Coast Cafe & Gift Shop in Conwy

Called in 10th April. Had 2 lemon buns and 2 coffees. Buns obviously not fresh, coffee too weak to taste. Staff not interested, too busy wrestling behind the counter. Tables dirty outside. Total waste of money I'm afraid.....

Lovely cafe and dog friendly, but it a shame only a few tables available for dog owners. Food brilliant along with the staff

Lovely food and v nice staff but they need to sort their queuing system out. They were v v busy and asked us to wait outside for approx 20 mins which was OK but we saw a few groups coming out and couples who had arrived after us were given the tables. A bit annoying. Food v nice and would recommend

Really like Coast, very clean, well run, good food and pleasant service. We like to walk along the front from Old Colwyn to Rhos-on-sea and Coast is nice reward! Dogs are welcome with plenty of outside seating if the weather is good

Love this cafe, unfortunately not the best today. Staff were trying their best to accommodate my guest who was vegetarian also dairy free. The staff were back & forth making sure the order was correct. I always Order Tuna jacket potato, never again! Search the tuna mostly mayonnaise!!, very sickly, just looked like mayonnaise poured over the jacket. I mentioned this when paying the bill to the male, it fell on deaf ears. Poor customer service there. Again the waiting on staff were excellent

I had a nice coffee and a lovely piece of cheesecake with my friends at coast. The staff were very helpful and the atmosphere was nice

You are seated on arrival and table service with pleasant staff. The service was quick. I had tea and the cheesecake which was very nice.

Went here with my mom for my birthday today again the food was lovely although I have to be honest the selection of alcoholic drinks were limited for e.g no sherry,port,archers,diserano,brandy and no fruit ciders would be nice if there was more choice but other than that really enjoyed ourselves

Right on the beach with amazing food and lovely staff! This was our first time visiting Rhos on Sea, we heard about the area and wanted to pay a visit. We came to COAST and I got Welsh Rarebit a flat white and some ice cream. Everything was delicious. The coffee was perfectly made and food served quickly. Will visit again next time we are around.

Excellent all round. Breakfast was very good and service very good too.

We have a holiday home in Rhos, when I do come stay here, without fail, I will go for food in the coast. The food is incredible as are the staff, we always feel welcome and my little boy always gets a bag of sweets off Darren! My mum and dad also attend the quiz nights he holds for charity here which are also fab and a good laugh! :) HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND:D

Awful breakfast won’t go for food the coffee was ok The staff are nice but because there was no room they asked us to wait outside in the cold there was room to stand inside The location is nice shame about the food.

Lovely ambience ,attentive staff and friendly staff. Didn't wait too long for delicious food . Vegetarian breakfast was delish and prices are reasonable .

This place is proving hard to get into such is its popularity! We managed to get a table and for the first time had some breakfast which was fantastic. Would thoroughly recommend it. Yet another great cafe in Rhos.

Popped in today for snack lunch. Service was friendly and helpful, and the food was delivered to the table quickly. Good portion sizes and great value for money.

Great friendly café with plenty of vegetarian options. Visited most days during my short stay I Rhos on Sea. I regret that this is my last day here.

I meet up with my friends here on mondays for a coffee and a chat, before heading off to Bodnant Gardens for volunteering. It's a well run cafe in a very convenient location.

Called in Saturday lunchtime. Really busy in the middle of February which is fantastic. Food and service were very good. A lot of hard work has gone into this business and it’s great to see it going so well. Lots of competition around but this is where the quality is. Definitely recommended.

My son and I walked from Colwyn Bay to penrhyn bay and were totally famished. We saw this little restaurant and gave it a try. From the welcome we received as soon as we walked in and the amazing service throughout this was a gem of a find. 2 delicious and full to the brim toasties, and a cheeky bowl of chips later we were off again with a lovely take away coffee to keep me going. We will definitely come back and bring the rest of the tribe with us next time.

Had the Captains breakfast with large coffee. All delicious and served quickly. Busy even at 10am. Would definitely recommend this venue. Thanks Coast staff 🥲

This was our third visit to Coast, and we're big fans. I still recall our first visit, which was kind of accidental, now we head to Colwyn Bay and know we'll lunch at Coast; there's really nothing to fault. The welcome is great, the service is great, and even if they're busy, they'll do their very best to accommodate you (and welcome your dog if they can too - though dog friendly tables are to one side, so no worries if you're not a dog lover!) Food is lovely; nothing really out of this world, but superb nonetheless - oh and save space for one of their lovely cakes too. Definitely recommend!

Wow amazing. We went to Coast today there were 16 of us from a local school, we were seated straight away. Staff came over for their orders, staff were attentive, caring and amazing. Most chose cake, luxury hot chocolate or luxury milkshake they were amazed by them. Thank you all for making us all welcome.

Visited 22 January Mid Morning for a Latte and Tea Cake. The Cafe was busy however we received a nice friendly welcome and was shown to a table for two. The Cafe was clean and spacious, Lattes and Toasted Tea cakes were served hot, service was friendly, efficient and prompt. Prices were very reasonable. We enjoyed a look round the shop and purchasing a couple of items. We always call in here when in the area as everything is consistent. Well worth a visit.

Didn’t feel very welcome with our walking group to many of us apparently 😂 felt we were an inconvenience by the owner… no warm smiles bit grumpy 😡 must be in the wrong job!!! …. Food basic won’t be going back . The other coast cafe the same had cold coffee from the young girl who didn’t know what she was doing . They don’t have time to train there staff …

Great breakfast, good service, scould have done with more coffee. Last minute breakfast when other locl cafes were closed. Coast was already busy at 915am, full of ;locals, some sitting outside in the rather "fresh" weather. Seems to be a proper community hub where friends were meeting for a coffee. I opted for the full breakfast and it didn't disappoint ! Fresh ingridients and a rather spicy sausage. The coffee was good and despite ordering a "large" it could have been a little larger !

Always busy and with good reason, stopped here for lunch today after a walk along the beach luckily 2 tables left as we got there and we managed to get seated for 6 and a baby, good choice of food, gluten free options, so good we ardered desserts, compliments all around for the food and service was excellent

Tasty pre-Christmas lunch enjoyed by all, great service too. We will be back soon.

Went for brunch with family. Taken to our table and service was excellent from start to finish. Food was lovely and staff very friendly.

Went to the outside ice cream part to purchase a dog ice cream, waited for someone to appear after 5 minutes went into the cafe to be told quite abruptly that they don't have staff in there and that I should have gone inside to order what I wanted. There is absolutely no signage that states to order inside. We would have had coffee and cake outside but due to the older lady and her appalling attitude we just got the ice cream and left.

Great place for a snack, or coffee and cake. Good service and great food. Dog friendly.

Went in for lunch around 12.45 today. As a group of 3 with a child under 2. Walked in and a young girl told us to take the larger table in a little side room (by the toys and gifts) sat down got the little one settled. For a rude old man with grey hair to come over to tell us to get up and leave as no tables. He then said someone else was waiting for that table first. Someone in the group asked had they booked and he replied “no they where here before you. (We saw no one else waiting) and that they had no other tables so he just kicked us out. If this was the case he could of been polite and explained it properly. No apologies or offer to wait for an alternative table. Just kicked us out. The embarrassment leaving felt like we had done something wrong the way he treated us. Not only that but what kind of person can kick out a young child who needed food? Heartless.

Have popped in with friends twice over last 2 weeks- once just for a coffee and the second time for lunch. Both times Geoff attended our table and was very welcoming and chatted with us. Coffee and food great, Geoff was friendly and helpful and even though both visits were during busy lunchtimes, never rushed us or made us feel that we needed to be on our way. Super service!

I only got an ice cream from here, but it was genuinely the best ice cream (cookie dough) in a cone I've ever eaten. Good to see that there were vegan options too.

Review CoastLove this Cafe, I come here most days for lunch. Comfortable, spotless, friendly and efficient staff. There’s a dog area inside and covered seating outside. Food is freshly cooked a proper seaside cafe. I have soup most days alternative flavours, cooked fresh daily with Artisan bread and coffee. It’s a popular destination for locals and day trippers alike. Since opening it’s become a bit of a destination to meet friends. Great atmosphere. Brilliant cafe on the front in Rhos . Gareth was our server today.What a delightful ,friendly young man .We ordered and the food came very quickly .The slightly older gentleman there was such a card and made us laugh .Maybe the owner🤔I don't know but a lovely afternoon was had by my friends and I .Plus dogs are allowed in too .Great stuff 😊

Lunch today with a friend I haven't seen for many years. Service was good , sandwich was good but the side salad had seen better days , some of the salad was slimy and obviously past its Sell by date, we told the waitress but she said ok.. coffee was good.

Tho busy they always manage to accommodate us, 5 adults and a child. The staff are on the ball, very attentive. The food ( I had a tuna and cheese panini) was good and served very hot.

The best hot chocolate ever. Only ruined by the extremely slow (and often frazzled) service. It's table service but very hit and miss when sat outside. Sometimes quite a long wait but the hot chocolate makes up for it.

Friendly staff, despite being very busy, they were very welcoming to our group with 2 big labradors. Great bacon and sausage butties and coffee, speedy service. Would definitely return.

We called here on Friday (21/07/23) lovely cafe with outdoor seating as I got my Dog with me. We all enjoyed our hot drinks, the Panini I had was delicious. My Dad enjoyed his scone and jam, my Mum & Nanna enjoyed their teacakes. We will definitely visit again on our next holiday.

Really enjoyed it here, called in for an early tea after having a walk up to Porth Eirias and back. Staff were very friendly and quick to take orders for drinks and food. The drinks came quickly and the coffee came with hot milk to if you wanted and was very nice. Menu had a good selection of food and drinks and also some local beers and spirits. We had a panini each and bowls of chips and coleslaw to share between us both. All the food was very nice and hot and served quite quickly. Prices were reasonable for a seafront eatery too. All in all we had a nice meal here and would definitely go again.

Very good quality food. Staff attentive. I'm not sure I agree with dogs in eateries, but do understand that it is necessary to help businesses stay afloat. Only negative is that I saw three waitresses stroking and hugging the dogs in the eatery, then take down orders, remove dirty dishes and return to kitchen, and come straight back out with customers orders, giving no time to wash hands or brush hairs off uniform. Surely staff should not interact with the dogs, and if they do, first port of call should be to wash hands?

Lovely place for a spot of lunch we both had the pulled pork panini it was a bit on the small side so good job we had chips to share pot of tea for one gave you 3 cups of tea 😀 my wife enjoyed her hot chocolate the cakes looked great so next time it will be drink and cake time

Had breakfast here with my wife and 3 dogs and it was excellent, good inside area for dogs(bit tight), the food was done to perfection, apart from no tinned tomatoes it was spot on.

Whilst i can't comment on the cafe because i didn't use it, we did use the ice cream parlour. The choices of flavours were excellent, my children were very pleased! I had funky banana and coconut which were both to die for! The lady serving was friendly and efficient and moved the que quickly. One scoop on a cone or tub was £2.95 which is very reasonable for the quality of the ice cream. We will definitely be back

Perfectly located in the Centre of this North Wales Town , opposite one of the best beaches in North Wales , super friendly attentive service , a must for a bacon sandwich and hot coffee . We wish them luck with their NEW Llandudno unit ,which we know will be a BIG SUCCESS

Ordered a latte and came far too hot to drink and could taste the milk had been burnt while making, asked for a new one to takeaway instead and was just given a takeaway cup with the exact same coffee in instead of new one

Stop here on our way to snowdonia from our home in Derbyshire. Have a walk on the beach to stretch our legs and our border collies. Always a table to relax at, great service and good food. Prices are very reasonable too. Staff are lovely...

What a fabulous find! Sea front, with fantastic food and great service. Our fruit scone with cream and jam was 5 star. Treated myself to a gift from a quality but very reasonably priced selection.

Visited with my wife and daughter on a day trip to the North Wales coast. All of us enjoyed our reasonably priced different meals. Service was very quick and good with a pleasant atmosphere. Definitely going again.
