Went for lunch , the service was brilliant, and the food was delicious .My partner had the lamb Sunday lunch. The lamb was so tender it was one of the best Sunday roasts he has had .

We’re not local but whenever we have a trip out to the seaside we always drop in to ‘The Loaf. Sat in the open courtyard with our pooch - fantastic food, great selection of beers, perfect service - lovely people.

Very attentive waiter. Food served in an appropriate amount of time. Good selection on menu and what we ordered was very tasty. All reasonably priced. A good place to visit!

Called here today ,never been before even though I’ve been to Llandudno 100s of times ,what a treat ,don’t have big meals now so decided on the Welsh rarebit ,it was gorgeous,can’t wait to return now!

We had a few days in Llandudno and dropped in to visit the pub, excellent service great handpulled real ale and delicious food... outstanding

A great traditional pub - loved the old, cosy feel. Very friendly and attentive waitress who recommended the pie - which was good. Dessert banana bread with pistachios was delicious. Had to pay for parking in adjacent car park. Also could only get in for 5pm on the Friday (so clearly popular) they did say that we could try a ‘walk-in’ later, but didn’t want to risk it so took the early booking. So would recommend booking in good time.

Been here twice and loved it. Friendly, welcoming atmosphere and live music from a great singer. Decent choice of beers too. Not eaten here yet but will defo give it a go.

We absolutely loved our visit! The lamb shank and seafood cioppino were both perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. For dessert, we ordered the sticky toffee pudding and asked if they could help us with a birthday candle. they also went the extra mile by singing a cheerful birthday song for us. Such a thoughtful and personal touch! Exceptional food, warm hospitality, and unforgettable memories—this place is a gem!💕😍

Wow! Qué hermoso lugar. El restaurante en sí es muy acogedor y encantador y limpio, pero la comida es SENSACIONAL! El menú solo tenía tanta opción, así que terminamos eligiendo unos platos pequeños en su lugar y cada uno era increíble. El ravioli de langosta y cangrejo era tan bueno y si hubiera podido lamer el plato, lo habría hecho!

Great food. We have eaten all over North Wales but this was a fine balance between hearty pub grub and fine dining taste and discovery. The beers are a good choice and the fires a great friend in the winter!

We visited while on holidays in Llandudno, whilst it was really busy we were found a nice table, ordered drinks, our order was taken and the food came in good time. We had haddock in batter with triple cooked chips - delicious. Would highly recommend

Having had a couple of disappointing evening meals at our hotel, we ventured out to The Cottage Loaf in search of a hot freshly cooked meal. We were delighted with our delicious, light crispy battered ultra fresh haddock and chips. I would say that the fish was amongst the best I've ever eaten. Definitely will be returning there in future.

Lovely pub, great beers, good selection of foods from nibbles snacks and full on meals .. lovely staff... Very interesting building as it was a bakery and is constructed from ships timbers.. 👍👍

First time at The Cottage Loaf, came with my son of 15 and my doggy. Sat outside as weather was glorious, I went inside for drinks, asked for the food menu, I said we were outside due to the dog, the woman behind the bar gave it to me ( literally threw at me) and said when you order need order at bar, No eye contact due to her doing something else. Straight away I thought rude! When we decided to order my son ordered it at the bar. Roast beef dinner Fish chips peas ( small) even though there was a choice, small or large Fish Chips Peas he never got asked so he said he would like small portion... 10p change out of £40... When it came yes looked heaven...but never ate the peas as stone cold and they gave him the large portion....he didnt eat all of it as too much but said was very nice minus the musys. Regarding mine it was average...the yorkshire pudding was like a brick the roast potatoes were just luke warm Gravy i found very thin....beef was fine as was the cabbage and 2 carrots... for the price it was not worth it. Shame as its a beautiful pub inside and out and a real suntrap. Unfortunately we will not return.

Didn't have any food but it looked and smelt brilliant. Really enjoyed the black dragon cider. Beautiful place and staff really make you feel welcome.

Really excellent food, beautiful interior, good service - the trifecta

Been before a few times with no issues, this time was a little different however. Sat at a table that was reserved in an hour and half's time, to be told that we wouldn't have time to eat there, even though I explained that we only required a couple of light bite dishes. Found another shared table and ordered at the bar. Food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering and was all hot and fresh. The wife had soup, which was lovely, I opted for cheese board and a portion of triple cooked chips. Now, I don't mind paying for quality ingredients, but for £13.95 for a cheeseboard with four crackers, chutney, grapes and 4 very small offerings of cheese that frankly wouldn't satisfy a child, and £4.50 for 12 chips, seems very much over priced. Not once did anyone come across and check on how our food was, all seemed quite unwelcoming. May try again, may not.

I went for lunch alone today after my walk and felt quite overwhelmed and nervous with being on my own. I was soon put at ease and made to feel so welcome by a lovely lady (Ria i think her name was). So thank you for making me feel comfortable, relaxed, and not silly for eating alone! Food was 10/10.

Came for a pre booked special 60th birthday meal. The food was out of this world and with virtually everyone in the party having different starters, mains and desserts, we almost covered every meal on the menu. Every aspect of the food was excellent. Sadly the service was not. There is no consistency in the waiting staff, water was forgotten, and staff walked past several times after we had finished without clearing plates or asking us if we wanted anything. No sauces were offered. So we had to ask for everything, could we have the water, could we have tartar sauce, could we see he dessert menu, could we have the bill, could we now please pay the bill. On one occasion, having been ignored for at least 15 minutes after our mains, we actually had to get up and find someone to assist us. Service also got our and another table's desserts mixed up. But the food was superb!

Found this place on google so only fair to let everyone know this is a gem of a place. Excellent draught beer and the meal i had was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and i enjoyed my visit, thanks.

Just home from cottage loaf booking for 2 have to say very dissapointing this visit food was luke warm at best and very chilly in the room had to wear scarf round neck shoulders very cold night and think the log fire should of been lit upset this visit

An interesting pub. Being next door to a Weatherspoons seems to mean they have to be good to compete. Well worth a try if you need somewhere to eat in Llandudno.

Visit Llandudno quite often but never knew about this place 'til now. What a find. Great pub in the centre of town, atmosphere A1, food de..lish and friendly staff oh and a great log fire. .

Cosy atmosphere, great food, and staff were more helpful than I could've imagined. We visited when there was a loss of water in the local area and staff made us aware as soon as they knew it would impact here. We panic ordered 2 main dishes based on the staff recommendations and they were both faultless (seafood linguine and rarebit). Friendly place that 100% recommended. It is also dog friendly 😁

It was my 69th birthday and the cottage loaf was the ideal place to go delicious food lovely staff and a nice big log fire I had the beef an chorizo pie sorry no photo I'd eaten it before I realised I hadn't taken a photo

We booked a late deal in Llandudno for a weekend and used Google to find somewhere to eat on the Friday when we arrived. The Cottage Loaf came up with good reviews so we ( very easily) booked a table online. We weren't disappointed. Not feeling that hungry, I went for deep fried battered Brussel sprouts and king prawn and crab linguine and my wife had scallops and goats cheese salad. All absolutely delicious with fantastic service. So good, we went in on the off chance there was a table on Saturday night ( they were fully booked online) and got lucky. Pork belly for me, best I've ever had and my wife had steak and ale pie, it was packed to the crust and she said it was beautiful. Book early, you won't be disappointed.

My review is feedback for the team so they know how our visit was today not really for the benefit of other future guests You have a fantastic looking pub, warm welcome, great fresh food which you can tell is made with care and attention well done kitchen team, service was also very good, the manager was working the room and chatted to any guest that wanted to (sorry didn’t catch her name), very good visit overall, pity we don’t live closer to support this pub I’d be in more than I probably should haha! Well done team! We’ll be back the next time we’re back in the area, Clean cutlery, clean glassware, clean table, clean toilets, tidy outside space, team looked very presentable but casual, activity sheets for the children, smaller Sunday roast menu with a small number of normal dishes focusing on quality (always a good sign), great selection of cask and wine Great standards all round keep up the great work

Been here twice now, both for Sunday roast and both times it was superb. Very quick to get the food out and it was hot. All the food looks very nice so can't wait to return to try other dishes. Would recommend booking as it can get busy.

Really nice pub, with pleasant but an overworked team. Food was nice but be aware the pie of the day can be a slice of pie and unless you ask its swimming in gravy which isn't everybody's thing so you may wish to ask for it on the side.

What a find on a visit to Llandudno. On a cold, wet, very dark Tuesday night looking for somewhere to eat. All the restaursnts we passed were dead! Went into the CL and it was packed. We were very lucky to get a table. Excellent menu, the food is very good, excellent seevice, great atmosphere.

Met my family their as I was outside a worker came out baring in mind He already came out as he's a waiter second time he came out told me that my 2 YEAR OLD CHILD couldn't eat her own food all because it wasn't ordered at the establishment, not happy at all ,very disgusted!!

We first found the cottage loaf while looking for somewhere to park the van, we didn't know it would be such a hidden treasure, but now we hope there's room for us when coming to Llandudno, I'd definitely recommend it but almost don't want to as we'd never get a table 😅.
