The Little Tea Rooms in Gwynedd

We visited on a sunny but cool lunch time out of the peak season. The location at the end of the beach and near to a car park is very handy. The beach view from nearly anywhere in the cafe is probably the stand out feature here. But the food and drink compete well with the view! We had toasties and milkshakes - both great by any standard. Possibly a tad pricey but the quality and convenience more than justifies the price. The small points for us that nudge this closer to 4/5 than 5/5 was the lack of obvious shelter available in bad (wet) weather - although plenty of umbrellas for the sun). The other minor issue for us was the general waste and mixed recycling - bins provided of course, which is good, but most items are served takeaway in wrappers which may or may not be recycleable once dirty? Either way, clearly not many customers seemed to be really paying attention to this.

I went with my son for a mid morning snack and was appalled to find that the 2 rounds of toast he wanted cost an eye watering £5. The poor boy counted out his pocket money and it’s hurt my heart ever since that all his money went on this daylight robbery. Suffice to say I will not be coming back to this rip-off merchant.

Instead of my own review I thought I’d just list some quotes from my partner after she finished the poached egg hollandaise: “That was an absolute masterpiece” “Honestly that was an EXPERIENCE!” And after being asked if everything was okay with our food: “no it was too good and I ate it too fast and now I want more” So I think it’s safe to say she recommends.

It's a great little spot, right on the beach. Coffee is a little bitter for my taste, But the rest of our group enjoyed it. Had the vegan toasty, it was delicious.

We visited here as a family of 4. We came here last year and had amazing cakes so couldn't wait to return. We spent £27.00 on 4 drinks and 4 cakes. My son has coealic disease so has to eat gluten free. We asked the lady serving if the gluten free cake contained peanuts as he also has a peanut allergy. She replied nuts. She didn't know which nuts. He can eat other nuts. She went to ask which nuts but gave me the impression this was a lot of trouble to go and ask. Thankfully he could eat the cake as it contained only almonds. The lady serving us put the cakes in a bag and heavily put (threw) the cakes down on the counter. While serving us she was repeatedly sighing. The cafe wasn't busy at the time and it was still an hour to closing. The cakes were amazing but the service we received when ordering made us feel uncomfortable. The drinks were brought to us at the table and that was very friendly.

Went for a lovely walk on abersoch beach . End of the beach found this lovely location and fantastic views . Well organised and great service . Can’t ask for more than that .

Love visiting this place after a walk with the dog along the beach the location is perfect. I have always enjoyed the food and drink and the staff have always been helpful and friendly. If not wanting to walk there, there is a pay and display car park next to it and toilets. I think perhaps a few people may expect it to be like a little tea room with posh china crockery, It isn’t and if wanting this may be more appropriate to go into the village, this is a chilled a beach cafe with amazing views. Would highly recommend a visit 👍

Walked here for breakfast, first visit since it changed hands. As a party of 4 we all really enjoyed the food and the measures put in place were good. Few things spoilt the experience though. Bit annoying to have our drinks at a different time to our food (drinks were immediate, 10 min wait for food); no seating which was a shame so ended up sat on the beach, lovely morning so didnt matter, also over priced, for a family of 4 it cost over £35. It’s been a tough year so happy to support the new venture but probably will just have a drink next time.

So good - we went back three times! Delicious and fresh food. Breakfast rolls were fantastic and coffee great too. Good choice on menu and good hygiene standards in this pandemic. Hand sanitiser everywhere and signs requesting social distancing. Takeaway only at this stage and you can take food down to beach. Lovely owner who apologised for the understandable delays. Loved this place and the views over the sea are amazing! Well worth the queuing and the walk along the beach.

Visited at lunch time and had the most amazing sandwiches and coffee. Decided to go back for breakfast the following day and was equally amazed with the breakfast baps - lovely walk across the beach as well!

Excellent children’s lunch boxes of ham & cheese toasties. Lovely crab sandwich, and a real treat in surf and turf. Excellent rare beef and amazing freshly caught lobster. Well organised and friendly queue, with the distraction of the best view in Wales. Really hope you thrive!

Lovely treat for lunch today the surf and turf special was gorgeous the lobster was fresh out of the bay this morning. The kids boxes were lovely freshly prepared sandwiches which were gone in minutes and the cakes we had for pudding were lovely too. All there produce is sourced locally and freshly prepared well worth a visit one of our favourites

My first time visiting here under its new name. In a typically English way we don't tend to stray from what we know. But we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were lovely and the food equally so. We had traditional Welsh ham cheese and plum chutney toastie with as I found out all locally sourced ingredients. Did you know they buy the ham local but cure and cut it all themselves!! Couldn't be happier, check it out!

We came for a family breakfast yesterday on the last day of our holiday. We had been looking forward to coming and we were not disappointed. Great choice of breakfast options and everyone said their choice was delicious. I would particularly recommend the pancakes. The service was great and we enjoyed the beautitful view. We will definitely be back!

Rounded off a Winter's walk with the dog on Abererch beach, with refreshment from The Little Tea Rooms. The burger's were exceptional! All local produce, and environmentally conscious. Heaven sent!

Stopped in for a snack , ended up getting a sausage sandwich and a piece of cake and a coffee. They were all really good and the little seating area was nice for a break after a long drive.

I'm not sure i can describe the lamb burger i had! It was so deliciously moist and flavoursome, with delicious sauces and chutneys and beautifully fresh brioche bun - the flavours were so good together, it was incredible. The coffee was great and the white chocolate and raspberry cakes were again deliciously moist, sweet and zingy. Fantastic little converted horse box just at the entrance to the Holiday Park, so follow sat nat to the park and you can park there and sit outside is it is sunny.

The food on offer at the little tea rooms is absolutely stunning, they work with local producers where they can and you can just tell the quality of the food is amazing. Yummy food, cakes, lots of teas and really tasty hot chocolate, my only problem is I want to eat there every day

Absolutely love this little place, delicious breakfasts and lunches all made from local ingredients! The flavour combinations that they come up with in their wraps and similar dishes is divine, and afternoon tea the best I’ve had! Very highly recommended!

Visited a couple of weeks ago and these are our observations: cake and pancakes ok but eating both out of a box with a wooden fork, not so convenient and the taste of the wooden fork overpowered the taste of the food. My husband said his coffee was very average and my tea had the milk put in by the owner but I like strong tea and this was far too weak for me. We also had an issue with the teabag! Not sure how it happened but the water in the cup travelled through the teabag, down the piece where you would squeeze the bag and onto the table, making a mess everywhere. Our last issue was the fact the owners partner sat behind us and shouted orders to the young woman in the catering vehicle....not very conducive to a quiet cuppa and cake and embarrassing to listen to. I get the eco bit but we even had to clear away and put our rubbish in the bin! Sorry but sadly, it's not for us.

This place has the best, freshest, locally sourced produce ever !!!So lovely with lovely outdoor seating. Dog friendly too.

Stopped for a rare treat on the way to work and had a scrumptious breakfast. Local bacon, free range eggs on a local baker's bun with a lovely decaf latte. Great choice and very friendly service. Highly recommend the bloody mary ketchup too!

Perfect location to treat ourselves after our long walks, delicious egg and bacon sandwiches, yummy cupcakes, knowing they source locally produced products and being given a loyalty card is always a winner

We had afternoon tea delivered as a birthday gift for my mum, brilliant service and so yummy! Also all the packaging was paper or card, no plastic in sight, just perfect

This Lady does the most amazing cakes, they are gluten free to. Her tea leafs are amazing to and everything is well priced too. Definitely recommend. One very very happy customer.
