We found this lovely tea room after visiting the castle. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great food, lovely cup of tea. Will definitely come again if visit Conwy and highly recommend.

After spending a couple of hours wandering around the castle we needed a drink. There are several places to have a brew but this one had a gift shop so we could browse for naff gifts nobody wants!! The coffee was great, the atmosphere welcoming and the proprietors a wealth of local knowledge. We chatted for what seemed like ages and left feeling refreshed. We followed their advice and went to Aber Falls. Brilliant day out and a special thanks to them for recommending it. Thank you both

After dropping my wife and our grandson off at toddlers, I've been in here a couple of times. The coffee is lovely and the owner is very nice and chatted with everyone.

A lovely cosy little tea room, in the perfect location for a hot drink to warm you up after you visit the Castle. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were all friendly. Our drinks were delicious too and well priced.

What a delightful place to stop and re-energise after a lovely day walking round Conwy and the castle. The food and drinks were amazing and we were made to feel so welcome by new owners Karen and Andy. It really is a little gem of a place

This café is an absolute gem. The owner and his colleague could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The milkshake our daughter had was exceptional and my husband’s latte was delicious (Dwyfor Welsh coffee brand). We will definitely be back.

WE COULD NOT FAULT THIS VERY WELCOMING LITTLE CAFE WHERE I WAS OVER FACED WITH THE PORTIONS IN THE GENUINE PLOUGHMAN'S LUNCH, SO THE SURPLUS CHEESE WAS WRAPPED FOR ME TO TAKE HOME. MY PARTNER WAS IMPRESSED WITH THE SUBSTANTIAL HOME MADE VEGETABLE SOUP FOLLOWED BY CLOTTED CREAM & JAM ON THE TASTIEST LOCALLY SOURCED SULTANA SCONE. ALL VERY GOOD VALUE, WHILST DAILY THOROUGH HYGIENE ROUTINES SHOW REAL COMMITMENT. MANY THANKS FOR ROUNDING OFF OUR LONG WEEKEND HOLIDAY BEFORE WE SET OFF FOR HOME. DAVID & LORNA.

We visited the Castle Gallery Tearooms in Conwy on a midweek morning in August after a viist to the castle. We drove to Conwy and there is a good amount of (pay & display) parking nearby. The tea rooms looked very inviting as we left the castle in search of a drink and a snack. The tea was just right and the slice of cake we were served was huge! The café was reasonably busy but we managed to find a table for two and ordered a cup of tea and a slice of cake for two. The tea room is very relaxing with its white painted chairs and small tables lit by the afternoon sun coming through the windows. The tea served in a pot was just right and the slice of cake we were served was huge and very welcome after our trips up and down the various castle tower staircases! The Gallery Tearooms are split into two halves namely the tearoom and a shop selling all manner of souvenirs of your visit to Conwy and North Wales. Thoroughly recommended if you are visiting Conwy.

Just stopped for a warm drink and snack after visiting the castle. The Tea room has a lovely friendly atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble for the owners. The food was well presented and tasty. Lovely cakes too! The tea room is under new management since our previous visit last year and we will definitely be returning.

Stopped in for a toastie prior to visiting the castle. Great location and really friendly staff. Very welcoming indeed and the toastie filled a gap.

My wife and i visited this place for a coffee to warm up after being caught in the rain we have two small dogs so couldn’t go inside so my wife went in to order two lattes my wife was ignored for quite a while before the elderly woman took our order the elderly woman pulled two cups out and my wife said oh are those for our lattes and the elderly woman very abruptly said NO those are for another order no smiles no how are you where are you from are you here on holiday all the questions you would expect from someone who’s in hospitality to be honest if I had gone in I’d probably told her to go away nicely with two words but we did have a warm coffee outside and the man who works there offered to wipe down our table but by that time the moment had gone I have some advice for this cafe next time you shut up at night DON’T reopen just retire and save the good paying hard working public some money. AVOID THIS PLACE.

The older woman muddled up our order. When this was pointed out instead of apologising she was rude. Food was all right but attitude to customers appalling. They are in the wrong trade.

Visited with the family after visiting other parts of Conwy. Visited for something to eat. One of the signs said Tea and Cake £3. Asked for it and told it wasn't on today even though it didn't say any specific days or anything. Asked what kids meals were available and they read them out so quick we didn't hear half of them. Asked if there was baby changing facilities but told had to go to the castle and use theirs. Food wasn't great either, sandwiches were rather dry. I will not be returning to this place.

The elderly lady was VERY rude and needs to do a course for good customer service. She walked away into the cafe when there was a queue in the gift shop and started pottering around n there. Items wrongly priced or no prices on goods. She definitely needs to retire. Will never return. Shocking experience. Walked away empty handed. Would NOT recommend.

We had worked up a thirst and appetite walking around Conwy Castle so decided to treat ourselves to a cream tea in this small cafe which is just outside the Castle entrance.It was a beautiful day so we sat at one of the tables outside. After ordering and paying inside a lady brought our cream teas and very kindly some extra hot water for me as I like my tea weak.The scone was warm and very tasty and was served with small individual pots of jam and clotted cream. The cost here was very reasonable for a cafe so close to a popular tourist attraction.There is a small gift shop inside and also a toilet for customers.

Went to buy a drink using a debit card and was told i needed to spend £5 or no sale. I didn't want anything else so no drink on a very hot day. You cant win...shops dont want cash due to covid but equally attempt to make you spend more. Terrible behaviour.

This wee cafe is located just by the Castle entrance. The food is all hand made and delicious we had teh special which was a pot of tea each with a scone and cream and jam. The staff re real genuine and love looking after us visitors.

I’ve been to this place twice now and I highly recommend it! Very cute and good value for money! It isn’t that big inside but in the summer they have seating outside! They also have a little gift shop you can look around and ice cream to grab on you way out!

This tiny little place is a must. I ordered the cream tea and apologetically the guy told me that they hadn't had their scones delivered and offered me something else to go with the bara brith and welsh cakes at no extra cost. I chose the bakewell and took it with me to go. The cream tea was amazing. The bara brith was the best I've had. The service was above and beyond.

We popped in here for a drink after visiting the castle. It is a very cosy tea room. The staff were friendly and we enjoyed our drinks.

We ended up eating here twice, and both meals were exceptional! Looks like just a small tea place, but they have meal options that are generous portions, very good, and reasonable prices. Quick and friendly service - the room is a bit small, but they do not appear to let that cramp their style. LOVELY experience (why else would we go twice, right?).

Would highly recommend this establishment! Conveniently located by Conwy castle car park. Everything is home made and to our surprise a welsh speaking waitress, which is a rarity these days! The staff were very helpful and extremely pleasant. I had the castle gallery afternoon tea which consisted of a choice of sandwich, scone with jam and cream and either tea or coffee, a bargain at £6.95. My partner had a tuna melt panini followed by a scone with jam and cream. The food was delicious!

We stopped in here at lunch when visiting the castle as it is literally next door but one. We had the afternoon tea at 6.95 which included 4 beautiful egg sandwiches and a scone with cream and jam. We all enjoyed our dinner immensely except my partner asked for soup which they forgot and then bought it out without butter for the roll. The chocolate milkshake was also not nice and there were wasps inside. However this place is well worth a visit

The staff here were very friendly and welcoming. Good with kids. They even offered to lend us an umbrella so we could walk round town when it started raining! Unfortunately the scone we had was a little dry but could have just been that batch. Very nice little tea room. Would try it again.

Great service, friendly and efficient. Food was terrific! Delicious sandwiches, great bread, good selection of fillings, but the cake was an absolute delight! Lovely setting, and ideal for a stop off before or after a trip to the Castle or a walk on the town walls. Highly recommended for lunch - overheard someone else come back in from outside to pass on compliments for ice cream taken away earlier.

The cafe is spotless very clean, the staff are friendly and are happy to help. The food is beautifully fresh the cakes are very nice. A lovely place to have lunch after a visit to the castle sells ice cream and also a gift shop.

After a chilly easter dragon hunt around the castle, we came here for lunch. We found hand made sandwiches, home baked scones, delicious ice cream, some fine coffee and friendly attentive hosts. I could have happily spent all day here!

Visited the castle and then stopped in here for a snack before a long car journey home. Very nicely decorated in a shabby chic fashion. Good selection of cakes to choose from. We had a teacake, chocolate cake and carrot cake all very nice. Whilst are food and drink was being prepared we wandered around the well stocked gift shop to arrive back to our table where the goodies were waiting. Very reasonably priced.

A lovely cafe just by the castle enterance, it was so nice and warm after a chilly morning around the castle. The cheese on toast is excellent, there is a lovely deli down the stairs that leads into the high street.

These tearooms are perfectly placed near the entrance to Conwy Castle, which doesn't itself have a café. Compact, nice décor, friendly staff and good coffee, cakes, sandwiches, ice cream and much more. Collocated with a gift shop. Highly recommended.

This was a quick visit for a coffee before leaving Conwy. The range of food and drinks was good with some hot snack food also available. We did not eat but what we saw made our mouths water. The taff are friendly and helpful and he whole place was clean

Stopped by for a light refreshment and as we had our dog with us decided to eat outside. Pavement is a bit narrow and tables are fairly close together, so difficult for people to get by with only the pavement area for the dog to sit, resulting in us having to keep moving the dog about or people crossing into the car park. Nice tea and cake which was average priced and service was OK.

I've been meaning to write a review for this places for ages... but even though its been over a year, I can STILL remember just how amazing that egg mayo sandwich and jam and cream scone was... in fact, I could just get in the car and drive down there for one now. Delish. Great service, reasonable prices and right next to the castle, would HIGHLY recommend.

We visited here after a trip to the castle and we had lovely homemade food in a quaint setting. The food was good quality including the lovely Rodda's clotted cream for the scone which is always a bonus in my eyes.It took a while to come but that is because they were making it fresh, but it was definitely worth the wait and next time I am back in Conwy, I will be visiting. We ordered two afternoon tea's and two sandwiches for the children and cakes, it was good value.

Visited here prior to our visit for a snack. I was asking them about car parking as I planned staying overnight on my motorcycle. They very kindly offered me a secure area behind the cafe to leave it. Nice people and nice food with tables outside in view of castle. Will go again.

Called in here after visiting the castle, needing to refuel after all those stairs. Settled in a Welsh cream tea, an interesting change to the normal scones, jam and cream. Besides the standard scone, it also included a Welsh cake and bara brith. I particularly liked the bara brith. Staff were pleasant, service was quick, and there are some nice souvenirs in the shop attached.

Welcome respite for a weary traveler. I had a carrot and squash soup and cheese and tomato sandwich for £6 and a bottle if water for £1, not bad for a tourist trap. Homemade, fresh food. People were kind and kept the small town feel of Conwy.

Found this place by chance and decided to have a look in. On looking in I was not disappointed as one half was a lovely gift shop and the other half was set out as a cafe.Serve and greeting from the people running it was very welcoming. I sat and looked at the menu and decided to have a coffee and a piece of carrot cake. Both the coffee and cake where delicious. The carrot cake was absolutely wonderful and I can honestly say it was the best carrot cake I have ever had and believe me I have tried many as its my favourite cake. Need a rest and some refreshments then visit here as I'm sure you won't leave disappointed. I would like to wish the owners all the best for the season and for their business to go well as they deserve it to.

We used this very pleasant establishment twice during our visit to Conwy, the first on our arrival for drinks and teacakes and the second for afternoon snacks. Everything we had was very good, particularly the Welsh Dragon cheese in the Ploughman's. A cosy little cafe with very friendly staff. The attached gift shop is worth a browse.

Visited here just before going into the castle. It is a very pleasantly run tearoom, food was really nice and the owners were lovely. Would defiantly recommend coming here for a bite to eat before or after the castle.Very good value for money and also a very good choice on the menu. The tearooms is very clean and uncluttered, it was also quite while we were there a started to pick up as we left.
