The Welsh Shop, a well established ran shop in Llangollen is maybe one of the first shops you see after getting out of the Market Street car park. Offering Ice cream and other items to eat and drink as well as a great collection of Welsh items for sale. a Must visit and see place in this marvellous town.

After a walk with friends and our dogs Ilka and Milly in tow we needed some a good hot cuppa a snack and sit down. Riverbanc is one of the friendliest and dog friendly places in town. The warmth of the cafe hits you as soon as you walk through the door and the lovely staff greet you with smiles and a big fuss for the dogs. Ali was straight onto warming ilkas doggy ice cream up for her, her regular treat after a walk. Today us adults had Welsh Rarebit, always delicious, the poached eggs as orange as the sun and so tasty, the club sandwich, always a favourite with Milly and me. Todays top choice was the homemade mince pies! Alison bakes these to perfection every Christmas, buttery and crumble in the mouth. Have a great Christmas guys and gals and keep serving the best coffee and snacks in town. :-)

Absolutely terrible, thought I would try this place as I haven’t before and noticed from a book shop. From the moment I walked in there was an odd atmosphere, first the place is very dark even with it being sunny outside there is none inside what so ever, second the service is terrible my drinks were taken fast but to order food was very slow. I decided to order the tuna panini which was just so dry same with the chips that came with it. Staff sitting at the window on their phones like they don’t even care. Whilst waiting for the food I was looking about and noticed the soft play area, absolutely freezing in there considering it’s for children, the music coming from the kitchen being able to hear it from the entrance to enter in there, and then… the smell of smoke, whether they smoke from outside or in I’m not too sure is most definitely not good if this is a so called soft play area.

What a find! This fabulous find is just off the High Street. The food was delicious and all sourced locally. Two of us had the mozzarella and roasted veg jacket potato and the other had the goats cheese and roasted veg panini. The roasted veg was exquisite especially the mushrooms.Ran by a mother and daughter duo, whose sense of humour was refreshing and nothing was too much trouble. Even when one of our party asked for a glass of white wine, the owner popped to the shop to buy a very nice bottle of white. We were made to feel very welcome and would love to return to sample the afternoon tea.Thank you for a lovely experience and afternoon!

We drove 1.5 hours to find real oggies. We bought the giant beef and potato one which was amazing. It was so full with delicious stuffing and the pastry was perfect. I don't know how even though the filling was so heavy could that pastry will carry it without breaking. It was a very perfect throughout, flavour, texture and mixed. The price was fairly reasonable for such a large oggie and well worth it. We also tried the standard size lamb with mint and veggies, for some reason the pastry was different to the beef one, we prefer the pastry from the beef oggie but ingredients in the lamb oggie were quality, the lamb pieces, slightly fatty and extremely succulent and the veggies just absorbed the flavour. I truly recommend and would come again when we're back in North Wales.

It was very shut during my week long stay in Llangollen last week. What Pub has it as "Temporary Closed, reopening 2021" and as we are now deep into 2022 in the height of the holiday season when you would assume if it was opening at all it would have done it for the holiday crowds, I guess we can assume this one has gone for good. Real shame as LLangollen is not overly blessed with good real ale outlets.
