beautiful restaurant venue. The Dalloway Terrace ticked all the boxes. The service we received whilst planning the meal, and on the day, was fantastic and all of our guests commented on how good the food was. Highly recommend!

Professional and friendly staff, great food and a wonderful restaurant. We will be back.

Last dines here in July 2021 My favourite go-to place when I want to have a fancy brunch, lunch or dinner but minus the fake, pretentious atomsphere. The place is beautiful and that lovely flower wall is updated seasonly so you’re in for a treat if you come at different times during the year. (Check out my photos when I went last summer and spring!) Even though the place looks expensive, the prices are relatively decent. When I had the brunch menu it was only £35pp and such good value for money! You get a drink, a starter and main for that price which is better than what you get at some of these other insta-worthy looking places where the food is compromised by the aesthetics. I’ve also tried the afternoon tea £35pp which is one of the BEST afternoon teas I’ve had. Way tastier and less pretentious than the Ritz! In Spring, we tried the blackened miso cod which was cooked to perfection! 😍 The food here tastes great. The staff are genuinely nice, attentive and will treat you with respect. A great service with even greater food. What more can you ask for?

Unfortunately this place did not deliver on the high expectations. It’s just another Instagramable place that was not value for money. For the price you pay, you’re expecting levels but it was very much a mixed bag. The pancakes were quite dry and the bacon should be crispy (maybe that’s personal preference). We were expecting better with the shakshuka. The flavours were good but there was a lack of egg whites and the egg yolks were hard. Maybe we’re being picky but for the price you pay you’re expecting better. The eggs Benedict with salmon were good. The English muffin definitely stood out. The french toast was well presented and was a highlight for us. Have we had better yes but considering there’s not many place that we’ve gone to that does good French toast we give them a pass. Overall it was an underwhelming experience. The service was very attentive. Decor and design picturesque but the food was a let down.

Lovely little spot just a hop skip and jump away from the Hullabaloo. Good food, great drinks, fabulous staff!

Style over substance - the space is undoubtedly beautiful, but the food and service was unimpressive at dinner. Me and another member of my party ordered the Niçoise salad which you can get as either a starter or a main-sized portion. We both ordered the main (for £14 more) and it came out the exact same size as our friend’s starter Caesar salad. To make matters worse, we soon discovered that neither of us had a single jersey royal in the salad. We asked the waiter about this and he said “there are no potatoes in the salad”. We explained that we were confused because not only is this a traditional ingredient of a Niçoise salad but it was specifically stated on the menu. He just kind of shrugged and said he would ask someone else. About 10 min later we were presented with a small bowl of potatoes with no apology for the confusion or anything. At this stage we had mostly finished our very small salads so we essentially had a potato dessert. Overall a bizarre experience for a restaurant that presents itself as being upscale.

I was really underwhelmed by Dalloway Terrace. After following their Instagram page for a while, me and a friend booked brunch here. On arriving the terrace is directly above the stairs, I peered in but didn’t think that’s where the Instagram terrace was, but I was wrong, I went to a desk inside the hotel and a staff member showed me to a table on the terrace I saw at the top of the stairs. The table given was opposite a door which was open showing cleaning products and a stairway. I complained and was moved, to the other side of the terrace which wasn’t much better. The flowers are all fake, and it’s very underwhelming, their social media team needs a pay rise for their skills, as this place is not what it looks like. We ordered the two course brunch, the food wasn’t great, eggs Benedict was a cheap muffin, cheap German ham, and eggs were hard, the Hollandaise was also slightly split. My friends risotto was okay, but really there was not much of it at all. My French toast was tasteless but it looked the part. Best part was the chocolate fondant, but not worth the price we paid. Tea came in lovely silver pots but was weak and not much flavour. Our waiter was nice, but think once I’d asked for tap water instead of bottled the service kind of disappeared. Shame, could’ve so much better. Staff inside the hotel were very nice (opening doors etc). Bill came to just over £100. Not worth it. Unfortunately I won’t be recommending a brunch here.

We were there for afternoon tea - run of the mill food, sat on a terrace which was protected by the weather with some plastic temporary blinds, not a great atmosphere.

The food was tasty service was good I guess but I don’t like how I only get given the wine menu only and not a soft drink menu. It can be really offensive if a family or couple were halal and was only given the menu with alcohol that’s the only bad thing but otherwise everything was good servers were sweet

U will be charged a bottle of water for £6.5 extra and + 20% tax with no great service, and no explanation in advance. I booked this place 2 weeks ago, and the server put me in a NOT good seat. She didn't explain that I could have my second tea, and even when I asked her for the second tea, she NEVER came back to my place with my tea. I had to ask the other server to bring it. Not worth it for money. £45 for tea + £6.5 water + not great service??????? Huh THINK CAREFULLY before u book

Had the pre theatre dinner. The food was great but wish it was faster as we had to leave and missed a course.

My friends and I paid 200 pounds for a delicious dinner with excellent service and everything was going well until we were about to leave. Staff was closing the restaurant and we were the last people there. Before we left My friend and I took roses from some of the tables around ours because we figured they were going to get thrown out anyways as they weren’t very fresh and we were the last people there ; as we were about to leave, a very rude male waiter locked the door to the exit and harassed us to give the flowers back. we were literally chased down. We were only told how to exit and the entrance was only opened after we gave them back. The Waiters reaction to my friend and i( two young foreign girls) taking flowers was extremely inappropriate and unprofessional. They’re just flowers … Very very tacky behaviour from such a posh restaurant which unfortunately ruined our experience.

Loved the afternoon tea! The decor was stunning, flowers everywhere and you could even get more sandwiches if you wanted to! And our server was so friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back again :)

Had my birthday dinner there last weekend with a bunch of friends. It was perfect. Wine (which I'd pre-chosen to ensure my friends didn't bankrupt me) and food were both great, as was the chap who looked after us. A really lovely place to be, especially on a summer's evening.

Not only was the staff extremely kind and welcoming, the food was delicious and unique. We got a great bang for our buck on the afternoon tea. The staff offered extra sandwiches and did not rush us at all. Everyone was mindful of allergies and even provided a separate nut-free dessert tower. Particularly, the rhubarb pastry was unbelievable. Would recommend Dalloway Terrace to anyone.

I visited Dalloway Terrace for lunch on a Sunday with friends. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are all incredibly polite and attentive. Water was refilled and wine topped up before I'd even realised that I was running low. The food was great and pretty reasonably priced too. The meal came to around £80 per head with everyone getting a starter, main (we all ended up choosing steak, served with chips), a side and wine.
