ordered a small meal. first thing wrong was an object on it. then the meat was luke warm. had concerns about the quality and safety of what i was to eat, but during the "discussion" at the till, was told nothing was wrong with it. so really bad customer service too. used to visit here regularly ... no more!

This is just the most wonderful place..! Afternoon tea today - their own-blend leaf tea was to die for. Best "cuppa" we've had in a long time. The fixed-price afternoon tea came with our choice of sandwich from the main menu, a choice of home-made cake, and an extremely generous portion of bara brith. scones & Welsh cakes. Do this at least once in your life. The quality is exceptional as is the customer-service - real nice people working here. Vert traditional tea-room setting - about 20 covers inside? Seating also available outside and their are quite extensive trails up & behind the property to walk off some of the carbs ;) If you're visiting the Conwy Valley this needs to be on your list.

Had two delicious beef Sunday roasts cooked to perfection!! Really soft beef and lots of it, melt in the mouth Yorkshire pudding and roasties super crispy on the outside but super soft on the inside. Good mix of veg too cooked perfectly and pickled cabbage was just right. We also had a lush chocolate brownie sundae. Atmosphere and staff are lovely, with a really cosy interior with lots of cute finishing touches. Will definitely be returning!

We visited earlier for lunch and rang ahead to advise them of our very nervous dog Bertie who had never been into a pub before. They were so understanding and put us all into a peaceful room where we enjoyed our ham, egg and chips and my steak pie with beautiful chips and mixed vegetables. My pie was delicious and full of chunks of steak and the chips were outstanding too. The pub has car parking to the rear and the views from the pub garden(small and currently having work done) out to the canal and bridge(pictured) are postcard stuff. A gorgeous Welsh village pub with lovely welcoming staff serving excellent food and drink at reasonable prices. Thank you for making my wife, me and our two dogs Maddie and Bertie welcome. Visited 3rd December 2024.

Gorgeous spot for breakfast, lovely sunny seating right outside. The breakfasts we had were lovely, but the sausages could have been a slightly nicer quality. The eggs were cooked perfectly, which is a bit of a fine art! Will definitely return.
