No food, but top for live music & atmosphere.

I was in Llangollen for a few days by myself and checked out a few pubs for decent ales. I pooped in for one early evening and was warmly welcomed. Great selection of beers and stayed and worked my way through them. Very friendly staff, owner and customers. I returned the following evening and tried them all again. Thank you

Great pub, great beer, friendly barman, traditional interior. Several real ales on tap, good alcohol free option for the non-drinker with us.

Great pub to visit, particularly of an evening when they frequently have live music. Well kept cask ales and all the usual other beers, spirits, wines, etc.

Open Mike night. What a brilliant show by local musicians. Real locals pub with a good selection of ales. Will visit again soon. Very friendly atmosphere.

Sat night visit. There was a real fire on, so it was nice and cosy in there. The staff were v friendly. Full of locals enjoying a night out. Tradional pub with really good choice of real ales. We had a Porter but Three Tuns also being served amongst others. We will visit again

Great live music. It's a bit rowdy but doesn't over step the mark. Cracking boozer. It's also a locals pub so be respectful of that. Cheers. 🍻( Visited only once as a tourist).

Very friendly staff and good drinks on offer

Legendary old school boozer serving a wide range of ales all of which are usually very well kept!! Known for hosting live music and open mic nights on weekends. The fella who runs it Paul is friendly and chatty. Can be hit or miss with the crowd . Usually livens up after 2200 on a weekend. On the right night it’s a lot of fun or if it’s quiet you can chat at the bar and drink a nice pint. Has an open fire which adds to ambience. Pool table and pinball if no music on. Has large partially sheltered outside area and a cosy snug. Very highly recommended 🍻 🎶 🎤 🎸 🪘 🥁 🎱 p

The sunn inn is one of the throwback pubs , really throws you back to the 80s era the atmosphere is great and there service is excellent. On the outside it seems like a small pub but as you enter it is a hobbit hole of sorts , I had a great time would always return .

Very good selection of beers, good seating inside, needs a new roof outside, hence 4.

Best choice of cask ales in Llangollen. Quiet on a Friday afternoon during Eisteddfod.

Dog friendly and nice doorway and staff. A couple of excellent White Rat beers but the wife's cider Old Rosey was past its best.

Went in to see a band ..king rock..brilliant.. Friendly place and staff were welcoming some good beers on draught

We visited on a quiet (Saturday) night, but a nice bar, with a jukebox that’s pretty all encompassing. Hope to experiences a live music event soon as it’s a good venue!

Love a proper pub ,pool and juke box and live music !!!!!

Now reopen again but only in the evenings and even then not till 7.00PM during the week and 6.00PM on a Friday and Saturday. Quite quiet when I visited on a Sunday evening but a good line up of beers available with all six hand pumps in operation. The offerings were Three Tuns Solstice, TT Landlord, Salopian Oracle, Ossett Brewery White Rat and Elland Brewery 1872 Porter with Old Rosie Cider on the final pump. Tried the Salopian and Ossett brews and they were both in very good condition. Live music is slowly coming back with the Open Mic nite on Wednesdays and the Local Bands night on Fridays reinstalled. Unfortunately there is no sign of the Thursday night Jazz evening being reinstated in the near future because, as the young barmaid explained in a factually correct way that could have perhaps been slightly more tactfully put “they’ve all died”. I fear for this one due to its position stuck away from all the town centre action and if there was any justice in the pub world it would swap places with the Bull on Castle Street.

Could do with a good scrub! Some good people though or I wouldn't go in.

Ok best bar in Llangollen for beer with the Pon. place gets packed when groups on and looking throw the windows ready to go after Covid. would love to see this place Open again soon. bar staff great and beer always spot on. Was the welsh home of pot noddle according to there web site

Arrived at the Sun Trevor in our motor home to a friendly welcome. We were shown to a parking space with a lovely view over the Dee Valley. After we'd settled in we made our way over to the pub for a meal (the only price for staying over) Got to say, the fish and chips and burger and chips were very high standard and delicious. I'm a coeliac and I was very impressed with their knowledge and the gluten free choices on offer. The COVID rules they have implemented also made it all feel very safe. Thank you for your friendly hospitality

Lovely. Especially in summer if you get a table outside and watch the world go by. So glad family moved here so we can visit ilfracombe as often as possible

We love this place. Best two features are cask ales and live bands.

Welcoming staff, warm and friendly pub and excellent food. We stayed here in our campervan on Saturday night with a few of our friends. Free to stay as long as you eat in the pub, which I have to say was an absolute pleasure. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the food was well above par. Would definitely recommend and would stay again.

What a great pub. The drinks selection is varied and definitely worth a try. The staff are super friendly and the live entertainment, in this case Trollbangers, were superb. I fully recommend calling in whenever you are in the area.🤘😎🤘

Called here on Saturday night for a meal,it was very busy but was told it would be an hour for a table, anyway decided we would wait,only about 30 mins and we had a table ready,the staff were very friendly,great choice on the menu,it was delicious,worth the wait, will definitely call again next time we visit.

About a 5 minute walk from the centre of Llangollen. Excellent live music establishment.Found the beers and gins very reasonable and staff very friendly .We were made very welcome.

Always friendly locals in this hostelry. The pub boasts 5 real ales (ever changing) the juke box is excellent and the pub also has quality live music regularly. Nice seated outside area for the summer months.

Very good atmosphere buzzing with young & old so no problem with anyone going in Real Ale not bad quality average to low percentage (I prefer higher) & the Real Cider was great quality on tap & a great percentage (6%) liked it would go again definately & the service was very good & helpful Got to say good Gin selection as well

Proper local pub with friendly staff and live music. They also have pot noddles behind the bar for if you are peckish!

Good range of cask beer. Only open evenings. Aimed at younger loud music type crowd.

Absolute dive. Stank of weed and the door to the men's toilet was covered in wood where someone had put their fist through it. Everyone we spoke to raved about this place and when we went it was so disappointing. Staff were rude and I felt like because we weren't local they weren't interested. Went with a group of 15 and no one was impressed.

We were recommended this pub by our Hotel manager. And he was spot on. We had an excellent time. The pub was packed, the beer good and the live band was a pleasant surprise as they were actually very good. I would recommend this for anyone with a taste for proper beer and live entertainment, it isn’t the place for a nice quiet night out though if that’s what your after.

Bands have been awful everytime I've seen one here. Place is too small and the toilets are utterly disgusting.the outdoor area stinks and it's rotten too. Beer is good here but if you're in through the day and can get some space it's ok but that's it.

Popped in Saturday for a drink after a meal in town. Great real ale selection and lots of charm and character.

Great pub with great beer! Visited here saw a band, great atmosphere. Clean and tidy but tired in places. Very old pub with original slate floors, old wood and stained glass New owners appear to be in the process of doing it up, with obvious work on the ceiling of the toilets. This pub does not serve food.

Good atmosphere. Loved the pool table, juke box with a variety of good music and the ld pinball machine was a bit of fun too. Would reccomend.

Han pasado años, pero sigue siendo mi pub favorito en Llangollen. Mucha música en directo y un gran ambiente, eso sin contar con las Ales que sirven, incluyendo Shropshire Gold!!!

A fine establishment with real ale and pot noodles.

We had a wonderful meal here. The food was freshly prepared and delicious. Portion sizes were good and I would highly recommend. The guys who were front of house were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome.

Visited this place to see a band and extremely sorry that I did . Clearly this event was planned a while back , unfortunately somebody forget to tell the staff . No planning at all for a large number of people. & locking the front door surely this alone breaks fire protocol . The event was very popular and the place was jam packed . It was advised as an all you can eat BBQ which was included . What a joke the chef couldn't cope at the interval food seemed to be prepared for around twenty people and a queue of around 50 . Queues were getting very annoyed . The food bums were frozen and the meat was uncooked in the middle . A customer stepped into help the chef and she was subsequently throw out by the rudest landlady ever which ended in a scuffle and the police being called . Disgusting way to treat paying customers . The only positive was the band were awesome but the disgraceful behaviour of the staff ruined the evening.

A very interesting pub, fantastic jukebox and a very unusual pot noodle display behind the bar. Excellent range of beers, very friendly landylady/barmaid. Was very quiet which is a shame but I suppose a wet Tuesday in February isn't exactly peek sales time. Well worth visiting the sun if you are in the area

I have had a few nights in the sun! Its live music is always good with nice beer! A great night with not too many kids.
