Having seen the reviews, we popped in here for a quick brunch during a brief visit to Aberdare. This community is so lucky to have a place like this and I thoroughly recommend it. The Hyb is really clean, bright and spacious and well looked after.
The staff in the cafe were really polite, efficient and friendly. Our 2 coffees, porridge with honey and berry compote and bacon and avocado toasted brioche bap were perfect and all for £12.80. Really good value.
We were also really pleased to read about the Hyb's 'Pay it forward' scheme which invites you to buy food/drink items to be used by people in need. The staff give you a receipt to stick on a board and anyone in need can pick it up and get free food/drink. What a lovely way to make an anonymous 'act of kindness' and one which we were inspired to do.
We'll certainly go there again if passing in/near Aberdare.
Called into the Bethel Chapel Cafe before watching the rugby match at Ponty. We had a really good and filling breakfast for a very reasonable price. The chapel itself is undergoing a sympathetic restoration and your custom will help this important work. Good food, interesting venue and brilliant friendly staff. Ideal for walkers and cyclists or just a walk around Ponty.
Enjoyed a fabulous afternoon with friends here today! The food was marvellous with lots of choice with plenty of hot teas. The ladies here are so friendly, couldn’t do enough for you 😊 Thanks for everything Elaine & Jan. Merry Christmas 🎄 x
We stopped off here on our way home for breakfast. Everything was fresh and good quality. I had a full English and my partner had eggs Benedict. We enjoyed our meals and the service was good. My only reason for not giving five stars is that I felt some of my items were a bit too greasy. This is easily rectified though and so I would definitely return.
Oh and the cakes looked amazing!!!
This cafe is 5 stars food is amazing you get it so quick and customer service is excellent and the dippy eggs are also so nice and the waitress is superb come try it
We have to buy in bulk, and transport talerddig sausage rools over 300 miles for our daughter, that tells you everything you need to know. Lovely bread too
