Very old Welsh pub. The oldest one on the back row. Quaint, Welsh and friendly. And good beer too. What else is there to say!

Family run pub lovely people my local. The food is amazing . The sunday dinners are just the best around all fresh home cooked food . Also do food on other nights .the burger and pint night is very good homemade burgers homemade chips onion rings . A lot of effort goes into making the food and its definitely worth a visit. The owners are nice people and will cater to your needs .

Situated in the Old back row Denbigh this fantastic 15th century Inn offers far more than your typical pub. The ambient atmosphere and friendly patrons instantly put your mind at ease. A fantastic selection of drinks and the staff are excellent. The real jewel in the crown however are the best Sunday roasts to rival the best of any mothers home cooked food at ridiculously reasonable rates. Nothing is too much trouble here. 11/10.

Paul Carter is the perfect Landlord, the pandemic has affected his business like many businesses. However, Paul is very philosophical and is warm to welcome all who visit this tradition Inn. Lots of atmosphere, where you may enjoy good company and a good variety of drinks. Highly recommended

Just had yet another amazing Sunday lunch here freshly cooked by landlady Julia. Fantastic value for money at only £6. The roast beef just melts in your mouth. The service is great, nothing is too much trouble for them. We will keep coming back and would recommend you give it a try. Booking is advisable. Thank you Julie and Annola xx

So, arrived in Denbigh staying at Castle House B and B, thought we would stroll down the hill (3 minutes) and have a beer after a long drive.... stumbled into this gem of a pub, really friendly and they do food! Limited menu (cheeseburger/ tikka masala/beef madras) but as soon as we expressed an interest the landlady came over explaining she had a family get together but food was available. She actually offered us her family meal of sea bass but we plumped for the tikka masala.... poppadoms and chutney, a huge portion of home made and piping hot curry with rice AND chips and naan. £6! It was delicious and we would have been happy paying double that! Nothing was too much trouble and we certainly didn’t feel like strangers. Highly recommend if you are in Denbigh!

Nice place to drink. Very noisy Friday and Saturday nights due to karaoke. So if you love karaoke you'll have a great night. Sunday late afternoons I prefer when it's just the locals and a little quieter. You can pre-order a wonderful Sunday lunch made by Julia. Weekdays can be bit quiet but can also unpredictably busy. Great little friendly pub. Julia is a wonderful cook and you won't be disappointed with any of her food. She used to do bar meals weekdays 4-6pm but unsure if she still does this as I haven't been in around that time for a couple of weeks.***** Few pics below showing locals having a great time

Nice relaxing cosy place to have a brew. Usually take my uni book and sit in peace. When I visit, I usually go on a Thursday, Luke and Olivia are working. They're always chatty and polite.

The staff at this cafe are so lovely, really accommodating and friendly, the food is lovely, and the location is beautiful, right at the top of St Asaph and the cathedral itself is beautiful too and free to go inside

This is the first time I have been to this cafe and I must say I was very impressed. The almond cafe is tucked away off the high street but it is a fantastic eatery with a wide range of home cooked food and a good choice of menu ranging from the tradional full breakfast to hearty meals such as home.made braised beef with mushrooms and onions in a rich gravy served with chips and peas or potatoes, all for under £9, coupled with a daily specials board offering a further range of dishes using locally sourced ingredients. The sevice is fantastic, with a great positive and welcoming atmosphere. All meals are cooked in view of the customers which gives this cafe a great personal touch. The food is fantastic. My breakfast was served in under 5 minutes and was piping hot. It was not oily or greasy but very tasty. The cafe is very popular with seating for 20 customers at a time and the average footfall is 15 -16. Salads and takeaways are also available. The cafe is spotless with a keen detail to hygene and cleanliness. All tables are cleaned thoroughly before and after service and the decor is quaint with a homely feel. All in all a very pleasing visiit, and one that shall be repeated in the near future. A wonderful cafe with excellent staff and food.

A lovely little classic pub with a friendly landlord and nice, chatty locals. They had a dart board and a brilliant vinyl jukebox, definitely worth a visit if you're in the area on the weekend (I think they only open Friday to Monday)

After a walk with friends and our dogs Ilka and Milly in tow we needed some a good hot cuppa a snack and sit down. Riverbanc is one of the friendliest and dog friendly places in town. The warmth of the cafe hits you as soon as you walk through the door and the lovely staff greet you with smiles and a big fuss for the dogs. Ali was straight onto warming ilkas doggy ice cream up for her, her regular treat after a walk. Today us adults had Welsh Rarebit, always delicious, the poached eggs as orange as the sun and so tasty, the club sandwich, always a favourite with Milly and me. Todays top choice was the homemade mince pies! Alison bakes these to perfection every Christmas, buttery and crumble in the mouth. Have a great Christmas guys and gals and keep serving the best coffee and snacks in town. :-)
