We visited on a sunny but cool lunch time out of the peak season. The location at the end of the beach and near to a car park is very handy. The beach view from nearly anywhere in the cafe is probably the stand out feature here. But the food and drink compete well with the view! We had toasties and milkshakes - both great by any standard. Possibly a tad pricey but the quality and convenience more than justifies the price. The small points for us that nudge this closer to 4/5 than 5/5 was the lack of obvious shelter available in bad (wet) weather - although plenty of umbrellas for the sun). The other minor issue for us was the general waste and mixed recycling - bins provided of course, which is good, but most items are served takeaway in wrappers which may or may not be recycleable once dirty? Either way, clearly not many customers seemed to be really paying attention to this.

After driving what seems like forever from Bethesda, we couldn't find an open public toilet so decided to look out for a cafe instead. We were fortunate to stumble across the dragonfly. We had lovely tea for two and our daughter had got chocolate, the shop was packed with Xmas decorations and was really beautiful, bright and clean. Our daughter didn't finish her hot chocolate and hardly drank any, as we were leaving the lovely lady offered to put it in a takeaway cup for her, which was really good and meant we could get back on the road. Although we didn't have food, another table had theirs brought to them and it looked and smelled amazing. Thoroughly recommend this as a place to stop for breakfast or lunch!

I went today with my daughter who is autistic. My daughter was excited (as most children are when they see cake!) So she accidentally tapped the glass.case that the cakes were in. Admittedly it may have been quite hard but my special needs daughter struggles with her own strength. The lady in the shop was very rude which already made me feel awkward. Then I told my daughter she couldn't have a milkshake, sandwich and cake (way too much sugar/food in one go!) So she struggled with my reasoning as many autistic children do. When I ordered the sandwich and a milkshake the lady went into the back to make.the milkshake and then proceeded to come out to say 'excuse me, no shouting inmy shop'! I was shocked and upset that anyone thought they could talk to my daughter this way and no concept that she may have special needs. The customer behind me even said to her child, 'wow don't you play up or she will say that to you!'. I stood there in shock and paid for my things to which the lady said to my child 'I hope you won't play up now that your mommy has brought you a milkshake'. This made me feel embarrassed and upset that she thought it was OK to shout at my child and infront of others. Being a parent of an autistic child is hard enough without being made to feel worse by adults who should know better! The sandwich was OK and the milkshakes definitely wasn't worth the money (tasted like nesquick with a bit of squirty cream and sprinkles on!). Whoever owns this bakery needs to put thier staff on customer service training (especially after reading some of the previous reviews) and some training on how to interact with special needs customers. I left the shop and burst into tears as I couldn't cope with the shock and embarrassment. It would be nice if the owner replied to this review but I very much doubt they will!

We needed somewhere welcoming to eat an early dinner prior to going to a show elsewhere in the town, Vasco is excellent. Perhaps more of a bistrot than a restaurant, it is relaxed and welcoming. The food is authentic, freshly prepared and wonderful. We shared a cheese and meat platter to start, followed by the mixed meats skewers. Washed down with a bottle of Portugese white, the bill came to an incredibly reasonable £66. Only problem was that service was slow - long wait for the starter, so we had to rush our food a little. Next time we'll pace that better ... and there will be a next time

This is now called Boba Geeks Cafe. We went in expecting the usually greasy cafe food with frozen chips . We were pleasantly surprised. Home made chips with sausage, egg and beans all cooked to perfection. The chef uses all fresh ingredients in all his food and does a traditional roast on a Sunday. We paid £21 for 3 meals and 3 drinks which I thought was a real bargain.
