The Welsh Shop, a well established ran shop in Llangollen is maybe one of the first shops you see after getting out of the Market Street car park. Offering Ice cream and other items to eat and drink as well as a great collection of Welsh items for sale. a Must visit and see place in this marvellous town.

called in here to take some goodies back with us, pasty, pecan and choc slice and rocky road slice. The window is full of temptation!

A delightful shop full of wonderful souvenirs of Wales. However, their collection of carved Love Spoons is awesome. Each has a story and you get a card with your purchase that explains all the parts of the carving. Each is original and range from quite small and inexpensive to intricate and more costly. We bought one that celebrates our 50th wedding anniversary so it is special to us.

This is one of the two genuine Welsh gift shops in town . Right by the market car park and coach park. Ruth the owner and Ann her right hand woman are both helpful and friendly - have a wealth of knowledge about the traditional Welsh love spoons, and are both Welsh ladies.

After a walk with friends and our dogs Ilka and Milly in tow we needed some a good hot cuppa a snack and sit down. Riverbanc is one of the friendliest and dog friendly places in town. The warmth of the cafe hits you as soon as you walk through the door and the lovely staff greet you with smiles and a big fuss for the dogs. Ali was straight onto warming ilkas doggy ice cream up for her, her regular treat after a walk. Today us adults had Welsh Rarebit, always delicious, the poached eggs as orange as the sun and so tasty, the club sandwich, always a favourite with Milly and me. Todays top choice was the homemade mince pies! Alison bakes these to perfection every Christmas, buttery and crumble in the mouth. Have a great Christmas guys and gals and keep serving the best coffee and snacks in town. :-)
