They give you a very good amount of ice cream and addition addings aswell, however, the ice cream was pretty quick to melt even though it was a cold day that day 😅 but overall very delicious

After reading reviews on Happy Cow, we were very disappointed with the vegan ice cream options available last Sunday 18th August. Although they state 4 vegan flavours and some reviews mentioned 6; there was only vanilla ice cream or a raspberry sorbet on sale.

This place looks really flashy from the outside but the ice cream isn't as exciting as it looks, my doughnut ice cream burger looked amazing but for over £5 I was expecting big things taste wise...it was stale and tasted absolutely vile! Very disappointing!!

One staff member was working really hard running the entire shop whilst the others didn’t seem to notice there was a queue or have any interest in girl job let alone act with urgency when faced with a big queue. Over priced and totally underwhelming in both quality and service.

Visited with the children after being to the beach. Not busy in the shop, only 2 local boys, already served. Both staff didn’t acknowldege us for over 10 minutes, only interested in chatting with the boys! After 10 minutes, left and won’t be returning due to this poor attitude. Residents in local area and won’t be recommending them to anyone either.

If you go to the seaside you’ve got to have an ice cream. Knickerbockers has a great selection of flavours to choose from. They also have hot / cold drinks. Get your ice cream, sit on the benches across the road and watch the world go by. The pistachio ice cream was very good. Not bad value either….

Delicious and almost a work of art. I fact I think it’s the best ice cream parlour I’ve ever been in. I had three scoops sundae. And the lady who served me made me the most delicious sundae and decorated perfectly. It’s just a pity that you can’t eat ice cream for breakfast, lunch and dinner with snacks.

Absolutely terrible service, your young staff need training!!! 2 girls working, only 1 couple being served in front of me who were Hogging the counter, I was stood there for 15mins waiting for at least acknowledgement or to be served by the other girl who was to busy at 5pm putting fancy cakes out. To make matters worse I the customer am on crutches so standing for to long. I used you many times and will no to be rushing back!!!!

High quality ice cream loads of nice flavours lovely warm welcoming atmosphere a must visit if visiting Barmouth just lovely

Who knew ice cream was invented by the ancient Chinese, bought to Italy by Marco Polo, then to France by Catherine Medici, and then to America by Thomas Jefferson. Finally it arrives in Barmouth, in a quaint pink sparkly shop where there were more choices of ice cream than decent conservative MPs in government! Gluttony took over and we had 2 scoops each. Only took cash….the service was awful one member of staff very rude! Said I’d ordered a flavour that I hadn’t ordered and told me I was wrong! Won’t be returning.

Please don't get rid of the custard chocolate cake icecream, absolutely loved this. Family tried others , all good . Very clean establishment.

Had a couple of visits to this ice cream parlour during a recent holiday in Barmouth. As others note it is a little pricey but I think for the quality of the ice cream and the cone and the range of flavours it is worth it. If it’s a decent weather day you can enjoy your ice cream sat on a bench opposite the shop looking out over the lovely harbour.

Had an amazing biscoff and salted caramel waffle …. However it is very overpriced for what you get!!! £9.00 each for a little waffle!

Very rude staff. Shop was busy so queuing to get ice cream. Young girl swearing as couldn’t see me to serve me. Then proceeded to slam ice cream around with a face like thunder. Husband asked what the problem was and was met with more abuse and swearing about how busy it was. Completely not appropriate to shout swear words in front of small kids and have such a terrible attitude when paying £12 for 3 small tubs of ice cream. Excuse given it was busy and a long queue.

Great hot chocolates with various options of style. Lovely donuts too. Well priced for the quality it is. Some seating outside.

We visited here today with friends and family and one girl dark hair foriegn accent was very rude to my friends 66 year old mom her serving of ice cream was significantly smaller than the other serveres baring in mind for two ice creams was 10 pound so she asked the girlvwhy hers was a lot smaller at this she arrogantly said well i can get them all exactly same size no you cant but you have to give the right amount to wat people are paying for dont go there its not worth the money you pay and defenatly not to be belittled by a staff member plenty much nicer ice cream shops and service in barnmouth

Lovely little shop, with some seating available outside. £3.50 per scoop, or £5 for two scoops either in a cone, or tub. Ice-cream choices were plentiful and tasted lovely, however it’s expensive if there’s a few of you in the group.

Whipped ice cream from machine, 99 looked fab but a little tasteless had better for the money. Server would benefit from using a napkin to pick up cones etc.

You can’t miss this ice cream shop on Barmouth harbour as it’s bright pink & full of glitz. Inside you get a choice of various ice cream flavours served in a huge waffle cone. We shared a rum & raisin/salted caramel cone. Very enjoyable. Quite pricey, but then most things are now !!!

Rarely do I rate so low but this place was so disappointing. VERY expensive.....1 scoop in a tub for £3.50 with a dry wafer!!! I had rhubarb and custard ice cream. The chunks of rhubarb were frozen solid and stringy and I never tasted custard! Other half said his was OK so maybe I just made the wrong choice but it doesn't get away from the fact that it's overpriced. Needless to say we won't be returning when visiting Barmouth again.

We picked this place following the stars on here and they do not reflect on our experience. Ice creams were horrible, powder taste, not made from fresh cream, go down the beach where you’ll find much better cream basen ones. Not mentioning the rude seller who raised voice on my husband only because he entered the place on left side (no information) only because he wanted show our little boy flavours to choose. Seriously?! Would call it turist trap!

Should I say more, delish ice-cream and not in a pot for a change! Thank you! Although I felt I had to be mindful about the ice cream I chose as some of the elaborate biscuity icecreams were spilling into the others so had some away from those. (Might be a easy implemented idea to keep Gluten containing ice-creams all on one end rather than dispersed throughout? )

An ice-cream is a must, this was a great tasty treat whilst we walked the prom and watched the sunset. The flavours were all very good and rich tasting, nothing watery about the icecream offerings :-D enjoy!

Every time we visit Barmouth we have to get a Knickerbockers! There is a massive selection of ice cream, sorbet, waffles, sundaes and shakes. Best ice cream in town!

Can highly recommend coconut flavour! Kids love a knickerbocker treat when we visit Barmouth. They associate going here with their holiday! Staff work so hard - long hours. Watch them still cleaning gone 9pm!

Lots of choice, chose 2 flavours: apple pie, and banoffee. Both had very artificial flavours. Banoffee was also slightly sandy texture. Otherwise creamy.

A huge selection of ice creams and sorbets. Definitely something for everyone. We had our ice cream overlooking the beach just across the road from the shop.

Wonderful choice and huge portions especially for small children!!! Plenty of nearby benches to sit on.

A marvellous choice of ice creams, some unusual, but all tasting delicious. Served by friendly staff who are quite happy to wait while you decide which flavour(s) you want.

Ice cystals galore - we've been going to Knickerbockers for 12+ years and our last visit 2 years ago was disappointing - we went again today and hoped for an improvement but it wasn't to be. The rhubarb and custard ice cream was full of crunchy ice crystals (like when a cheap ice cream melts and refreezes) plus it had the faint taste of mint. The Turkish delight ice cream tasted a bit soapy and was powdery in texture. I'm sorry to say we won't be back at £2+ per scoop - and I write this with great heaviness of heart

Wonderful ice cream,especially the Turkish Delight one which i have never found anywhere else. Staff were friendly & did not rush us which was good as we had children with us. Would definitely recommend it

I had the coconut ice cream which was unique and amazing! There were coconut pieces in the icing which was nice to chew on. My partner ordered the white chocolate flavour which was nice as well with white chocolate chips. However, both our ice creams melted extremely quickly (much quicker than a normal ice cream; picture attached). For context, the weather was grey and gloomy. It turned into liquid which made everything really messy. The waffle cone was quite thin and broke very easily too. I guess the uniqueness of the flavours was worth the money for the small treat.

We had an ice cream which was nice but not worth the wait or the price paid - think it the location that brings the custom.

Raspberry tasted of cheap raspberry cordial (chemical) and chocolate Ferraro rocher nothing like chocolate. Ice creams looked like they were full of colourings and E numbers with not a real fruit or flavour in sight. Avoid unless that’s the kind of thing you like

I went there today on the 27th and I had the Kinda Bueno and snickers and Ferrero Rocher with Nutella sauce which was amazing my mum had Vanilla or strawberry sauce which was nice too Would recommend this to people go to Barmouth and try it

If you want an ice cream, Knickerbockers Ice Cream Parlour is the place to go. There are so many flavours!! Covid regulations are observed; hand sanitiser is available and face masks must be worn. Once you've got your ice cream you have the option of sitting outside and eating it or crossing the road and eating it while looking at the harbour and the hills on the other side of the estuary.So many

Stopped off here as we ate at the pizza place next door.. Hoped for a vegan option and wasn't disappointed! There was at least 6 different choices of tasty sounding flavours. We both chose the chocolate sorbet and holy mother of all things tasty it was amazing! Probably the best chocolate ice cream /sorbet we've ever had! It isn't the cheapest place but it's tasty and worth paying a little bit extra for.

Visited here with my husband and two children on recommendations from family and friends. Unfortunately we were left disappointed. We ordered an iced cappuccino, the young girl serving didn’t know how to make it and it tasted awful. Also orders two ice creams, which were nice. My main issue was how rude the staff were. A male member of staff going to and from the back of the shop to empty water out never used manners at all. The shop is very cramped and I only took my children in to select their ice creams, but he just shoved passed us. I won’t be revisiting as the staff have spoilt my experience.

This is a ittle gem of an ice-cream parlour! Generous servings and so much choice when it comes to flavours. My favourite was the Nero Unicorn (black ice-cream with glitter, a bit messy but delicious!). The After Eight mint ice-cream was also amazing. Highly recommended.

My first knickerbockers of the year, and it was just as good as it always has been, it’s a must when in Barmouth. I tried the unicorn Easter on this occasion which failed to disappoint, I would highly recommend. Looking forward to my next visit soon.

Always visit when in Barmouth which is quite frequently as we only live 45 mins away. Fabulous ice cream, prices are on the higher end but definitely worth it. The waffles were delightful

Amazing choice of ice creams. We both had a 'Bockershake' i think its called. A large glass filled with ice of your choice then they do the rest. Awesome, just awesome

Amazing ice cream sundaes.The only ice cream I can compare this to is when I was in Italy it truly is gorgeous. Highly recomended and the staff are very attentive and professional creating the perfect sundaes with such love and pride

Yes, yes, yes! The place has THE BEST ice cream by far. Not only are there fun flavours such as Millions, Kinder Bueno and Turkish Delight; but they also have some really tasty sorbets - I had the Green Apple one and it was absolutely lush! I come to Barmouth a lot, this parlour is basically part of my childhood, but I am so pleased that it has only gotten better throughout the years, making it a great place to go even on a rainy day!It is a shame that there is no online menu (especially since Fudgeridoo has one) but that is only a minor issue that doesn't really affect the experience as a whole. Don't miss out on this one! Even if the queue is big, you will regret not giving it a go!

If you go to Barmouth, you must come here for an ice cream, in fact me and my family went here 4 times. The different flavours were so good, that all of them were are favourites, we even had an ice cream when it was blowing a storm when I lovely gingerbread ice cream.

Stopped in on a very windy rainy day so no queue. The day before had a very long queue as it was a sunny weekend.The lady serving changed her gloves and got out a new, clean scoop to serve my gluten free ice cream with cone. She did the non-gluten free one afterwards to save contamination, so felt very safe eating it.£5.50 for 2 ice creams with cones

We went twice on our weekend in Barmouth - had lovely hot chocolates on the cold day from here, and rum and raisin and biscotti ice creams the next day. The cones are substantial waffle cones and even a single scoop each was plenty for us as the cones were full to the bottom.

We always visit here when in Barmouth, lovely Ice Cream, really creamy, flavours like Rum & Raison, Birthday cake, Red velvet, Bubble gum, coffee, white chocolate, and some vivid colours. You may have to queue as its popular, but well worth the wait.

Awesome choice of ices social distancing was observed my little pooch friend got a yummy vanilla to get her nose into and i had one too

Always love visiting Knickerbockers’s, fabulous ice cream with a huge array of choices of ice cream, even a good choice of vegan ice creams too. Staff are very friendly and helpful too. Would definitely recommend visiting here when in Barmouth

Loads of ice cream to choose from here. Good value for money too. There’s lots of different options for different dietary requirements too. My family all really enjoy their visits here when we come.

Lovely ice creams, lovely location and lovely staff. A great treat to end the evening looking over the bay as the sun set. The girls were so busy they stayed open later to ensure everybody waiting was served. They did this with a smile and were far from grumpy about having to stay. They were polite, friendly and showed some personality. Thank you.

Nice place with a great view of the Harbour but we did think its quite expensive in comparison to other ice cream shops. Taste wise i cant really speak for all that on the menu but for what we had its was nice. Nothing special just nice. They do offer a huge range of different ice cream/sweet combo's aswel as every deserts you can imagen, we had 2 deserts of some kind and it cost over £20 Its a shame really as we would visit there alot more often if it was more reasonably priced.

Absolutely rate this place. If you only eat cruelty free food there are 7 flavours of vegan ice-cream here!!!!!plus they have gone out of their way to offer all the extras suitable too! Some of our favourites: Chocolate. Green apple. Strawberry. Pineapple. Lemon. Thankyou!!!

We ordered 3 sundaes and thought £6.95 each was expensive until we saw them! Wow they were huge and they tasted just as good if not better than they looked!! Staff were polite, however hard to hear underneath the covid mask and they have a vast selection of ice cream, vegan ice cream and sorbets... I would definitely go here again, but would share a sundae next time as my eyes were bigger than my stomach!!!

After saying I am hard of hearing 3 times a customer service lady laughed at me and carried on talking out of eye sight. I found that very humiliating and disrespectful.Product wise the shop. Can't be faulted but I will not return again after this

Stopped in for seaside icecreams 2 days in a row. The kids enjoyed the wide choice of flavours and i just tried some of the more random flavours. They were all lovely with a nice cone and wafer. We would visit again.

I've eaten quite a lot of vegetarian flavours over the years, both inside and outside the cafe. There are seats across the road looking out over the harbour with stunning views over the estuary, out to sea, across to Fairbourne and the beautiful Cadair Idris mountain range

When in Barmouth I have to pop in for an ice cream. Good choices there. Staff are sometimes not the most friendly or welcoming, but don't let that put you off. Enjoyed my ice cream back in September, on a nice sunny day.

Loved this place while in the area, it really is a sweet-tooth heaven. Lots to choose from including ice creams, milkshakes, sweets, waffles, fudge, hot chocolates & coffee. I enjoyed a peanut butter milkshake and my partner had one of the huge raspberry shakes with a fresh doughnut on topped with cream and melted white chocolate, in a glass cup that you get to keep. The lad behind the counter was nice & friendly. Knickerbockers is dog friendly which was why we made the visit in the first place

Quite possibly the worst ice cream in Barmouth if not on the planet. Ice cream had no flavour, just tasted icey. Uneatable. A total waste of money. Staff quite unhelful.

Fab visit.Very much enjoyed a rainbow cake. Kids had milkshakes (bit pricey) but had to substitute Oreo as they had run out they also had two scoops of ice cream each.You can see why it’s so busy but the staff seemed a bit frazzled and looked like they needed to go home and rest but the service was fine.

Lovely Ice cream, a bit pricey if your buying for 8, but its quality !!!! Many Flavours, its a bit posh, and they add a biscuit to the ice Cream cone for decoration, also the waffle cones are amazing.

Amazing ice cream parlour, so much to chose from. Only one girl serving which may be due to the fact that the weather was unusually hot for september but she knew what she was doing. I had fererro rocher sundae which was to die for and couldnt finish it. Cant wait to go back next year!

My little boy calls this ‘magic ice cream world’ I think that says it all!! We were here on holiday and this popped up as some where to visit, definitely a must if your in Barmouth 😊

This little place is a feast for the eyes and for the stomach!Lots of choice in terms of ice cream flavours, cones, cups, sundaes, freak-shakes, ice trays...the list and possibilities are endless. We passed many times and I don't think we saw it empty at any point. It's definitely a place that has to go on the list of things to do in Barmouth or even if you happen to be passing through.

It was "ok" Sorry,but having ice cream delivered whilst open and pretty busy,for me (and the children) burst the bubble. I thought it was 'homemade' it wasn't. I thought the fudge was,its wasn't! Its was also all hellishly expensive considering this! But you're on holiday so you do these things and it was pink and glittery ans that was like bees to flowers for the children! Nice place,clean tidy etc and lots of choice. Whilst on holiday, in Barmouth, should you? Yes of course!

Fabulous selection of ice creams and desserts, but for me the big shout out goes to the Midnight Mint ice cream 🍦 just delicious

Reasonable coffee and hot chocolate, and our milkshake fan was happy (turns out it really did bring the boys to the yard) but I'm marking down for the lack of an actual cup (instead of a disposable).

The pink and sparkly shop as you drive into Barmouth is s fab ice cream parlour. Ok so it’s not the cheapest of places but it’s an experience not to be missed. As you queue you’re quickly trying to make your decision before you reach the counter but there is so much choice!!!! It’s hard to decide. Your usual ice creams with numerous flavours, sundaes, waffles and so much more besides with hundreds of flavour combinations!

We was just walking passed and saw a very big que outside and thought we would have a nose to see what they were offering. The ice creams are a friendly size and very delicious

Amazingly huge selection of ice cream. They have the usual, along with more unique flavours. Picture is of Turkish delight. Such a colourful place. Highly recommended. And look at those custom wafers... Calling out for a social media tag!!

Whenever we pay a visit to Barmouth we always finish the day before going home with a visit here. The selection of flavours is unbelievable. Although quite expensive you pay for quality. My only comment is that when we take the grandchildren it would be nice if they have smaller cones for them as they never finish them off. Just an idea.

We were in Barmouth for the day for my fiancees birthday, and we just had food so we wanted a nice ice cream and here never lets us down, we really enjoyed the ice cream on the way back home.

First day at the seaside and as usual overindulged. But no regrets. Had a two scoop cone with malteaser ice cream. Was not disappointed. Except in myself of course for indulging in a calorie overload. The lady serving was polite and I received a decent portion with a scoop and a napkin. So all good. Plenty of choice and delicious ice cream. May go again if waist line allows.

Just couldn't keep out this place. So many different flavours of Ice cream to choose from. Rum and Raisen I found to be the best. Lovely and friendly staff to serve you also.

After a lovely walk around the shops we decided to treat ourselves with a sit down and an ice cream. Great choice of flavours, was just what we needed as the perfect way to cool down... to sit and watch the world go by. Would definitely recommend to others

This place is an assault to the senses. So many shades of pink and the choice of ice-cream and other deserts is immense.
