Cafe Questo in Scottish Borders

A great find. Friendly service and delicious generously filled toasted club sandwiches. Super coffee too. Would definitely return if we revisit this area in the future.

My friend said "let's find some lunch, we might find crab sandwiches". Well once she had said that nothing else would do. The first place we looked at was Cafe Questo and we weren't disappointed. Crab sandwich in lovely bread, varnish dressed with quality balsamic vinegar and accompanied with a good pot of tea. Will definitely visit again if we return to Eyemouth.

We’ve been to Questo many times for both breakfast and lunch and we have always enjoyed the food and the sincere friendly service. If you’re in the area Questo is definitely worth a try.

Very friendly welcome. Soup and a cheese scone were just what I fancied. Scone was light and tasty and warmed up as requested, and the sweet potato and coconut milk soup was gorgeous. Will definitely be back on my next trip to Eyemouth.

Lovely cafe that's like the tardis, looks tiny but once you look inside there's loads of space. Delicious breakfasts, kind friendly staff, excellent prices and a great all round cafe. Plenty empty plates.

We had breakfast here on our last day in Eyemouth and it was lovely, we got border tart to take home and it was absolutely wonderful-and I'm an expert on it! The two ladies were very friendly, I would recommend this cafe to anyone.

First confession was that it was the first place that looked like it would have a free clean toilet. Putting that aside; it was a really friendly place that has spent a fair bit on some internal decoration to encourage 'folk' to rest a while. After apologising for ordering the peppermint tea I was tempted to indulge in a Border Tart; don't worry I only got the chance to eat half of it. Nice people, good facilities , well appointed and a nice little view onto the harbour.

This is an excellent Café over looking the Harbour, Eyemouth. Friendly staff, homemade everything ; scones are unique. Wish every day is a Tuesday

I use Cafe Questro at least once a week for lunch and I am a repeat visitor because of the good food served up and reasonable cost. Most of food cooked/baked on the premises. Friendly staff and free WiFi

nice and warm on a cold October day, coffee and the eyemouth tart were particularly good. staff /owner was very friendly and informative about the local area.

Whilst on holiday we stumbled upon this cafe for coffee, which was very enjoyable. The place is clean,bright and airy and the two ladies were very pleasant and helpful. The Border tart was freshly baked and extremely good. On our way back to the car park we decided to stop off for a light lunch.The food was freshly prepared and delicious, and just a bit different from the normal. It was busy: lots of locals which is always a good sign.

We had a really warm welcome here and we all thoroughly enjoyed our drinks. My wife said it was the best decaf coffee she had had for some time. Will definitely come here again

We were staying with Marine Quest for a long WE diving and had breakfast served every morning at Cafe Questo. Service with a smile and good hearty breakfasts were served prior to go to sea.

Went for a breakfast , we asked if they did rolls on square sausage , we were told yes, so we ordered two. The lady asked if we would like large rolls so we agreed . My tea came in a chipped mug which was replaced at my request. The large rolls arrived about 7" in circumference with 3 slice of the cheapest rusk filled sausage I have ever had the misfortune to eat or not as it turned out !

I received a very warm welcome when I called in here for a pot of tea before walking the coastal path to Berwick-upon-Tweed the other day. There was plenty of tea and a nice jug of milk, and hot water to top up the pot - much appreciated!I'll be back again to try those delicious scones!

Very welcoming café with great hot and cold food and great hot drinks to go with it. And don't forget to try their fresh homemade scones.

This is a lovely little Cafe that serves homebaking. The cakes are delicious. It is right on the harbour. The staff are very friendly & pleasant. Loved it

I was here for brunch. The food was fresh and tasty. I had a light breakfast mushrooms potato beans and tomato and a slice of gluten free toasted bread. It's good when when a place keeps a gluten free loaf. The food was well presented and the plate was not over full. It's a clean environment too eat at also.

Popped in here for brunch. Amazing fresh cooked food, haggis and egg butty was great. Huge pot of tea with homemade shortbread. Staff and service very good. If you are ever this way, make sure you visit.

Second visit today and cannot fault the wonderful breakfast. The black pudding is the best we have ever tasted . Great service , lovely location, don't miss it.

This little cafe is located just off the harbour and makes the best Bacon and Egg Rolls!!The company and service are great too!! Always a lovely chat while waiting for my food!Definitely worth a visit if your in the area, for a cuppa and a roll!!Great cakes too!!

Had the full breakfast fry-up, home cooked with local produce. Very friendly lady gave the place a relaxed feel. I loved the breakfast and will return here next time I am in the area.

Staff at the Visitors Centre referred us for a lunch, over we went. Soup was homemade & hot. Sandwiches freshly made. Had dessert, a pice of tray bake made in the cafe - deeeee-licious! Coffee superior. Highly recommended,

We had nice breakfasts here today. My husband had a full fry, and I had French toast with bacon and maple syrup. The welcome was warm, and the ambiance pleasant. I really enjoyed my coffee, which was one of the best I have tasted- Italian Lavazzo. They have free wifi, which is handy.

This cafe is run by a lovely friendly lady, her Scottish breakfast was freshly cooked, tasted delicious and kept a grown man full till dinner time. The bacon rolls and sausage and egg roll again were tasty and great value. The coffee is very good and there is a great selection of drinks and cakes, lunch menu looked tasty so we will be back.

As locals we very much enjoy Questo, on the busy quayside near a handy car park, and have never been disappointed in the food and drink quality or the warm welcome received. Ethel and her small team are simply great and produce beautifully cooked soups, paninis, main courses, home baking, desserts and coffees etc using top class ingredients. This week we chose 3 courses from the Christmas menu: starters of a sumptuously intense mushroom soup and delicate rollmop herrings both with fresh bread, main courses of pork and salmon with steamed vegetables, and the desserts we selected were a delightful apple and mincemeat crumble and a seasonal take on Eton mess. One of the reasons we enjoy Questo's food so much is that the portions are well-judged and the cooking places emphasis on the taste of fresh ingredients rather than swamping them in butter or over-rich sauces: also, there is always an imaginative vegetarian choice of comparable quality to the meat/fish dishes. The place is small and shows a continental influence which makes it stand out in Eyemouth. Generally closed on a Monday other than in high season.
