I just bought a vanilla slice. Incredible! Crispy pastry and very good quality cream!The tastiest one I've bought for many, many years! Thank you!

The staff were extremely slow in finding items on the till and said it was due to them being busy despite the cafe being half empty. When the food was eventually brought, the cutlery was missing, and when I asked for some, I was told it should've been brought and that they would sort it. Nothing arrived for 10 minutes, so I asked again and had a for thrust towards me. The food itself was okay and wasn't really anything special. It was quite greasy but tasted alright.

The lady in the shop was absolutely lovely, with good local knowledge. Made a fuss of our pups !! (Washed her hands !!) Meat and potato squares were smashing as were the sausage rolls . Will return at some point xx👍

Bought scones and Bara Brith. The Scones tasted off with a rancid flavour and the Bara brith tasted old and dried out. Both were in date.

They didn't have what I what's in. But they said it would be well getting it and I can't wait when I come back next time I also went to the butcher's next door and there was a lovely lady served me. She recommends me to go to the thank you. Let's store and the other place for the breakfast lovely lady

Have bought numerous loaves of bread here on several visits and have always been treated with friendly courtesy by the staff. The shop is small, but they have a good selection. It's not a reflection on the bakery, but as I live over 40 miles away, I need to make an earlier start as some of the bread is sold out by the time I get there! That's my fault, but when I mentioned this to the lady last Friday, she responded by advising me that if I telephone beforehand, they will keep the order for me. Problem solved.

We purchased home-made rolls; sandwiches; savouries and cakes. What a superb selection we got. The quality was outstanding and the prices more than reasonable.

We called in here one lunchtime whilst caravanning in the area. It's a tiny place, but the pasties are truly excellent. The pastry is like good pastry used to be. It has a sort of glazed look rather the dry crumbly texture you usually get? I had a Cornish pasty or similar and it was the moistest, tastiest pasty I've had in literally years. I'd highly recommend Gerrards for a pasty or pie.

If you want Welsh cakes this is the place to go. Service was also very friendly.

This is a fantastic bakery. They have the best Eccles cake ever and I have had plenty. Well worth a visit.

Gerrards have always in my mind been the best bakers in the north west. Everything they do is delicious and the staff in their branches are always so helpful. The best part is that they are local and they in turn support local small towns like LLangollen and Gresford.

I love their savory food, pies, pasties and sandwiches but they also have Delicious cakes and reasonable prices

A shop that has charm and well established cake supplier.Take a lengthy look at the cakes and breads on offer and always take away a treasure of food served always with a smile

Great tasting fayre to be purchased here. Would highly recommend the steak pies, with lovely pastry.

we stopped here to take some goodies back home with us, we chose eccles cakes, welsh cakes and a rocky road slice. The welsh cakes were beautiful and the eccles cakes packed with fruit and buttery pastry.

A very welcoming young lady served me. Very polite and helpful. Other local customer helpful aswell. Bara brith, after having 3 in the week I had to buy another 2. Beautifull. Wish we had a bakery like yours in our town, nothing compares. Fantastic customer service and it may be a few months until our next visit but I will return. Oh and the little red dragons were very good.

Chanced upon this bakery, fresh oven baked pies, we bought the meat and potato pasty and a sausage, bean and cheese pasty, plus a couple of sticky Eccles cakes, whose pastry was so buttery they were to die for. Yum yum.

You gotta try the pasties, piping hot and flavoursome. A taste of home baking, but on the high street. Thumbs up from me.

This shop sells the must superb bread and cakes imaginable. It is well worth a visit if like us you were self catering. Bara Brith was mouth watering. Great staff too.

a lovely selection of hot & cold take out food , i had their own savory type sauasage roll , it was very good , we will retun when in Wales again .

Food is nice ,however phoned up to ask about something before visiting and the woman on the phone was pretty rude and abrubt ,couldnt wait to get me off the phone.

Lady that served us had brilliant personality, helpful with our choices a credit to the business, and the food was fantastic for our picnic

we went in and brought meat and potatoe pasties and two eccles cakes . the pastie was lovelay and had just been cooked . the eccles cake was the best we had ever tasted very moist and loads of fruit . good service and worth a visit . will go again in the future , pity it wasn:t local.. nice friendly staff .

Lovely little bakery me and a friend called in on our way back from quad biking on a cold wet day they heated our food up for us to save us being too cold lovely staff especially the younger girl with black hair and glasses.

Nice clean shop, assistant serving on her own but was very friendly despite being busy. Bought some mince pies which were lovely.

Caught my eye as driving past, stopped and bought some cakes. Seems like a home business and the staff were really friendly. Cakes were lovely. Ate them all on the drive home, didn't bother telling the wife they even existed!!

we thought that this bakery was expensive for the standard of produce.. £7 for a steak pie and 2 mini sausage rolls???. Nicer bakeries in Llangollen..

Stopped of on the way home to Derbyshire for some bread, absolutely gorgeous. The lady who served me was rather lovely too!

Good home baking from an established bakery, perfect for picking up supplies for a picnic or for eating on the go, all hand made and fresh.

We found the service good and the pasties and cakes super.It was very convenient and saved us time. We sat near the river and watched the world go by!

While staying in Llangollen we went into Gerrards because the cakes on display in the window looked mouth watering .Nice staff too, the lady who served us was very helpful and friendly.

Nice clean cake and coffee shop although the cafe was a bit tight on space it had a nice and friendly atmosphere.

This bakery sells the best bread in Llangollen, it's always so fresh and tasty. It has a wide selection of breads and cakes and pastries. Highly recommended.

Called in for sausage rolls and pasties, having enjoyed them from here in the past. Sadly we were left very disappointed. The pastry was greasy, the sausage meat like plasticine and the pasties were tasteless. They ended up in the bin and we moved on to Chatwins a few doors down the street which was far better.

We decided to have one of their batches with beef on one and pork on another. Cost £11. Maybe cos its the end of the day but not great selection and food was ok. Makes a change from fish & chips!

Popped in here for quick bite to eat. Food average and staff a nit abrupt. Felt like I was putting them to too much trouble. Thought food was a bit pricey for what it was.
