A great find. Friendly service and delicious generously filled toasted club sandwiches. Super coffee too. Would definitely return if we revisit this area in the future.

My family and I regularly visit the Cedar Cafe . My sister and her husband from Edinburgh come down yesterday to meet us and they were treating me and my partner for lunch . Both sister and my partner very happy with the Sunday roast and my brother in law happy with his macaroni . However my baked potato was one of the worst I have had anywhere . Prawn filling was fine , but the potato skin was solid dry -probably over cooked . The inside of the potato was a strange consistency gluey stretchy look . Not fluffy and hardly much of it . Small side salad was on the plate also. This well baked potato cost my sister £12.50. The young waitress asked us how our meal was I said to her awful , she thought I was joking but it was the clear i wasn’t. I got an apology from her but that certainly didn’t make me feel any better . Came home still starving . I really do like this place but they need to up their game . Really really disappointed. Plus side , it’s clean and spacious and nice staff , though some may need better training .

We have eaten here in the past and it was lovely. Tonight we encountered a lazy menu seafoods linguine advertised the catch of the day we were fobbed off with the catch of the day was just tiger prawns highly unlikely and an insult. Just call it that her prawn linguine and stop misrepresenting. The rest of the menu was limited and basic. I think complacency has taken over hopefully now this will change now Eyemouth has other eating options like the auld bank, tavern and contented sole.

Called in here for fish and chips. There is seating, but we opted for a takeaway. It was cooked freshly to order. I believe they use beef dripping ( the proper old fashioned way to cook fish and chips) They were the nicest fish and chips I’ve eaten. The flavour and texture of the chips was lovely. I don’t usually each much of the actual batter on the fish, but this batter was the lightest, finest, crispiest batter I have ever tasted, so happily ate it all. The meals were delicious …..would highly recommend . The staff were lovely too!

Visited this pub more than once this week. Nice friendly landlady and staff. Cheap bar prices. Very small bar but there are seats outside at the front, which is a bit of a suntrap, or in the large beer garden at the back. Locals chatty and helpful. Thankfully dogs not allowed in the bar as a couple of dogs in the very small bar space would be accident waiting to happen. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area.
