A traditional, lovely café located in the heart of Moffat. My wife and I stopped off here en route home from a spa break in Dumfries. The sun was shining and the place was buzzing. We ordered two Lattes and she had an Egg Butty. It cost £13.10 in total - the Coffee was great. Sitting in there, it definitely felt that the place had been recently decorated - everything seemed fresh. The staff were friendly and we’d have no hesitation in popping our heads in again. The business ties in nicely to Moffat and what it has to offer.

My wife and I visited Umi while on a short break in Tenby. We had booked and were looking forward to a good meal, unfortunately we didn"t get to eat.A young man showed us to our table and I ordered a bottle of Rose and some water which arrived quickly.I then noticed that the seal had been broken already and it looked like a glass had been poured from the bottle alraedy.I called the young man over and he said sorry and that he would get another bottle.I then saw him talking to a young women who I presumed was his boss.He then came back with another half full bottle of the wine with the intention of topping our bottle up.I told him that this was unacceptable and ask him to get me unopened bottle. At this point he told me that he had been told to top up bottles. The next minute the young woman was at our table with an unopened bottle.Excellent I thought, but no she is now telling me that I had had some of the wine. Now when I order a £20 bottle thats exactly want I want sealed and full.It begs the question what do they top the bottles up with, dregs from other bottles,or glasses. The mark up on wine is huge so why use this sharp practice ?.It says on the menu that the wine was a 75cl,clearly not.We have reported thai matter to the local Trading Standards Dept.

We popped in on the Tuesday and had a very nice panini and poached eggs on toast which were perfectly done. As we enjoyed our meal ,we visited again however this time the poached eggs were cold and hard and the full breakfast appeared to have been deep fried ,all items were hard and some items were overdone . Both the cups were tea stained . The haggis was tasty and well cooked .

Friendly, relaxed, flexible and fun. Nick was a brilliant teacher and good company. Took Mother for some quality time together and she was immediately put at ease and we both had a lovely time. Will definitely go again. If you want quality experiences with friends and family AND you want to learn some great life skills to boot then book your place!

We just dropped by not knowing what to expect. It was a gorgeous day so we sat outside. Very polite young lady took our order pancakes with banana maple syrup and ice cream. Oh my goodness it was fab. If I didn't live so far away i would definitely be a regular.

This cafe served the worst scone I have ever had / didn't have. (and that's saying something as I'm in my 70s and have had a few in my time. You could build a house with a few of them. Inedible expensive rubbish. It came in a paper bag, no plate and a wooden disposable knife which struggled to cut it. The coffee was served in a paper cup. But was drinkable. Cost over £13 for two coffees and two inedible scones. I am disgusted and will definitely won't be back

Well after almost 12 months of planning the Veteran Vespa Club late summer rally was upon us. We had booked the whole place and had 39 members attending from all over the UK and Ireland. We were given a warm welcome by Alistair and Tatiana and very well looked after for the entire visit. Everything was perfect, including the weather which was warm and sunny for the full rally. A great place to hold such an event. We can't wait to return. Thanks.

We popped in here as we had read great reviews, they had a wide range to products, some definitely a little overpriced. As it was early afternoon, there wasn't much left on the bakery counter but we did get a few treats, which were delicious. As others have said, the man behind the counter wasn't very talkative, not even a smile. Worth giving it ago for something a little different!
