Rescued my wallet when I lost it and returned it with no fuss, a big thank you!

***EDIT after a reply from the owner: The table we sat at was completely clear of items/plates/mugs. It was simply a sticky, unwiped table. We were handed menus when we sat down without an offer to wipe the table until the waitress was prompted. I also returned the black coffee and orange juice to the same waitress, who accepted it without asking if there was a problem. You might feel this review does not reflect your business, but it certainly reflected our visit. According to Google you open at 9, and we walked in at 2 minutes past and sat at a dirty table? Your manic 3 days suggests staff didn't wipe down correctly the day before. My handle is also the name of my favourite song by my favourite artist, and has nothing to do with visiting establishments. An unfortunate, defensive reply which shows a lack of professionalism*** Sat down at an unwiped table, however the waitress rectified this when I mentioned it. Ordered an orange juice and a black coffee, the orange was concentrate from a carton and the coffee was the worst I've ever tried. Left both almost untouched. My daughter ordered fried eggs on toast which to be fair were good. The scrambled egg my son ordered was abysmal, presumably made by someone who has never scrambled eggs before. The Belgian waffle my wife ordered was rock hard, impossible to cut through with a spoon presumably microwaved for far too long. My belly buster breakfast was fair, although let down by cheap sausages. Expected more from this place after reading reviews. It's seems most people are happy as long as a place is inexpensive. Left a £2 tip because the staff were pleasant and attentive to be fair, and the cheap quality products they work with is not really their fault. Would not return.

Lovely friendly staff here and I had a veggie burger with chips, side salad and coleslaw, the toilets where very nice here too.

Ordered a baked potato/beans/cheese for take away and it came quickly, tho maybe a bit small but I might have just been starving. Fab service, catered for dairy free - would recommend!

My husband and I had an afternoon drink and cake here when we recently spent a day out in Llandudno (the town being one of our favourite places). Why we had never been to the lovely little café before we have no idea, but sad to say that we have been missing a real treat. This pretty little café was spotlessly clean with lovely staff, gorgeous drinks and my homemade bara brith was to die for. Finally when visiting the toilet downstairs it was also spotlessly clean. How could I not complement the staff. All being well on our next visit to Llandudno we will definitely visit here again, probably for a lunch as the food looked really nice.What a little gem of a café.

The food was nice. Shane we had to wait 45 minutes for it to arrive. Our apology was a complementary drink. Sorry we are busy. Everyone else who arrived after us was served before us.

We had a great family breakfast this morning. The hash browns are perfect. Lovely sausages and bacon. Good value for money and felt like the food had been made with care. Staff were really friendly. Immaculately clean.

Ordered a cheese salad with a portion of chips. Received a large plate with a mountain of iceberg lettuce, a few halves of tiny tomatoes, few baby beets and a few pickled onions. Eventually found some tiny pieces of pepper under the lettuce. Some bland cheese and basic coleslaw were dumped on top in tiny ramekins. Small bowl of chips totalled 18 very basic frozen chips. Whole meal was bland and uninspired. Ate it all apart from some of the iceberg but was still hungry. Had to ask for cutlery. Bland mayo was two small sachets dumped on the table. Staff were friendly enough but wouldn’t eat there again.

Fairly decent cooked breakfast but nothing special. Thought the fried egg was a little small and overcooked. Sausages a bit hard. Bacon good as we're the mushrooms and tomato. Hash brown average freezer fare. Putting the little pack of butter on top of the toast causes it to melt and run out. I had a black American coffee and felt it was pretty weak. Little things but overall a nice, clean little cafe with fairly priced food.

We had lunch here during a visit to Llandudno. It was a lovely, charming cafe and the food was delicious. We sat outside in the sun and the waitress warned us about the seagulls 😂 We were impressed and would return again.

Lovely little cafe near the centre of the town with friendly staff and a good range of snacks. The portions were large and it is obviously popular with the locals (like me) and tourists alike. The cafe has quite a small entrance and isn't very big so not sure it has disabled access. Tasty food and a good cuppa.

We visited for breakfast after staying in a local hotel. I rang before hand to check that they had wheelchair access and was told by a very polite lady that they did but the toilets were down steep stairs and not accessible. (This was OK for us) When we arrived we were greater by 2 lovely girls who instantly opened the doors so the wheelchair could fit in and moved the table so there was plenty of space. I ordered the bacon 🥓 and cheese 🧀 omelet and it was amazing. So full of cheese and well cooked bacon. My husband had a sausage and bacon sandwich and my daughter a cooked breakfast, both said they were nice. When we're in the area again we will definitely visit again.

Very pleasant dog friendly cafe not far from the sea front. Good for lunch or just calling for a coffee. I ate lunch and the soup and sandwich was very good and was reasonably priced. The staff were extremely helpful and very friendly towards us and other customers. If I return to Llandudno I would not hesitate to visit again.

Myself and my husband are locals but have never been to Take a Break before and I’m not sure why not! We entered and knew it must be good as it was quite busy, we found a table and very quickly a waitress came over and gave us some menus, a great choice too! We ordered a breakfast and my husband had the belly buster. It came after around 10 minutes and it was so tasty! The price was good too! £18 for two English breakfasts with a pot of tea and a coffee. The waitress was lovely too very smiley and helpful. Will definitely go again.

Busy, which is always a good sign. We were a little worried that we'd have a long wait time, but that wasn't the case at all. The waitress was lovely and worked incredibly hard, as must the kitchen staff have done as well. Soup and a sandwich was great value, with large portions and great quality. Couldn't fault in any way at all, thank you.

Visited recently for breakfast on a day out to Llandudno. Great staff, great service and on the whole great food. The belly buster breakdfast is exceptional value at £9.50 and on the whole is excellent value. My only complaint is that for my taste they could use better quality sausages. I know this is my own personal opinion but I judge breakfasts I have anywhere on the quality of the sausages used. However I would certainly recomment this cafe/restaurant and also the food.

An unassuming little cafe , but really enjoyed our belly buster breakfasts this morning. £19 for both of us , including drinks , all served piping hot. Great , attentive waiting staff , and wi-fi as you'd expect. Seemed to be really popular with locals as well. Always a good recommendation. Will definitely visit again when in town. Excellent.

Lovely little coffee shop that also serves meals. Prices are very reasonable. The food tastes good. The people who work there are friendly and welcoming. They also provide a childrens menu and high chairs.

We ate here for lunch and it we really enjoyed our food, we both had late breakfast and it was well quality and tasty food, cafe was very clean and the staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Well worth a visit if you want nice good cooked food.

We had a late breakfast here. They were able to accommodate all eight of us, which was great. The staff were lovely, taking orders that came back fairly quickly. Food was hot and tasty. There were not complaints. Recommend the veggie sausages, with actual veg! Just hope we weren't too noisy!

Been going here for 28yrs, had about 3 owners and it sticks with a winning formula. Good choice but simple and quick to make. Excellent milky coffee. Lovely staff. Very welcoming. Came here on my wedding day because the hotel would not make a sandwich in between reception and night do. Here again 28 yrs to the day. Never disappointed.

Had the special, Steak'n'Ale Pie. A cut from a plate pie. A triangle that was packed from the tip to the circular crust with solid large pieces of tasty lean meat. Never had one better in that respect. Complimented by a delicious gravy. Just basic fries and garden peas on the dish. That didn't matter as the pie was the star. Think it was £11.95. Home-made fresh food cannot be low price. Would call again when down that way. Not many empty seats at 2pm; always an indicator of the quality of the fayre in my experience. Recommended.

I called here the other lunch time and found it a most welcoming cafe the girls serving were very friendly and helpful. I had Gammon steak and chips the Gammon steak was a bit hard for my liking but otherwise a great place to eat.

Just had a great breakfast at this family run café Great traditional coffee with a quality bacon sandwich that ticked all the boxes. Take a Break... is all about customer service and quality food.... Don't pass it by.

Popped here for breakfast after seeing good reviews. We had the Belly Buster, £7.20. Was delicious & good service. Only thing I could fault was the black pudding was a bit on the slim side (I’m a big fan of black pudding hence my comment). Lovely inside & will definitely be back.

Came to this cafeteria for dinner. It's a bit of a squeeze inside. The staff were alright, not overly attentive. My main gripe was the portion given. A serving of the homemade pie was alright, tasting very nice. But with it was a handful of chips, not nearly enough, and around a third of a plateful of peas. I don't know if there was a surplus of peas in the kitchen or whether that is the default portion but it was way too much. The space occupied on the plate by the peas was almost double the chip portion. Totally unacceptable.

Went for something to eat and drink after arriving on our 5 day coach holiday. The cafe was very clean and staff very welcoming. The food and drinks were excellent. All meals are scratch cooked. The cakes and pastries looked home made. Good value for money and seems to be very popular with the locals.

Had a family day out and came here for lunch. Had a prawn mayonnaise on brown bread. Nice fresh thick bread and a small salad came with it. The wife had tuna melt panini which also came with a small salad. Coffees were nice. Outdoor seating there too.

My daughter and I popped in for lunch, I recommend the gammon, and chicken panini lovely meal, value for money. I must say your staff are excellent, very welcoming and constantly cleaning, friendly. I hope to visit again soon.
