We have been meaning to come here for years so came one grey June day. We asked for a menu and were told it was a verbal menu, never come across this and I didn`t really like it as you don`t see the range of food and prices. Never the less, the lady was really nice. I explained that I was lactose intolerant and she gave us a few options, pepper and tomato soup ( too often people put cream in soup ) or a pork and cider casserole with their homemade bread. We chose the casserole, which was tasty. We then went to look at the cathedral, and I realised that there must have been some butter or cream in the casserole as I needed a loo urgently. Thankfully I found one in time. I only need a smidgen of dairy to get a reaction and it happens within fifteen minutes of ingesting it. So lovely place, tasty food but beware if you have any food intolerances

This place is owned by a slightly odd hippyish lady who was very friendly and pleasant and seemed to genuinely like our kids. They don't have a menu as such and she just makes it up. I suspect they'd be welcoming to out fat black labrador, but unfortunately for him, we left him in the car.

Nice enough place, nice decor but water used for hot drinks was like lava! Way too hot. Husband burnt his lip and I burnt my hand. There's also no menu...its a verbal menu as they called it. This does not work for people who are on the spectrum and need information written down. In fact it's quite stressful.

Just passing by, looking for a coffee and a bite to eat and we were lucky enough to come across this lovely little cafe. Nice little cafe in St Asaph. Called in for brunch whilst passing through and had a couple of poached eggs with bacon on toast. Came quickly, was reasonably priced and tasted great. The staff were nice and chatty and accommodated us well. Seemed like a number of locals favour the cafe - a good few people dropped in whilst we were there to have a drink, a cake or something to eat and everybody was on first name basis and seemed really friendly. We didn't feel out of place there as non locals though - we were made to feel welcome. They had soy milk there as an alternative to dairy and could make the food to suit preferences without any bother. Plenty of options with the drinks and they were well made. Pleasant place to stop that we will definitely pop in again.

Was really looking forward to visiting here for a lunch stop on our way to Llandudno, however it wasn't meant to be. Upon entering at 12.30pm we were informed by the lady that she was closing at 1pm and therefore could only offer a limited choice of bacon sandwiches or porridge! Feeling a bit disappointed we then found the Flowerpot Cafe a little further down the road that turned out to be excellent.

We both enjoyed Welsh rarebit with ham, salad and home made pickle. A really good and substantial meal. It is one of the most friendly and welcoming eateries I have been in for a long time. Nice cafe ambiance. Reasonable cake selection on display, but went for breakfast. Extremely limited menu, which was conveyed verbally as no menu was apparently on display. We were served with a micro breakfast ( one slice of bread, 2 eggs), which was buttered so sparingly, the bread was dry. Luckily the eggs were perfect ,which just about compensated. Drinks were nice and hot. Service a little Kurt but reasonably speedy. Quite a pricey visit.

We stopped by as a family of four adults and two children. The coffee shop is beautifully decorated with plenty of space between tables. We were seated in a separate room by a lovely friendly staff member who took our details. When she came to take our order she offered a mini hot chocolate for my son and also explained that he didn't have to have salad with his panini (he's nine and not a fan of green food) and they give a discount if you don't want salad. Food and drinks arrived promptly and freshly made. Wonderful friendly service, good light snack style food, beautiful surroundings and covid19 safe. Made my tweenager daughter happy because she was treated like a young lady.

Myself and other half had been visiting my friends home in Bangor for a few days and on way home we wanted to find somewhere for breakfast/ brunch in a small place . We turned off and came to this village and found this cafe . All covid precautions are taken apart from they didn’t wipe ketchup / brown sauce bottles when taking from one table to another . We wanted a full English breakfast but they had run out of sausage so my partner had a bacon and egg sandwich and I had bacon beans tomato and toast . The sandwich was made from what looked like home made bread so was rather messy to eat . Food was good however and the cappuccinos were good . Friendly owner and seemed to have a few regulars come in . We will definitely visit again on way home from my friends or sister next time we go .

Our fave little spot to top off whenever we visit north wales. Why? Well let me tell you - the friendly staff, the wonderful food, the great location, the nice locals - it's got it all. We love this location because they always deliver and never disappoint. Had a great coffee, I could drink buckets of the stuff, and a panini and my wife had a hot chocolate and panini, and they were both delish and home made. I had the New Mexican chilli panini and it was amazing - happily go back and have it again. Highly recommend this little gem.Incidentally, bought a coffee for the lovely old lady outside who took the time to say hello and let us know a bit about her family and the local area. She was there the last time we visited and always makes a fuss of our son

We turned up here on a Sunday evening absolutely starving (and soaked) as we had been elsewhere and not been given our mains for over 2 hours so we're slightly stressed. The gentleman that served us was lovely and by this point we just wanted to grab a pizza and go home, he let us know that we could order anything from the menu to take away which suited us (especially the children) as some wanted pasta! There was also a 10% discount for takeaway! There were 8 of us in total and the food still came out very quickly and was still hot by the time we got it home, it was also delicious especially the calamari. Would definitely recommend.
