We had a very expensive breakfast which wasn’t fantastic for the price. Our three kids had a hot chocolate each which was nearly £5 cup again not much flavour to it all in all overly disappointed.

Wow! We ambled in on the off chance as we passed by, how fortunate we were. We got a nice clean table and were greeted by a gentleman who explained the menu to us, he was great, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We ordered a vegi Sunday lunch sooo nice, tasty and not a nut roast in sight, we also ordered a beef Sunday lunch, my partner said he really enjoyed it, the beef was perfectly cooked. Atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and quaint. We will definitely be back and head here every time we are in Llangollen. Service 10/10 Menu 10/10

Came with some friends. Waitress put my bacon butty in front of my baby who immediately grabbed it, the plate fell and broke. The Waitress swept up half of the plate and left the bacon butty on the floor. So I grabbed it and put it on the table. She gave my friends their food and then never came back. My friend went to see if they were going to bring me another bacon butty. The Waitress came over at this point and asked me if I wanted another one. I asked if I'd have to pay for 2 bacon butties if I did and she said "yeah probably" so I said no thanks and I left without having been fed. It's a shame as I've been here before and had great food and service but this was really disappointing experience.

Decent selection of vegan/veggie options, including a 'healthy' option and a less 'healthy' option. Very kind, understanding and informative about allergies. Very friendly staff, nice easy-going popular music playing at a nice level. Good coffee, with oat milk available for a small additional charge.

We had a lovely roast dinner last Sunday. We just stopped to rest for a few minutes, and have coffee and cake, although we saw the m'eating point and we decided to go for a late breakfast. When we were sitting a staff member told us about specials and Sunday dinner. Was lovely. No photos , as we were too busy to munch it away and talk and laugh and enjoyed the moment.

The Sunday roasts are massive, I had half a chicken which came with mash, roast potatoes, broccoli, red cabbage, carrots, green beans a Yorkshire pudding and rich gravy, tasted fantastic and there was so much on the plate I struggled to finish it. Washed down with a delicious latte.

Friendly staff, fast table service, freshly prepared breakfast, reasonably priced. We had the Eggs Benedict and waffles with fruit and syrup which were lovely.

Loved it here food was lovely until I found a piece of glass in my food I had nearly eaten it all then crunched down on this piece of glass luckily it didn't cut my tongue or mouth I showed it to the waiter he said glass wasn't allowed in the kitchen so was a mystery to where it had come from they gave me 15% discount on my meal I hope they found out where it came from as they make the meals them self.

This was the most beautiful place ever. The waiters were so kind and caring. And the chicken goujons were soooo good. And the fries were one of the best I've had. The male waiter was so kind he deserves a pay rise.

Ordered breakfast asked for no mushrooms as I do not like the taste or smell of them, food came out with mushrooms. Asked for them to change and not just to remove as I had asked for no mushrooms. Same plate was returned with mushrooms removed and food moved around the plate, with food being placed on the grease left by the mushrooms. When I challenged this I was told I should of asked for no mushrooms which I had. The shows that the chef mustn't look at orders when the come in and just removing the item and moving the food around the plate is not what I expect and I would assume not to be done.

Not an extensive menu, but everybody should find something acceptable. The staff were pleasant and helpful, the service was quick (7pm on a Friday) and the food was hot, plentiful and delicious. We ate from the specials board.

The two lovely people working at half 4, Saturday 20th, happily welcomed us in despite our late arrival as the close at 5. Food is brilliantly priced, amazing and just an absolute gem of a find hidden at the top of the high street! Massive thanks for a lovely end to our visit to the beautiful Llangollen!

Second time visiting and brilliant again thank you. I'm veggie - but with dairy and gluten intolerances. The m'Eating Point staff take this in their stride when I order a breakfast (VE/GF but with an egg), make me feel really confident. Super tasty breakfast!! Meat/gluten eaters really happy too! Friendly, lovely atmosphere and very dog friendly. Spotted the ve/gf crumble on the specials, so will be back for an evening meal soon :-) Thanks again everyone at the m'Eating Point.

TLDR - PLEASE AVOID IF YOU HAVE ANY DIETARY REQUIREMENTS. As you can see from the menus on their website, this restaurant does not provide a key to the dietary requirement code in their menu. Perhaps this should have been our first warning. However, from the attached photos of the menu we were provided, you can see that they include the standard V (usually vegetarian), ve (usually vegan) and GF ( usually gluten free). There is nothing else regarding dietary requirements or allergies on the menu and we were not asked about this when ordering. Perhaps it is my fault for not asking for clarification on the menu markings. However, I feel this was a reasonable assumption to make considering the meat-free breakfast was marked V and the Vegan Breakfast VE. The meat free burger for example had a V(Ve) sign next to it, suggesting it's a veggie item with vegan adjustments available , this was NOT the case for the meal I ordered, the giant veggie dog, which only has the VE, which I assumed was vegan. please take a look of photos of the menu attached. When the meal arrived, it was covered in cheese. Being lactose intolerant and not having seen any mention of cheese on the menu descruption if thr item, I checked this was vegan. The waiter had no idea, went to check, and confirmed it was not. I was told I could have a vegan version if I wanted but I would have to pay for another meal. I accepted as I was lead to believe it was listed on the menu as a 'cheese infused veggie dog and this had been my own mistake', as I doubted myself I took another check of the menu to see this 'cheese infused veggie dog' didn't even exist on it. The waiter was rude and defensive when we brought this up, he told us 'in the valleys' its standard to have to specify you want a vegan version of a meal, even if it's specifically marked as vegan (not the case in the lovely Ponderosa cafe up the road who will sell you a vegan cake with no clarification required). About half an hour later a supposedly vegan hotdog was brought to the table. Despite earlier being told we would have to pay for both meals. The waiter said he would have given us a refund, but by then I'd eaten the chips from the first meal (I was hungry and told I would be paying for it either way) and so this wouldn't be possible. Instead we got a generous £8 off the total bill for 6 people (but paying for 7 meals as both hotdogs were included on the bill) for the mistake, which after some back and forth he finally admitted to. I will be fair in saying I should have declared my intolerance, however I am used to seeing vegan food as a 'safe food' and I don't see why a Vegan's dietary requirement deserves any less respect despite it not being an allergy. As we were being rushed in ordering and never asked about any allergy. I saw this as safe bet. We never got the name of the waiter, but it was a gentleman with dark hair and glasses. As you will see from their other 1 star reviews, this constructive criticism will likely not be well received. You may also see my aunt's review, in another case multiple negative reviews for one experiencd may seem excessive, however, when it comes to places treating dietary requirements with such flippancy, I believe you cannot be too careful... UPDATE: please see response from owner. If you read my review, I hold my hands up to my part of thr mistake. They've said (Ve) means vegan on request. Fair enough. The veggie hotdog isn't labelled (Ve), it'd labelled VE. so please explain again to me how this is my mistake? I would have read the key if you'd have had one. Menu uploaded is the current one on the website and accurate to what we received yesterday

TLDR: AVOID AVOID AVOID if you have allergies or are vegan/veggie! Look at other low reviews and probably the response to this comment for the staffs attitudes. We visited this place for the first time with my lovely family, as we have just purchased a house in Llangollen and will now be locals. We were really looking forward to maybe having a new regular spot, but we won’t ever be going back after tonight’s experience. We all tried to order drinks but the poor waitress wasn’t able to tell us what was/wasn’t in stock and in the end we all ordered an Aspall as there wasn’t anything else, despite what the menu says. The menu not reflecting what you get is a trend here. Order something, get something completely different and rudely spoken to for the privilege. My niece isn’t able to eat lactose, she gets very very poorly if she has any dairy. Because of this she ordered a the ‘giant veggie dog’ - this is marked with a VE sign next to it, not V(ve) like a different meat free option that can be vegetarian or vegan. It’s like this online right now. The ingredients listed are ‘served in a baguette, onions, mustard and ketchup’. When she was served her hot dog, she was told it is a ‘cheese infused’ hot dog, and there was cheese sprinkled liberally on the bun. When we asked the staff of this was vegan cheese, none of them were able to confirm this. When challenged, we were told they would bring another vegan hot dog, but that we had to pay for the original hot dog because we hadn’t specified it to be vegan. He said it’s a standard format “for the valleys” that you must specify for this to be vegan, despite the Ve sign on the menu. The vegan one still had cheese all over it, so no matter what you order, you’re not going to get what you want. By this point, the rest of us had finished the meal and my poor niece was starving, so had eaten some chips from the plate. We challenged a member of staff who was extremely defensive and rude. He said he wasn’t able to reduce the price of the meal as the owners are on holiday in Tenerife. He admitted fault many times and yet still expected us to pay full price (because she had eaten some chips) So my niece came very close to being seriously ill and possibly hospitalised and they knocked eight whole pounds off the bill. Complete disgrace - cue the response telling me I’m fake or that we tried to steal something lmao.

went here with family who have dietary requirements, other reviews say the vegan menu is great. but in a menu item with “Ve” in brackets they were given dairy which is obviously not vegan. when bought up to a manager, they said when the menu says “(Ve)” it means you have to specify you want the vegan option. this is perfectly fine if you’ve been told that, or if it’s written on the menu but it isn’t. they insisted that it was written on the menu and we had to pay to get one without dairy, but there isn’t even an allergy key on the menu? we looked all over for this mythical “you have to specify” but when it was not found, we were told it is “standardised across the valley”. nasty owner has seen her review and in response taken all their menu offline and will presumably upload one with an allergy key to try and make it took like she’s lying.. they’re completely ridiculous in their responses to other negative reviews, accusing people of pulling faces, dining and dashing or stealing tips. it’s immediately clear none of this happened and they cannot accept that their restaurant smells bad, has poor service and rubbish owners. and the food is mid honestly

This was now my second visit in the last 3 months, so I thought it was worthy of now having a review. It is a well presented cafe in a great location and worth a visit for sure when visiting Llangollen, that has great friendly and pleasant staff who keep it in a very clean state. The service is superb with table service, which is speedy and efficient. Both the food and drinks are of good quality with a varied menu.

Awesome place!! Massive portions, delicious, lovely friendly face to greet us and quality music. Had loaded fries, garlic mushrooms, whitebait, chicken goujons and everything was really tasty. Staff were polite and really lovely. Found a new gem of a place to eat!!!

Lovely pub, great food. The only thing I don't like is how they let dogs in a pub that serves food. My girlfriend is allergic and we had to move so we could eat.

My Wife and I had booked 4pm on the 23rd of December, we had previously dined here , the food was excellent and the staff were excellent, warm and welcoming .we would highly recommend My eating point in Llangollen Jan, Peter and Eric 🐕.

arrived after booking for a party of 2 adults, 1 child and a high child to be crammed in between another two tables of 4 with no highchair. Eventually swopped out a chair for a highchair but then but another chair directly behind myself and the baby - litrally couldn’t move without hitting this chair (massive fire hazard as neither me, the baby or poor person in said chair could move). Then brought menus, no kids menu brought despite us having a 5 year old (never been before so didn’t know they had a separate one so didn’t ask as the server dropped menus and left and I couldn’t get out). Later seen kid’s menu on another table as we left. Took just under 1 hour for a ham and cheese tostie, pesto and mozzarella sandwich and a chicken burger. No cutlery as food arrived, we had to get the attention of a server to bring this. Food was ok but not worth the hassle. Must say it was fully booked and we did get a verbal apology.

Great little eat out spot, cooking great food at great prices. We had the burger with some pork loaded fries. All cooked well and loads of it. To many chips with the plate to share and ones on the side. Maybe need to rethink that next time. Lush none the less. Would go back With great service and good value

Stopped at this restaurant on the way to our family holiday in wales. We were quickly seated and served by very pleasant staff. The food was great could maybe be a little warmer but that’s the only snag. We were that happy with it we stopped again on our return trip for another great large breakfast!

I'd give the food 4.5 if I could. Schnitzel was big but got a little boring and could have done with more salad or coleslaw on the side. My mozzarella pesto panini was delicious though and coffees were very good. It's good value for money and staff were truly lovely.

Took 1hr 15 minutes for a small breakfast. Took 60p off the meal which is a cheek. The latte was half full, most of it was frothy milk and luke warm.

Mum and I were having a day out around Llangollen and I called in to get some food for a picnic. I think they're mostly an eat-in restaurant but when I asked if there was anything amenable for take-away the chef said 'Pretty much anything' so I had vegan cheesy mac and Mum had ham and cheese toasty. We hadn't thought how we were going to eat our meals, not having any cutlery with us. However, M-Eating Place very kindly handed over two sets of their metal knives and forks as they couldn't find any disposables. This was so kind and generous and they had no expectation of receiving them back but I am posting them back anyway. Our meals, which we at at Horseshoe Falls, was delicious and well cooked and we both ate up every last bit. Thank you very much M-Eating Place. Fantastic service!

Come here first if you are eating out in Llangollen, you will only be upset if you go somewhere else beforehand. The staff, atmosphere, food, drink & even the playlist are fantastic.

I've avoided this place before because of its name. I know "M'eating" is combination of eating and meeting but as a vegetarian I've subconsciously avoided it! I wonder if I'm not the only one. Vegan breakfast was great, by the way!

Absolutely lovely staff, so friendly and helpful. Original dishes, everything tasty and not very expensive. I will definitely be back. I came there so tired after hiking and really had a nice rest as the atmosphere is so nice.

Such a disappointing end to some very nice food. Firstly the good part, the food itself was excellent, everyone in our party of 6 was very happy with that, I myself had the arancini and smash burger, both fantastic. Unfortunately, the absolutely terrible service has not only had the business miss out on our table ordering further food and drink from all 6 of us (we were looking forward to trying the cranachan) , but any chance of us returning is gone. After waiting over an hour after finishing our main course with no staff coming to clear or take any further orders, one of our party went up to a member of staff and asked for them to take our order. Another 15 minutes later and we gave up, having to go to the bar and pay our bill and leave. I could understand if this was a busy Friday night, but this was a quiet Sunday with only 2 other tables in use, and plenty of staff more interested in laughing and joking with each other around the bar. Massive shame as the kitchen clearly know what they’re doing with the food, but completely let down by the front of house. I loved the laid back feel of the place when we came in, unfortunately turns out it’s too laid back

When I arrived at 9:15 in a Sunday morning it was already fairly busy. I was offered s choice of tables which were clean and comfortable. The waitress was friendly and polite. The coffee was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection and the mushrooms were so tasty! m’Eating Point definitely deserves it’s good reputation on Tripadvisor

Had dinner and breakfast while staying in Llangollen. Good menu choices including a variety of vegan dishes. I can recommend the pork burger fries are lovely. Good selection of beers. Also had breakfast absolutely delicious. The big breakfast is big!

Food was ok, drinks were on the menu as 'on tap' Tango but was just an orange fizzy drink, not Tango. Lemonade was a sweet sparkling water. Don't know if there was a problem with the drinks dispenser but that was disappointing.
