Had a lovely lunch with friends in this gorgeous, quirky cafe. Food was delicious, fresh and the cakes, scummy. Definitely recommend a visit, especially if you like art work as there's plenty on display.

Super fish finger sandwich on lovely sourdough bread and amazing homemade tartare sauce. Great new owners making their stamp on a regular local lunch stop for me and the family.

Stopped by for a drink with a friend and ordered a fairly obscure drink. The lovely waitress was happy to indulge our request, even though it wasn’t on the menu! The man making drinks not only made it, but knew the drink and gave us some back ground information about it! Our food was delicious. One of our party was vegan and was given some excellent advice when ordering their meal. We stayed drinking coffee and chatting away with one of the owners for a while. Excellent service and delicious food.

Great just great, fantastic food, service and prices . The menu was varied and our food was gorgeous, could not fault at all. The young man who severed us was so polite and couldn’t do enough for us. My dog was offered a dog biscuit and there was a dog bowl with fresh water for him

Lovely Breakfast served by lovely people so friendly the best anytime of the day and they say they are going to be opening 7 days a week soon which is great news !!

This is a lovely cafe, nice and bright, run by friendly and helpful people, in this attractive village. My friend had a take out coffee which he enjoyed, I had a '2nd breakfast' of a take out bacon sandwich. That's highly recommended, good value and plenty of bacon, a bit like the ones my Mum made! There's a good car park nearby in the village, and you can do lovely walks from there as we did today.

Found this place and visited for the first time. Welcome was warm, service was professional and the food was great, the price was very reasonable. Will definatley visit again in the future.

Visited Chester Zoo this weekend so booked a simple hotel no breakfast. Venturing out we came across this little gem. Arriving as a large group of 7 they happily seated us and were very accommodating to special requests. The “proper” pot of tea for one was adorable and the cooked breakfasts that followed were simply delicious and we had 7 clear plates! The owners and staff were absolutely fantastic people and it was so nice to chat with them which simply added to the atmosphere and enjoyment of our Sunday morning. Would highly recommend a visit to meet and experience the wonderful people, service and food.. just wish we were here longer to pop back for dinner!

A lovely little coffee shop in the heart of Hawarden. We regularly pop in for a quick bite to eat. A toasted bacon & egg bap (runny egg) with a latte or pot of tea and a slice of homemade Victoria or bakewell tart to follow, which always ticks the box. Simply the best bacon & egg bap and cake around and I've eaten some cake to know!

Had a very enjoyable breakfast. Sausages were divine. The staff very pleasant. Social distancing measures in place. Even the Stag on the wall was wearing a mask 😷😂

We stopped here for a takeaway coffee and some panini’s to keep us warm during a walk around the castle; a really authentic warm welcome and lovely service from locals - highly recommended will visit again when in the area.

myself and my partner had lunch, I had the gyros and she had chicken salad. Both meals were extremely tasty and service was brilliant, both warm and friendly. We would certainly recommend a visit as we'll definitely return next time we are in the area

I had the Greek food that's on every 2 weeks it was amazing. My partner is on keto diet at the moment but still able to fully enjoy the food. U get so much for the money I'm so full leaving pudding for 2moz. All food came with how to cook on the containers. Was absolutely amazing will be bk soon

Had the Greek Banquet to take home on Saturday. Recommend it. Food amazing, Choice of main, & pudding. Plenty of starters. We will definitely be ordering again.

Chanced upon this little gem after doing research in Archives. Lovely people and place. Good choice of food at great prices. All cooked/prepared to order. Clean and bright. Reluctant to post this review because it's a great place and want to keep it to ourselves. Well recommended and worth a visit.

Friendly service and an excellent breakfast..best hash browns I’ve had. would highly recommend . The menu is basic but if the quality is the same as the English breakfast your on to a winner. Great little cafe

This is a nice cafe in a lovely village opposite a lane to the church. It is not open every day and closes fairly early in my opinion. The cafe itself is quaint but the Greek theme I feel is out of place in a small pretty British village. I love Greece and Greek food and music but just not in this location. The owner tends to be a little arrogant and actually sings along with the Greek music continually being played. I do not like this. Only one mans opinion of course and I’ve only been there for breakfasts which are British cuisine. It is up to him how he sets up.He does it well though and the food is very good. Service is good too. Worth a visit.

Caught our eye looking for lunch. Fresh fried Place was a Special and Homemade Beef Pie £8.99 and £7.99. Lovely Cafe styled in a Greek theme. Polite welcoming staff. Very clean. Food was great and plenty of it.

We originally were going to go to Gladstone’s for lunch but changed our minds and called into The Gallery. We both had jacket potatoes with fillings and side salad. It was incredibly reasonable at nearly £12 for 2 jacket potatoes, a pot of tea & a soda.

This guy cooks a fantastic breakfast - the eggs, sausages & bacon are excellent quality, and always cooked to perfection and the hash browns crispy. With it come beans, mushrooms, tomato, toast,a pot of tea and an orange juice. Consistently excellent.

We had such an amazing time last night at one of Spiros and his team’s Greek evenings. The food was fantastic with a huge variety of delicious Greek dishes all served by a team of lovely enthusiastic ladies. There were 13 of us and we were hoping for a bit of a party atmosphere as we were celebrating a special birthday. We definitely got the atmosphere we were hoping for and had such fun after we had eaten with Spiros’s Greek entertainment. Everyone was up dancing and joining in after not too long. A perfect night all round.

What a splendid find! I have had breakfast and lunch here (not on the same day)! Home made food, beautifully cooked and served. As an ex home economics teacher, my standards are high, but I cannot speak highly enough of my visits here. I recommend you visit soon. You will not be disappointed! I drive 110 miles for the breakfast before a shopping trip to Chester! Thank you so much.

I don't think it very fair when people write reviews on small businesses. This coffee shop do amazing pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. I don't think u would be able to find pancakes in most small coffee shops 10 days before Xmas.

well today i called up and asked if they sold pancakes because i wanted a sweet treat. The greek man was quite aggressive towards me and the answer was no...heartbroken.

I visited with my wife for birthday breakfast and both went for the full English. Tea or coffee and orange juice is included. Sausages and bacon are good quality and the whole breakfast was cooked to perfection. We both enjoyed it and will be back

Had the very great pleasure of attending Greek Night at this adorable coffee shop which had been transformed for the evening! The atmosphere was electric!! Spears and Margaretta were simply delightful! The food was simply amazing and the entertainment superb!! Spearos showed off his party piece by picking up a table with his teeth then began Greek dancing with it!! Superb!! Had the best night ever and can't wait for the next one!! Thanks to all concerned! Fabulous evening !!

Me paré para almorzar y elegí una ensalada Cesar con pollo y frappe. La comida era muy sabrosa, y la generosa porción tiene un encantador ambiente de vacaciones. Me sentí como que me habían transportado a una isla griega en mi hora del almuerzo :-)

This is the best breakfast you will find anywhere. Not the cheapest around at £7.50, but this does include tea/coffee (filter) toast and orange juice. The quality of all the ingredients is superb. The owner can seem a little offhand but it's just his nature, he's a very nice guy once you engage with him. The only thing missing is black pudding! But that's a personal preference. Well worth a visit for breakfast or just a slice of cake and tea/ coffee.

We enjoyed a lovely traditional full English breakfast for £7 including a glass of juice and a choice of tea / coffee. Friendly staff and a laid back atmosphere.

As it was a beautiful February morning we decided to walk through the gate in Hawarden to the castle.We have lived here 27 years and never realised what we have on our doorstep..it was beautiful but a long walk.We were in desperate need of a cuppa so called in at The Gallery Coffee Shop for a spot of lunch...never been there before either..what have we been doing with ourselves? It was lovely..good choice of lunch dishes and a very good cup of tea...we will be back next time we are out walking..maybe not quite so far next time!!

Recently visited The Gallery coffee shop with a friend for lunch. It was a cold, sunny day and we noticed on the blackboard that Leek and butter bean soup was on offer. It was hot and delicious and served with crusty bread. We shared a cafetiere of coffee which we also enjoyed. The coffee shop is spacious and staff very friendly. Would definitely visit again when next in Hawarden.

Eat breakfast from here at least once a week as takeout........... freshly cooked to order......delicious. .......hot and tasty.....love the Greek music playing in the background as well as the blue and white decor........the coffee is amazing.......service is friendly, polite and efficient......love my weekly breakfast.......wish my waistline would allow a daily visit! Try the baklava with a black coffee..if you are longing for sunshine and a greek beach.....This fantasic combination will take you there!,,, Gorgeous....

Excellent as soon as you walk in they greet you with big smile show you to table Greek music playing in background , it's homely welcoming feeling and the Panini's we ordered were tasty and good value ..defo call again if in area...x

Arrived in Hawarden and had lunch in the Gallery Coffee Shop. Good menu choices and very nice food. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definately eat here again when we are back in the area. Recommended.

We called into this village Restaurant for an English breakfast. We were not disappointed. It is a very busy restaurant with lots of locals using it daily. Our breakfast was very tasty, cleanly presented as well as value for money. They have a varied snack menu also and they also have a regular "Greek Night" which is run by its Greek owner.

We had a great night at the "coffee shop by day, Greek taverna by night" in Hawarden. The food was lovely, and Spiros was a great showman, dancing, picking up tables with his teeth and being generally charming. Would recommend for a good night out in groups of about 8 people

Reasonably priced menu, good amount of filling in the sandwiches and nice extras like quality coleslaw, crisps and side salad. Compared with other eateries in the village, this one is definitely the best value for money. Staff were lovely too

I go here with a group of mummy friends and we sometimes take our little ones (1-4year olds). The staff are always brilliant with us all and the food is superb. It's a lovely little resturant and I would definitely recommend this family run business. Ps, the milkshakes are amazing!

popped in here for a coffee as we had already eaten breakfast, but the food on offer looked really nice, and the coffee was excellant, also was really nice as the owner is a Greek man and he had the greek radio station on which reminded me of my greek holidays really quaint place

We went to Greek night , greek owners are friendly and very welcoming. The Gallery is a good place to visit morning and noon . The owners do a greek night once a month and the greek food if you like is fresh made and awesome and the atmosphere entertainment fantastic. We go during day time for all day breakfast and lunch often and is it is really a pleasant environment and hosts fabulous with there hospitality and share history of Greece . Always a good choice of food; hot & cold drinks and cakes all freshly made and reasonably priced. We recommend our favourite local place to visit.

My wife and i were asked if we would like to attend a Greek night at the Gallery.we took up the offer and attended last Saturday 09/05/2015.We wern't sure of what to expect but neededn't have worried it was amazing.We dropped off a few bottles of wine first then went next door to the Fox and Grapes.When we got back Spiroshad some greek music playing.We took to our tables and Spiros put on the old Delia CD from Tom Jones what an ice breaker.The Food was brilliant as was the whole night.Brilliant just brilliant

Enjoyed a lovely All Day Breakfast, freshly cooked, not at all greasy and the sausages were to die for and I don't normally eat sausages! It came with orange juice, tea or coffee and toast, would definitely recommendThey also hold Greek nights, I believe on a weekly basis.

I have now lived in Hawarden for number of years , and had never been in the Gallery Coffee shop untill the past 2 weeks, and have been in3 times. Both drinks and food is very good, and nicely prersented very nice quality , and very reasnable, and the staff and the greek gentleman that ownes it are very nice and wellcoming.I enjoyed my first 2 visits , so I decided to take my 2 siste in laws for a birthday lunch , they both enjoyed it very much .I would advise anyone to visit The Gallery Coffee Shop Hawarden Flintshire

Friendly service and the quality of the food is excellent, (everything is freshly cooked to order). Great for breakfast, light snacks, lunch, cakes/pastries. Toilet facilities very clean. Couple of tables and chairs outside which is great on a nice sunny day.

Enjoyed a very tasty Chicken Coronation baguette and Latte coffee here. One of our party had the BLT which was a very generous size ! Reasonably priced food and service was good. The lunchtime that we visited it was busy but we got a table no problem. Will definately return.

Try the local fruit loaf, Bara brith. Always busy with locals, this small cafe is nevertheless offers a very warm welcome to visitors.

We called in for a light lunch and found this to be very pleasant. It's a cafe /coffee bar and not a restaurant so as long as you recognise this you can have a very pleasant lunch and coffee at very reasonable prices. The owner seems an interesting and friendly character but I can imagine to some people he could seem a little strange. We just had soup and a sandwich and a welsh rarebit followed by coffee all of which was very decent quality and very reasonably priced. This contrasts with our previous lunches at the Hawarden farm shop where the prices seem to have become very high for what is offered.All in all we liked this place and would recommend it for decent simple food and drinks.

Spiros, the greek owner of the Gallery does a Greek night once a month. If you want a good night out greek style, music, dancing and home cooked typical Greek food then you will not be disappointed here. We booked the whole room for our party of 28 and had a fabulous evening. There is no alcohol license so you are allowed to take your own drink but you MUST by soft drinks etc from the café otherwise a charge for corkage has to be made.Spiros is an excellent host providing typical greek entertainment and dancing.In reply to some of the comments made about his attitude please remember he is Greek and speaks English with an accent as all greeks do. This sometimes sounds short or sharp but really isn't the intention.All the staff at The Gallery are friendly and welcoming.

I had a very similar experience to Lucy. Having just moved to the area, I thought I would pop in for a coffee while my baby was asleep in her pram. Having struggled to get in with my pram (owner watched on without even offering to open the door), I was 'told' where to sit, and he shoved me and my baby at the back of the cafe by the kitchen! After ordering my coffee I asked how I could connect to their free wi-fi, to which the Greek owner rudely told me to wait while he saw to other customers, and manhandled my pram (with sleeping baby) out of the way, so two male customers could get past!! I was flabbergasted at this man's arrogance, and find it hard to understand how he has any customers with his attitude. The only positive is that the lady waitress was quite nice, and the breakfasts looked tasty...So, after being totally humiliated, I could not wait to get out of the place, and hasten to add wont be returning!

the gallery coffee shop is nothing special, the food was ok but you cannot go far wrong with a cheese and tomato sandwich, the coffee was not the best but i have had worse…….. all that said I have not been back since my first and only visit

We've been to the Gallery a number of times now and always had a lovely breakfast. service is very good, the owners are great, definitely worth a visit.

On entering the gallery coffee shop today, I walked towards the table I choose to sit on when the greek owner loudly shouted across the cafe that I could not sit there which disturbed the other customers. He pointed to a table near the door and told me I WAS to sit on that one, at this point I felt all the other customers stop and stare as I explained I didn't want to get cold. This did not matter to him and left us feeling very uncomfortable indeed.I feel that it is a customers right to sit were they choose as they are the paying guest. Due to the embarrassing incident I will never return again as he was so rude!!!
