Amazing value, quality and service!! We booked this pub based on a Google search and the chef, Nicola, was extremely helpful on messenger to arrange our tomohawk steak, fresh from the butcher that day. The portions we're huge and all the food was home cooked and fine butcher quality and the prices are fantastic value. 10 of us ate until we were stuffed on steak, gammon, lasagne, double burgers and the biggest Hunter's chicken ever, for £175. Very well recommended!

Lovley little pub we go to Ruthin twice a year and make this place one of our stops for dinner always really good food and atmosphere. Staff super friendly and helpful. See you in January

You may not look twice if you were driving down the road, but we booked based on reviews. What can we say amazing pub food, huge portions so we wish we hadn't had starters! And the cost against other chains etc is unbeatable. Can't recommend enough

This is a nice down-to-earth local pub serving food. A nice pint of local Purple Moose brewery real ale and a lamb burger with choice of cheese topping (Red Dragon is a chilli cheddar). Friendly staff and a village atmosphere.

When we walked in there was an unusual musky smell, not really what you want having booked to have a meal. The interior was very outdated and it felt rather unclean throughout. We thought because the food reviews were good we will stay and hope for the best. We firstly got a drink (diet coke) which was completely flat. We ordered our food and then waited. This took a while to come but the portion sizes were good. The chips were really nice however, the steak was way too over cooked and quite dry. The pasta had a fishy taste and the burgers tasted shop bought.

Excellent food and service friendly staff

We nipped in to Farmers Arms after chatting up a local man who said the food was lovely and big portions too. He wasn’t wrong. We are staying in an AirBB in Ruthin. We both went for the lamb burger which was nice and the chips were plentiful and delicious, real home made food at a decent price. The meal was £25 for two, excluding drinks which is pretty good these days. The pub was a real local and everyone we came across was very welcoming. A lovely experience when in Ruthin.

Fantastic food, fantastic service and excellent staff. We will back again just to enjoy the delicious roast. They did fit us in but it was very busy so I would advise to book.

Well I had read previous reviews so went on that & it was seriously good food, 1 Cajun chicken 1 beef burger & omg they were absolutely fantastic best burger I’ve ever had staff lovely & ale good 10/10

We popped in here to try some more local Welsh Ale's whilst at at nearby Airbnb, and were not disappointed. The people, service, atmosphere was great and the prices totally unexpected to be that reasonable. Not in this pic but to the right was a very large screen TV with sports on at the time too. Although we had come in for food the aromas were extremely tempting and when we did decide on the Sunday to go for an Evening meal only then checked and realised the obvious and were unfortunately out of luck.

The most normal, down to earth,, nicest people. Amazing time, even better food. Trust me, you won't get better food anywhere else. No frills, just top quality tasty food.

Visited a few times now on a Monday for the curry and a pint night. Very tasty home cooked food with plenty of choice. Good beer and pleasant staff .Good value for money. If you are in the area looking for good value home cooked food Good beer then the Farmers should be on the list. WE Will be back

Had a meal for family birthday . Staff are polite and food was brilliant and value for money . Freshly made hot and tasty . The plate's were full and you know you've eaten when you finished . I will go again highly recommended if your passing or your looking for good quality food .

Lovely tasty lunch. Big portions at a reasonable price. There were 4 of us, and we all chose different off the menu. None of us were disappointed. The chips were good home cooked, a big thumbs up from me!

Excellent Sunday roast 3 course £19.95.Worth every penny. Delicious prawn cocktail,lamb roast and salted caramel cheesecake & chocolate fudge cake.(Really generous portions and our two little dogs were made just as welcome with water and biscuits.Great cider & hand pump beer along with a friendly service!Will return again very soon.

Amazing Sunday roast here again today for Mother's Day, food was delicious 😋 staff can't do enough and portions are huge, what's not to love?!! 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

There were 3 of us out for food, the table was booked, and the food was good. As the restaurant was busy we were offered the snug, which was cosy and had a log-burning fire. There was a football match being shown in the bar, which spoilt the meal, only a few people were watching the match, but shouting at the tv made the atmosphere, less than a 1 star, sorry guys, but there needs to be more of a separation between the bar and dining area.

What a lovely pub. Called in today for a light lunch and drink. We were made very welcome (including our dog), our soup was delicious and there was plenty of it. It was a very welcome break on a long journey.

Called in for a quick drink after playing foot golf nearby. I believe its in the the CAMRA good beer guide and the one hand pull that was on was in good condition. Real fire roaring away and lots of flat screens to watch Sky on. Separate rooms if you don't wantvto be part of the bar crowd. Friendly place.

Traditional drinking pub. If that is what you want great. However we had children who were refused entry as they did not serve food. But there you go.
