Great pub, really warm welcome from the lovely landlady, food was delicious, as was the beer. A great visit. Toilets were spotless.

My friend and I went for lunch today it was fab food and the service was excellent. I had the fish and chips with a pint for £9.50 great value and the chips were to die for. My friend had the fish finger sandwich and onion rings which she said was equally as nice. Great place to have lunch it's our go to place now x

A few weeks ago. We were in Abergele(Tesco’s) and we popped into the George for the first time. £13.50 for two mains. Monday-Thursday. You’d expect cheap and cheerful ?? We eat out a lot and usually the mains are £16-20 each. From the moment we walked into the pub. I was blown away. The bloke behind the bar I couldn’t praise enough. Friendly, helpful and nothing seemed too much trouble. Top Bloke ! Apologies I don’t know your name. Honestly the food was exceptional for the money. Exceptional !! Perfectly Cooked !! As I said £13.50 for two mains. Less than £7 a main. Crazy. Absolutely brilliant, If you’re passing or live nearby you’ve got to pop in. Brilliant pub !! Happy to recommend this pub all day long. It’s a shame I don’t live closer

A nice small pub with nice & friendly service! A nice warm fire to sit near!

Visited for lunch after seeing the offer for 2x mains for £13.50. Loads of choice on the menu, our meals were delicious, good portions and excellent value for money. I used to be a regular at the George many years ago, but haven’t been in there for years and this was my first visit with the current land lady in charge, and have to say what a nice and welcoming atmosphere the pub had. It’s great to see the George is once again in safe hands. Thank you and we look forward to returning soon.

Great atmosphere and the drinks are reasonable

Lovely food, great staff and a nice relaxed atmosphere! Would definitely recommend a visit, we popped in as we could smell the food from the street!

Went there today 21st January for lunch my wife is disabled with a scooter the landlord noticed our situation immediately and politely helped us and helped us to our table and was very pleasant and respectful the staff was very pleasant to and the food was excellent, place very clean ,the landlord also helped us out aswell. Highly recommend. Thankyou all.....

Lovely friendly pub, fabulous atmosphere and the food is delicious and plenty of choice, all at a great price. Michelle and her team go above and beyond and it really made our night, we had a fantastic time. Can’t recommend The George highly enough, it’s an absolute must when in the area, you won’t be disappointed 😁

Fantastic experience visiting Father Christmas. Excellent hospitality, really relaxed atmosphere for the children and clean facilities. To top it off, our visit was amazing value for money. We are very lucky to call this our local!

Lovely food and dessert 🍨 but they were that nice. I forgot to take a photo. Staff were friendly and very kind with little Harry as he only wanted carrots 🥕 to eat, and thats what they gave bowl of carrots. And to top off the afternoon, a surprise visit off Santa Claus 🎅

Just been in for christmas dinner with friends and children, food was fantastic!!! Couldnt ask for better service and to top it off santa was there!! Santa was amazing with my son and made his day!!! All staff went above and beyond to make sure our trip was great !!!! Great atmosphere would definitely reccomend !!!

First time I've been in this Pub. It's a very nice and welcoming place. The staff were both polite and helpful.

Recently re-opened under new management, not eaten yet, but if the food follows service and prices then 5 ***** all round. Nuff said👍

Called into the George and Dragon for a bite to eat and wow we were not disappointed. I had the steak pie and my friend had the fish and chips. The food was piping hot and tasted beautiful, to top it all we had the two main courses for just £13.50! Absolutely unbelievable value for money. Many places offering such good deals have a very low quality of food but not here. Would absolutely recommend this place right in the middle of town. It was also lovely to be in a warm and friendly atmosphere, it felt like a real community centred public house, well done everyone at the George and Dragon 👏👏

I got food poisoning from having a chicken burger in this pub for tea. I have slept and gone to the toilet constantly for the last 2 days since eating at this pub.

Went for the Rob Stewart tribute act by Dean Morter... Fantastic night, amazing atmosphere the singer was absolutely brilliant. The pub was extremely busy the bar staff Kev and Ben did a fantastic job they both joined in with the night and provided excellent customer service.

I called in after a visit to my dentist. This is not too local to where I live and was about the third time I had visited. I got talking to the landlady Michelle and her friend and their loveley dog Elsie. Also present were two great elderly locals who made me welcome and very comfortable. Whilst there I saw food being delivered which smelt & looked gorgeous. I wish I lived closer, I recommend it to locals and visitors.

Food was terrible. Looked like supermarket bought and lobbed into an oven. Bland and miserable. Went for a ‘meal’ and ended up with some guy loading a dj setup in while we waited for food then blasted awful 80s pop tunes at max volume, deafening everyone. Would not go back.

Came here a week ago with my children and elderly grandparents. The landlady Michelle went out of her way to help us and make us comfortable. The food was great. Thanks!

A very nice and quaint pub. We were there very spontaneously and got a nice place. The food was the best we had during our stay in Wales. The pub will be at the top of our list again for our next trip.

Eighteen of us booked in and made incredibly welcome. Nothing too much trouble to the staff. Special mention to Sonia who prepared amazing food and also cut a birthday cake for one of our party. Food arrived swiftly, we had pre booked, and all hot and delicious. Two.meals for £13.50 it was amazing. If you've not tried it you are missing out.

We visited the George and Dragon for dinner and had an amazing experience. Kev, the friendly bar manager, provided outstanding service, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was fantastic, with some helpful and friendly locals. Food and drinks were enjoyable and very good value for money. Highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area!

We had a snack lunch here. It was clean and friendly. They were understaffed though. Too much work for one young person. When the food arrived it was delicious and well presented. The prices were extremely reasonable. Can highly recommend.

Came for lunch with the wife, baby and dog. Very warm welcome from the guy behind the bar. Sat down for lunch and doggo got lots of fussing from land lady. Whilst waiting for lunch to be served little one was getting hangry and the landlady kindly gave up her chips that was supposed to be her lunch whilst working on her laptop. Top class service and very very welcoming. If we're ever in the area again I'll be back for sure. Thank you very much!

Called in at 10.15 for breakfast, bacon egg mushrooms sausage hash brown and toast 2 cups of tea. For 2 people just over £11 nicely cooked and presented. Can't go wrong. Will be there again next week.

I have found the George and Dragon. to be a good pub great atmosphere. I have been coming here for 10 years. the new owner always takes the time to come and speak to us nice lady.

Stopped off on route to Snowdonia to watch the fa cup final as traffic was bad. So glad we did. Great pub, great atmosphere, lovely staff. We felt really welcome. And Man Utd won (woohoo). The Irish spice bag was a pleasant suprise and bloody delicious!

Lovely little pub. We stopped off to watch the FA Cup final and the atmosphere in the pub was great. Staff were super friendly behind the bar and also from the kitchen. Served up spice bag chips as a snack during the match. Would highly recommend.

We had a long day of tourist adventures with our two families and needed to get some food and we came across this amazing pub. They welcomed us in and were so so accommodating as we were a party of 9 with kids. They couldn’t do enough for us. Reshuffling people so we could sit together as a group. The food was incredible and highly recommend the steak. The kids loved the food. Everyone was very chatty and welcoming. We were visiting the local castle from Ipswich and Newcastle upon Tyne. Such a lovely land lady Michelle and her wonderful male colleague who sadly we didn’t catch the name of. Would highly recommend this pub to families and anyone passing this lovely place. 5* service! Great pub grub and yummy deserts! 5* customer service! Not many pubs like this left! So I say this place is gold dust.

Went last nite for a surprise Birthday,great nite the food was great, atmosphere great the Staff are brilliant. We had contacted afew places not many could accommodate 24 of us......but Shell once again didn't disappoint, busy pub anyway (sat nite) one chef (amazing) not a single issue, pre-ordered was set to eat at 7 and at 7 we were all eating. SPOT ON GUYS X

First time visiting this pub, our experience was brilliant, the staff and service very friendly the food was delicious and a nice atmosphere. We had an assortment of small plates and all were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be booking again, at last we have found a local pub which makes you want to visit again.

Appalling treatment of one of the members of staff making false accusations toward me and humiliating me without any ground with there accusations then I tried to explain he wouldn’t listen and then brought over a bunch of older men (I’m 18) to come over and man handle me out and intimidate me

Decided to give the George a try for a change so arrived around 5pm on Tuesday evening. We went into the and to the bar to ask for a menu only to be told the kitchen was closed and when I asked was this just for today the barman said it closed because it was too quiet so we weren’t very impressed and naturally took our business elsewhere. I think perhaps staggered times for serving food would be better rather than offering food all day if the kitchen opening times aren’t reliable. Another observation was seeing a dog lay on the seating area. While I’m all for dogs being allowed in pubs as I have one myself, I don’t think they should be allowed on the seats where customers will be sitting

You ain't gonna find a better place for a chilled drink and a place to celebrate or eat or anything for that matter me and my family have been coming here for years and this place and the people that work there are just brilliant.

Went to Abergele from Essex to see a friend went past this pub went in had a beer each day staff were so polite and welcoming the real ale was superb I'm back in Essex now but will certainly be going there again this year when i visit Abergele again highly recommended

Used this traditional pub for a family get together meal before Christmas and it was a lovely place. Only problem was the wait for food but it was crowded so it was understandable. Only really popular venues have problems with waiting times for freshly cooked food but everyone was so friendly that it wasn't really a huge problem.

Visited the George and Dragon again today for early evening meal, I have to say the food never fails to impress here. Two fish, chips and mushy peas and a Buttermilk Chicken burger with Chips and salad. Every meal was thoroughly enjoyed, the fish batter was exceptionally good and the chips were cooked to perfection. Food is excellent value for money with Fish and Chips on a Friday being £9.50, this includes a drink. Presentation and service is also very good. The atmosphere is relaxed and happy with a really warm welcome from staff and the landlady Michelle to everyone who walks through the door. You really couldn’t ask for more from a pub, but you get it, with a great sense of community being extended to everyone. The pub has also recently undergone a bit of a refurb and now looks much brighter. We as locals really love being part of this community, so well done Michelle and staff, a great success has been created here in Abergele, would recommend everyone try this pub, you will love it 😊

A shocking fish finger sandwich , no butter , no garnish, cheap white bread looked uncooked . No tartare sauce . I Woukdnt give it to anyone even an enemy .

Can’t recommend this highly enough - from the friendly and helpful landlords ensuring my daughter and her baby and mother in law’s privacy and accessibility needs were met, to the high quality and excellent value meals - cracking pub and definitely worth a visit

Can't comment on the food as the kitchen had shut early, however the staff where pleasant and welcoming, made a fuss over my dog and the prices were alright.

Popped in for a drink at lunchtime. Food looked delicious. So stopped for lunch. Food was as good as it looked. Great service and very friendly. Dog friendly too will definitely be going again 😊
