Always great food, lovely little cafe! Will go again soon

Cash only, so we had to leave, probably money laundering. Took us ages to park, and the catering supplier was packed in the disabled bay which made it very difficult for me and my partner. Disabled bay had no margin around it, and awkward angle.

The food was exceptional, and at a very reasonable price. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. There was a very cheerful and funny Italian front of house. Very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. Heulwen , Cary’s and I will be going again.

Visited on a busy weekend and luckily got a table. The guy who greeted us was very friendly and active in the shop, making sure everyone was okay. I visited with my partner and friends, we had two pots of teas and baguette/toasties. Although I can’t comment on the toasties the baguette was delicious! It seemed very fresh and artisan; a nice thin crunchy outside but soft and fluffy inside. The ham and cheese were both really high quality and it went down a treat. Not being a massive tea drinker I wasn’t sure what to go for but ended up with an Earl Grey Rose tea. It was delicious. A subtle touch of rose brought the whole thing together very well. I enjoyed so much I bought a bag to take home. The shop had a nice atmosphere. When I visited the main clientele were older people, but although my group all being in our early-early 20s, we didn’t feel out of place, which was nice. I know this can be awkward for some people. The place was clean and tidy and warm. It is a cosy place to spend a hour having a chat, a tea and a bite to eat. Definitely want to go again. Also very surprised by the nice initiatives in place, but I won’t say more as I’d hate to ruin the surprise for any newcomers. Staff were also kind and friendly too. This is such a great spot to grab a quick coffee whilst walking along the prom and soaking up the view. I managed to resist the cakes but they look awesome!

Just want to say a huge thank you to Arwel and Anna. We, like everyone, were without power and no cooking facilities as electric hob🤦 . Also had surprise visitors who couldn’t get out of the village so bunkered down with us. Arwel and Anna last minute made us food so that we all had some warm food. The food was perfect. Thank you so much xxx

The absolute best cakes I've ever tasted , they do a lovely little raspberry cake that to die for, the raspberry ripple ice cream is amazing, friendly staff, dogs allowed inside to which is a bonus for us, for me the coffee is just not hot enough but I do like my drinks boiling hot, and a larger coffee than the regular would be good too, the coffee itself it's one of the nicest I've tasted.

Lovely cafe serving a great breakfast and a gluten free breakfast. We also purchased our lunch to takeaway. Everything tasted lovely. All the staff are friendly and attentive. 5 out of 5 stars !! Well done "Caffi Colwyn". Will definitely return. 😃

Acabamos de tener una comida encantadora en el Dragonfly Bistro. Una bienvenida muy cálida a la llegada. Una gran selección de platos caseros y pasteles. Personal super atento a un precio muy razonable. Volveremos a llamar la próxima vez que estemos en Aberystwyth.

Really nice relaxing place with lovely mannered staff

Unfortunately, we were unable to eat here (at the beginning of June). The message on the ansaphone says 'Currently closed for the winter'. Hopefully, they'll reopen at the beginning of the school summer holidays.

Home cooked Sunday lunch was gorgeous. There was a wide variety of vegetables and plenty of them. The staff were friendly and attentive.

I have been here twice since my coeliac diagnosis. The first time in October 2024, there was a big selection of tapas to choose from and really enjoyed my meal. The menu is labelled with what is gluten free etc and I was confident that the waiter was taking my order seriously. In January 2025, there was a smaller winter menu and the waiter seemed a bit more rushed but because I had eaten there before, I thought it would be fine. However, this was the first time I had experienced being glutened from a restaurant and I was not well. Unfortunately, being coeliac, I am unable to take the chance to eat here again. If you don’t need to eat gluten free, I would recommend this restaurant as the food is lovely and there are a wide choice of drinks to choose from. I just wanted to write the review to make other coeliacs aware.

Friendly welcome and helpful staff. The cakes all looked so lovely it was hard to choose between them but what we had was perfect. Clean facilities and acceptable prices. All in all a great experience!
