Miracle Café Bangor in Gwynedd

The drinks came late. We waited 1 hour for 2 sandwiches. When the food didn't come, we left the shop. waste of time

We ordered the rice avocado salad which was mostly composed of onions and a eighth of an avocado. It is quite expensive for such a plate.

Used to come here every saturday morning. Food used to be great and service was the same. Sausage sandwich was all bread and burnt sausages, service was slow. 5 members of staff and all were stood with crossed arms. Definitely not the cafe i used to visit. Such a shame...

Something has changed. We waited 40 minutes for sausage bap and cold toast and jam. Hard butter portions. Service was basic. The waitress barely spoke and is only around when serving so we had to go to the counter to get anything needed. Tables not wiped from yesterday as we were first in at 10am opening. The music 'jesus' play list is a little over the top. Background music would be fine, even Jesus music but this was like listening to tunes on alexa at home in the shower volume. It's a shame, this used to be one of our go to breakfast spots 😕 could do with going back to the happy inspiring quotes rather than all religious. Miss the feel good vibes and happy staff. Atmosphere is lacking.

Really lovely place however won’t be visiting again due to staff incompetence. We ordered some salsa, guac and cheese chips and specified 3 times that we wanted the vegan option of this. Waited 45 minutes for it to come despite the cafe being empty except us and another 2 people who already had their food. When it arrived it was very obviously dairy cheese which I can’t eat, the staff seemed nonplussed and just asked “well do you still want it?” Didn’t bother to offer to remake it with vegan cheese and we had to ask for it to be taken off the bill. The girl at the till apologised however the one who took our order just stood there scrolling through her phone. I think we just caught them on a bad day looking at other reviews, but super disappointed given the wait when we could have gone somewhere else that would have catered for us.

Lovely caffe love the vibe. Great staff, really looked after us and friendly. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Clean and airy. Everything feels in good condition. Might not be the best place to go with mobility issues as the toilets are downstairs but there is changing facilities for babies.

Wanted white coffee, but ended with black tomuch over fill mug that filled my soucer, ended calling for cuttery when received meal,,dirty spilled glass could of whipe clean,tomany staff asking if your ready before you can have a chance read a meal menu,no butter on the toast ,food wise very dry

Visited Bangor today, in the rain. Found the Miracle cafe and liked the look of it ( independent, not chain). I had the tastiest chicken caesar salad I've ever eaten and my partner had the mountain burger ( also the best). Loved it! Next time we're in this area we're definitely coming back. One small issue, my coffee was lukewarm, but still good.

Food a little pricey but place is amazing

It's an intriguing and intrinsic part of Miracle Café, that there are usually more staff members fooling behind and around the bar than there are customers. Rumour has it that the bulky dude who is harassing sit-down customers, seniors and gullible domestic tourists who are too awkward to refuse, with spiritual therapies is actually Bangor's favourite local madman à la Dostoyevsky. Be that as it may, he never fails to impress. The hideously faded quarter-sleeve tattoos that he probably got on a whim, the greasy beard and the baseball hat he bought from the children's charity shop opposite the café, are a testament of Christianity's longstanding belief that we should always try to help and instruct the poor and needy. “Give to the one who asks you," the Bible says, "and do not turn away from the one who wants to borrow from you” (Matthew 5:42). The astute customer, of course, won't fail to notice that his healing practices stand in sharp contrast with the café's musical repertoire: an endless, repetitive, cherry-picked playlist extolling the greatness of our good old buddy Jesus. What's more is that we are told that every item on the menu is a taste of heaven. A cheery yet somber sign on the back wall exhorts us to 'expect a miracle'. The miracle, of course, would be getting our orders right.

Little hidden gem, perfect combination of pancakes

My daughter and I decided to have breakfast there. I had the full English and my daughter had the vegetarian full English. I don't particularly like black pudding so when I ordered, I politely asked if I could exchange it for an extra sausage instead. The young man who served us promptly refused and said that 'we don't allow any exchanges'. I thought this was a bit off, especially considering that the price of an extra sausage is the same price as an extra black pudding on their menu. The food arrived and the presentation looked decent enough. However, the food was luke warm and with the exception of the sausage, the food was very bland. My daughter's veggie version wasn't great either and she ended up leaving half of it. On the positive side, I like the cafe itself - it's tastefully decorated and nice and airy, although it was very quiet considering it was mid-morning on a Saturday. When it comes to the breakfast, I just felt that it was over-priced and we came away feeling underwhelmed and wishing we had gone somewhere else. I don't mind paying a bit extra for something special, but £28.85 for two breakfasts and 2 coffees didn't feel like value for money in this case. I don't think we will be returning, which is a shame as it's a nice place.

We called in today as the place we were meant to go was full, I am so glad we did. We were greeted warmly by staff and led to a very comfy table. We ordered a sandwich each and when they came we could not believe the size of them. I had a ham salad which had the thickest pieces of ham, and rammed with fresh salad. They came with chips and coleslaw. The chips were delicious. The place is lovely and relaxing, spotlessly clean and excellent value for money. We will be back for sure.

We love the Miracle Cafe and eat there quite often. The food tastes so good and the service is great. You should have a look at the Miracle menu!

Really really disappointing food. Partner had "chicken in a basket". 4 very thin chicken goujons, so overfryed so as to be inedible, could barely cut them apart without sawing them with the knife. I had a breakfast, which was very average and used poor quality ingredients, sausage full of gristle. When I went up to pay, I mentioned the poor quality meals and was told "the chef is just getting to grips with the new menu". Maybe they should get to grips with the very basics of deep frying before sending out such awful plates. I was then subsequently charged full price, couldn't be bothered disputing the payment so I just paid and left. Won't return.

We must have walked past this so many times ! Today in a desperate search for somewhere decent to eat we popped in. The staff are incredibly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Homemade cakes and scones on the counter is always a good start . We ordered the American breakfast and the house burger whilst my granddaughter (21)months had chicken nuggets. The menu is comprehensive and a pleasant escape from the norm ! Food arrived in a timely fashion and was well presented. It really tasted as good as it looked. Proper homemade chunky chips with the burger and nuggets . The nuggets were also very good and we discovered taste even better dipped in maple syrup. What a gem of a place. We both did a little happy dance ! We shared a scone with jam and clotted cream for pudding. Scone was a little overdone for our taste but that's just down to personal preference. Ambience was also excellent. Highly recommend.

A similar negative experience last year but I thought I would give them a second chance.I am a pensioner on crutches but chanced the hike to the cafe,negotiated the big step,and was invited to sit and given a menu to order food.So in good faith(pun not intended) I ordered veggie breakfast to be told that breakfast was not available after 12, despite the online menu saying 2am.So I ordered a alternative to be told that they were not taking food orders for at least 30 minutes.I said that I would order and then wait To be told that I could not order food,only drinks, despite being given the food menu!! I gave up, the cafe was only half full,all I wanted was my veggie breakfast and was prepared to wait 30 minutes.Another customer was told 15 minutes. I did try but was not prepared to sit there until they decided when I may not order so left.A good way to lose customers.Several good cafes in Bangor where you don't need a miracle to get served.

Wonderful cafe, beautifully decorated, and serve great food and coffee. The coffee was spectacular, and clearly of a good standard, and very competently made. We had 2 breakfasts, and 2 coffees. The quality of the produce was clear, and excellent. Served by attentive staff, made for a wonderful experience. Will definitely return

Absolutely the best brunch I've ever had, the table service by lulu was brilliant, I would rate this cafe 10 out of 10,and I recommend you try it out when your in Bangor.

Top top food. Not a vegetarian or vegan, but can heartily recommend the falafel wrap and sweet potato, coconut and chili soup. Mrs had fish finger sandwich and daughter had Mac and cheese with bacon. All clean plates. Super.

I had a chicken in the basket and it was excellent - the best one I've had. The breadcrumbs were so light and tasty. Can't remember what my daughter had. I also had a strawberry and lime drink, daughter had cherry and vanilla (I think!). Both were lovely). Highly recommended as friendly, quick service with amazing food!

Decor inside the cafe is nice and it’s great to see a business on Bangor high street busy, which it was when we visited. I had a frappe which was okay, if not a little watery. The food was good however not something that I would rush back for.

1st time here , loved the wooden decor , easy to understand menu , I had the mushroom soup and half a sarnie , the soup was a winner. Would I come back ? ………..yes Menu is a bit pricy .

Gr8 food and service. The acoustics are weird, though, and you only have to raise your voice a little, and the entire restaurant can hear you. One person talked at the top of her lungs without taking a breath for the entire 40 minutes we were seated. I was glad to get out of there...

What a surprise! ☺️ Hidden inauspiciously on Bangor High Street is the Miracle Cafe. Friendly welcome and great table service! The breakfasts are huge and perfect and served up to 12.00 noon. The lunches are huge and really tasty. This is a very popular place by people in the know. If you are looking for a proper tasty lunch with some class in Bangor, look no further. Reasonable prices as well. Recommended without reservation! 😀👍

Amazing food, lovely atmosphere, great friendly helpful staff, clean toilets, nice layout, dog friendly too…We travelled here purposely to enjoy some food and ask for some miracles through prayer, as we have heard and read about this from different sources. We have had a-lot of family struggles in recent week so felt this was exactly what we needed, however unfortunately as it was very busy we couldn't get time with someone for (Miracle Menu) If only there was more staff or volunteers as this is what the miracle cafe is all about, showing the power of God’s healing /help through prayer.

Four of us with very different dietary needs and preferences were well served and all the different food we ordered was very tasty. Welcoming and comfortable. Appeared to be very careful with avoiding cross contamination for gluten in the kitchen because the waiter apologised for the wait as they had to clean down the work surfaces before preparing my food. (The wait wasn’t too long). We would certainly go back again if we visit Bangor.

We called in here because of the name, Miracle Cafe. We enjoyed a lovely lunch, we decided to order fish and chips, having not eaten that fish for a long time. The fish was enormous and beautifully cooked, the batter was light and not overdone. The chips were a bit 'county's but okay. The staff were lovely and gave us a warm welcome.

Okay so I’m excited about this café & its concept, maybe a tad biased because it is a Christian establishment & I have never had experienced a café with this concept. The menu was quite exciting it offers a paid physical & free spiritual menu☺️ the staff are personable and the general ambience is nice. I am tempted to give all the details of the menu how would you, dear reader satisfy your curiosity😄? I had breakfast and I think it was good. Depending on choice, I believe it is reasonably priced. In all, I believe I would be visiting again.

A very laid back cafe with cheerful staff. They have a separate gluten free menu with a good selection of veggie and vegan options on the main menu. My wife had the gluten free American style pancakes, as you can see gluten free does not have to be boring. A taste of heaven in Bangor.

What a wonderful experience! First impressions absolutely beautiful, gorgeous, relaxing, rustic feel. Staff are all very welcoming and got us seated straight away. Then my boyfriend spilt a full diet coke all over the table and all the staff were so polite and even had a joke with us about the situation. We ordered and food was piping hot and on the table within 10 minutes. I can’t stress this enough this was some of the best food we have ever eaten! Saying that you would think it would be pricey but I would’ve paid double what I did for the overall experience at the miracle cafe! So sad we were too full for a dessert!

Great little café in the heart of Bangor town. Nice vibe revolving around spirituality with the offer of various spiritual/prayer "freebies" with every order! The staff are very welcoming and accomodating and the food is great. Wide selection of gluten free and vegan options available too, including a gluten free vegan brownie with vegan cream. Yum!

Visited twice now, every time the staff are very lovely people they have been lovely, it’s just the tracks nice people and it’s a fresh place in Bangor there are very few places like this in Bangor so it’s a great place to go, every time I’ve been the food has been lovely and they make it fresh I asked the guy yesterday about the coffee And he said it’s locally sourced “I think my memory can abit unreliable) so it’s helping with locals. I would 100% recommend

I ordered a veggie burger which was delicious and well presented, I highly recommend the chef's own burger sauce. The cafe itself was a nice relaxed atmosphere, good decor and the staff seem to genuinely care about their customers.
