The food was great, loved the sea bass salad, the restaurant is extremely dog friendly, they got dog bed, treat and water bowl for my little fur boy. However, it’s prettier in pictures and is a little congested

We got the afternoon tea with champagne. The food was lovely. The sandwiches were refillable but the desserts and scones were not. The service was excellent.

The linguine pasta was unfortunately broken in pieces and slightly salty but the rest was fantastic . Lovely service by a lady called Sephora or something . She was amazing ✨

Lately, this is the best place I had visited in London when it comes to hospitality, service & ambience. Me & my husband had ordered pre- theatre menu & we were glad we chose to dine here before new show in the town , and this place is just behind the dominion theatre. I had visited Dalloway back in 2018 for breakfast with my friend & had good memories, so we decided to dine here as in pre theatre menu we had lots of vegetarian options so we both could share. Staff were very courteous, friendly & patient including door attendants. Zenka served us with so much care, love & hands down great hospitality throughout. Industry needs more people like her, who make the whole experience delightful which is rarity these days even in fine restaurants. We had such a great time here, enjoying food and everything thats needed to make it a wonderful & memorable evening. Place was very quiet & tranquil & ideally lit. They even made our drink Mandarin Mimosa- non alcoholic to our taste We absolutely loved the whole experience & Sticky toffee pudding is really the must try.

Amazing place 🌟 Staff were great! Food and as delicious. We tried truffle risotto and if you fond of truffle you definitely like it! I also ordered salad but lettuce had little bit bitter flavor😬

The Dalloway Terrace is an absolute gem! The food was outstanding—every dish was delicious, with only the chicken being slightly dry, but the overall experience more than made up for it. The coffee was simply perfect, and the service was exceptional. The staff were incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely kind, making the whole visit a pleasure. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

Table for 5, shared starters. The beef tartare was incredible. Mains were good, salmon was very basic, the fries were not to my liking. Really pretty at Christmas time. Was a nice meal but wouldn’t be in a rush to go back, the food didn’t have that Wow about it.

I visited for afternoon tea on Tuesday, December 10, at 3:15 PM, and Alejandro, the manager on duty during that time, was absolutely AMAZING. He went above and beyond by bringing my dog, Apollo, a dog bed and a treat. I was genuinely impressed by his thoughtfulness and exceptional service! He also took photos of us! Alejandro is the reason I’ll be coming back. Please give him a raise, promote him—whatever it takes to keep such a gem on your team!

Dalloway Terrace is a charming and elegant venue within a luxury hotel. We went in to enjoy tea accompanied by a typical sweet, and it was an unbeatable experience. The service was impeccable, very professional, and the sophisticated atmosphere made it even more special. The scones were amazing, freshly made and delicious. Unfortunately, the sticky toffee pudding was not the best we've had, but it didn't detract from the overall experience. Without a doubt, a perfect place to enjoy a special afternoon. Highly recommended!

My daughter and I went here for the afternoon tea. Emma, our hostess, as amazing!! She was very attentive and friendly. The food was great as well. Only 1 other couple there so we really had the terrace to ourselves. With the decorations & lights it was so cozy. The other staff were very pleasant & friendly as well. Would certainly go back again.

Had a very nice experience here with friends. Not a London regular so can't say how it compares price wise to other places but I didn't feel like I was being overcharged at least :) Would definitely recommend it. Even if you're just popping in for a drink!

Sub par high tea experience. Food is average - sandwiches especially. Scones were surprisingly good though, and desserts are nice. Food quality and price were the downfall.

We arrived at 12:30, took 10 min to order ( mentioned that all our food must be halal). The kids received their afternoon tea with ham sandwiches, that we asked to change and waited for 30 min to receive their food) I asked for tea refill and didn’t receive it until this moment 1:50. And If we needed a service we have to call staff several times, and still they forget things like the ice and lemon, the refill of tea… In sum ( staff are friendly, service is slow, food is ok , place is beautiful.

Such a meh experience for the price point. There are so many better restaurants in the area. Let's start with the positives: Nice decor, al fresco setting A couple of our table enjoyed their meals. That's about it. Now, the things that didn't go so well. The service, whilst friendly and professional, wasn't up to scratch for this type of venue. We ordered a bottle of white wine and a vodka, fresh lime and soda. Wine came quickly, but we had to wait TWENTY minutes for the vodka. We had to ask three times where it was. They kept telling us it was coming. It's a vodka, nothing difficult! We had to ask what GF options there were as they aren't listed on the menu (somewhere of this supposed standard not listing what's GF in 2024 is pretty poot). Our waiter wasn't sure, so had to find out. Fair enough. Then came back and mentioned a few things that one of our guests could have, including the salad. However the salad was served with a non GF dressing on the side. No alternative dressing of any kind was offered to our GF guest. Plates were also cleared whilst some of us were still eating. A Very dry piece of Chicken Milanese, served with the tiniest of rocket garnishes - £28. A nice tasting Black Miso Cod, but it was the size of a pea - £31. I am far from a constant negative reviewer, but this place really wasn't good. I would've thought that the staff would have taken into consideration that one of our guests had to wait so long for their drink, that they would remove it from the menu. They didn't. I couldn't be bothered to argue by the end of the meal. For the price paid, you can certainly do better. Shan't be returning!

An absolutely fantastic afternoon tea in London! I did a lot of research into the different afternoon teas in London and the one at Dalloway Terrace was a great find! Their prices were fair for an afternoon tea and the food and tea service was superb. The staff were very attentive and friendly. If you are looking for an afternoon tea this is great option to consider.

Really enjoyed their afternoon tea service - all the bites, both savory and sweet, were great. They have a nice variety of teas to choose from as well. It was a bit chilly today and they offered me a blanket, and the service was excellent all around.

First time visiting and I would say was a brilliant evening with my friend. Polite staff, attention to detail and pleasant and the food was delicious. A special thanks to Mariana, Emma and Diana. I will definitely visit again.

An affordable and enjoyable afternoon tea. Dining is on a terrace which is closed in and heated up in the cooler months. The tea is hot and the sandwiches and sweets enjoyable.

Una comida decepcionante. El menú era mínimo y nos costó elegir el mejor de una selección de 3 opciones. Finalmente todo se decidió por el pollo milanés que estaba seco y muy como un supermercado comida preparada. La factura tuvo que ser devuelta dos veces, ya que cobraron primero desde el menú de pre-teatro, luego el número incorrecto de cursos, ¡tercera vez con suerte! Creo que este restaurante sería mejor en un día soleado de verano con el techo abierto. Lo encontramos oscuro y frío.

Service did not match the atmosphere.

I didn't like the place at all, but it looks nice in the pictures I do not recommend it because the price is very expensive and you can get this food and this price in more luxurious places than it.

Staff are very helpful and nice. The food is bad quality and the portions are very small. The atmosphere is nice, but the food quality and value for money bring down the experience overall. I wouldn't go back here again.

After researching a bunch of options for afternoon tea in London, I came across Dalloway Terrace offer on Afternoontea.co.uk. It was an amazing experience, from tea selections to the sweet and savory treats. I'm happy that I did not go with other overly expensive afternoon tea while the experience here is just as good, maybe even better while affordable. Their tea blends are so very unique, highly recommend lyche goji and the rhubarb cream tea. The service was also very attentive and it's a cozy place with pretty decoration. The sandwiches are also refillable, but the normal amount is already so filling. Happy to end my London trip here!

You pay for the environment and the fabulous tea. the food was not extraordinary, in my opinion, but the chai tea is extremely good (we had afternoon tea).. Service was great, and they always refilled what you needed. I would recommend

We had a lovely brunch for our anniversary. The atmosphere was perfect and calm, staff were very friendly and the food was fantastic. They had lovely veg options and they were delicious. They even brought out a little plate with happy anniversary and 2 cakes as a treat which was lovely. Overall fantastic experience, we did see a family with a small child who was also very well catered for so we will be coming back with our little one too!

We came here for a High Tea on a Sunday. It was very cute and a great ambiance. The menu had a lot of options and our server was really nice and provided recommendations. We got the one with a glass of champagne each as well. All in all, i would not say it was worth the price, but was a cute thing to do and is a bucket list item for a trip to London. The sandwiches were okay as well as the pastries - no one really finished all of what we were given. Pastries were very sweet.

We went here on our wedding day with family for afternoon tea. The whole experience was perfection. The table was decorated beautifully, the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Giovanni and the people serving the table. During our stay at the Bloomsbury we dined here 3 times. Each time the experience was exceptional. From food to service and ambiance as well, the Dalloway was able to execute 3 varied meals flawlessly. Our first was the Sunday Roast. Not only was the meat cooked perfectly but the sides were just as delicious and not an afterthought. Next was tea which included delicious sweets and savories. Every detail was thought out from presentation to freshly made jam. Our third was dinner, which was also delicious. Our servers Diana and Madelina were gems! Warm smiles, professional with great recommendations. They truly seemed to enjoy the hospitality industry. We look forward to our next stay to visit here!

The terrace lacks atmosphere in the summer, can look so magical. Service excellent, food good. Dog friendly, brought a bed ( never seen that before) and waterbowl for my miniature poodle.

Frosty check-in experience by two staff. Don’t know why the second front of house staff was so scowly and made me feel like I was an imposition. A smile goes a long way - espeically for such a hotel. Trout was too salty. Dead quiet when we left no ambience. The restaurant staff were more approachable however did not take our food order for 30 min.

Superb pastries with wonderful sharp flavours, all different. Scones excellent as well. Friendly helpful service.A real find.

Afternoon tea was fantastic!! Service was awesome. Desserts were delicious. Pretty setting too. Only thing I’ll say is the tables are very close together so there’s not much privacy. Also make sure you read the cancellation policy. It’s £30 a head!

One of the best service we have ever received, from the lovely spanish host to the amazing waitress who looked after us AND our little dog. It exceeded all my expectations. You are very lucky to have such an attentive staff! Food was perfect, I’d like to thank the chef for the personalised birthday message on the dessert, very nice touch.We waited more than 45 min for our table, but it was worth it and the team did everything possible to make it up to us for the delay.Wonderful experience and will be back 100%

I like the afternoon tea here and have visited it three times. No matter how many times I go there, I am always impressed by the professional attitude of the service staff. Also, whatever you eat in the afternoon tea is delicious.

Cute restaurant in a gorgeous hotel. The attention to design was evident. From the flowers as a backdrop to the wallpaper and quirky furniture in the sitting room, I liked the interior design and atmosphere. However, the food wasn’t very flavourful. The quality did not match the prices. The service was not good. Only one waiter tried to do his best. One lady asked to take our drinks order, but then never placed it. Our used plates and cutlery were left on the table from the appetisers to the desserts and no one ever cleaned the plates. They handed us our plates reaching over others on the table, etc. However, we were celebrating an occasion and the (manager?) then brought us some drinks and a sweet treat and was very kind to us. I would recommend coming here for the atmosphere but not the food/ service.

Excellent service and welcoming. It was an extraordinary experience for a french woman like me. 48£ per person the afternoon tea isn’t excessive at all compared to others and the location is incredible. The service is it too. A fantastic flashback in the 60’s british mood.

We took our children (10 and 12) for a special treat after a trip to the theatre. The staff were very attentive and the food was delicious. The decor in the terrace is very pretty and it was lovely and cosy, despite being wet and windy outside. Would definitely recommend for a special treat.

We had booked Dalloway Terrace for Mother's Day, and walked away VERY underwhelmed. The service was extremely slow (despite it not being full), the waiters weren't flexible with the menu (they didn't allow mum to pick a dish from the Mother's Day menu and one from the usual menu - I would class this as a "won't " not "can't"), the food was average and bland. All of this and the menu wasn't cheap...

Afternoon tea. Overall the ambience, food and service were fantastic. The egg & truffle followed by the smoked salmon sandwiches in particular, were outstanding. All the beautifully presented sweet items and lovely fresh warm scones and homemade jam were fabulous. The tea selection was great (we had Chai). Perrier Jouet a wonderful choice for the served champagne. All the staff we came in contact with were super helpful and professional. The toilets were clean and delightful. Thanks again.

Went here to celebrate my mom’s birthday was loved it! Tucked away behind Tottenham Court Road, it makes for a wonderful day out! The environment, staff and food were all lovely! Definitely recommend for any special occasions or just a nice day out!

Both Dalloway Terrace and Coral room as part of the Bloomsbury Hotel are hidden gems just off of Tottenham Court Road. Well recommended for a night out.

Right in the center of London, this restaurant has a special atmosphere, they decorate the place according to the seasons with flowers. We ate well there. Attention ! There is a tip included in the bill in % (I think 15%). Do not be surprised. The menu is also changing, there were many vegetarian dishes.

A wonderful visit to the Dalloway Terrace on Saturday evening. Shutran & Lucian looked after all 7 of us expertly. Delicious menu & super atmosphere. Drinks in the Coral Bar before, location close to theatres etc. Thankyou we will return.

Unfortunately we attended Dalloway Terrace over the festive period prior to myself leaving for Australia. It was my last meal as a family, and after attending Dalloway Terrace for the last 3 years we were excited to return. At the time of dining a Christmas party was in full swing in the room next to the terrace which we could hear but didn’t initially think this was a problem. We seated for dining and waited 35 minutes for a drink, one of which never came (beer by bottle) and we had to chase twice. The food was delicious as always however we had to find staff if we needed anything as not once did anyone come to the table. The bill came without asking and a card machine to which we asked for the service charge to be removed due to us expressing our disappointment at the service, the bill was taken away and then returned at a higher amount than initially given. When questioned the staff member mentioned that the bill had initially been calculated wrong so was recalculated without service charge but the tone at which this delivered was extremely rude. We subsequently paid and left, but absolutely wouldn’t return again. It seems the priority is with the events in the hotel rather than the terrace, even from the usual winter decorations which were unfortunately not up. This review is delayed due to me leaving for Australia however to say this was my last evening in the UK I was keen to write a review to prevent others having a similar experience.
